Reminded me of that series- have and have not

Pls read what you wrote again. How can I hungry person find something to eat while there are no economic activity taking place?
Do you Know that there are people that eat by what they make in a day?
Well the truth is that a hungry man is an angry man and soon the 'have not ' will take by force from those that 'have'[/quote]

This lockdown lockdown they are shouting all over will eventually end in chaos . It is absolutely insane to lockdown ppl in their houses for 2 weeks without providing them any food and expect them not to react.
Even the countries that started this lockdown method didn't do it this way, they are providing daily food to everyone and during the lockdown, they are going into every house testing everyone.
We are just telling ppl to lockdown , we are not testing them to know who and who is infected?
What the fg should have done is to close all schools ,give workers both state and federal workers 4 weeks break with double pay, ask all non essential private business to close for the same period , this will automatically reduce movement by 50% , give food markets 8hrs period to open every day. And establish testing centers in all wards and local government areas ,.TESTING IS THE KEY TO DEFEATING CORONA VIRUS NOT LOCKDOWN . the more you get ppl tested, the more you will understand and know what to do.

You get sense pass Nigerian government!

e, i haven't seen anybody that just died of hunger,

You obviously come from a privileged home... Daily people die of hunger around the world.. Please leave your comfort zone
Don't mind some people that only think from their own narrow view of life. How do they expect the transporters, market women, and others who makes daily earning to survive in this condition.

You blame them cos you have food to eat
Just wait until what you think your stored
Get finished then we shall know who will hit the streets first.

Take it or leave it the government is not ready to fight this virus.
I don't see Nigerians locking themselves indoor
When we all know that 80% of Nigerians
Can hardly feed 2 times a day.

Some people must go out everyday and return before their families can have what to eat.

You tell a man with 5 children who doesn't have any savings to stay at home

Will he watch his children die of hunger.

In as much as we are all scared of the COVID-19
Nigerian government should do the needful
If they truly want people to stay at home.

As far as I am concerned we have two deadly diseases presently one is the Coronavirus and the other is Hunger.

If they sit at home, hunger will still kill them. So,let them go out if they want.. You get food for your hux or say your dad na politician,no mean say everybody get like you o.. Many Nigerians survive with their daily earnings,if you don't know.. How many poor homes have you given food ,since the sit at home issue started in your street.. Lets be realistic ,e no easy for these poor people at all..

SoNature:

While you raised some valid points, you must understand why governments around the world are implementing lockdowns.

The truth of the matter is that Covid-19 is a new virus, and researchers don't know much about it up till now.

It is veryyyyyyyy misleading to assume that the little you know about the disease is all there is to it. Yes, researchers are losing sleep just to understand it better even till today.

For instance, if you read some facts about Covid-19 on WHO website, you will see that there are many questions begging for answers.

In summary, you can only contain something you understand not something you don't. The idea of lockdown is to reduce human interaction to the barest minimum because it's the fastest way of reducing the spread of Covid-19 pandemic.

It's quite a pity that we always bastardize things in this country, including religion and lockdowns.
[/s]What part of people are starving don't you understand?? Countries I mean working countries are daily giving out basic amenities to support their citizens, what has this useless zoo of a country done? The billions donated are currently being shared amongst themselves.

Who did Nigerians offend? Even in the midst of a global pandemic these criminals still found a way of making things more difficult for the masses. Go to Twitter and see millions of Nigerians posting account numbers everywhere begging!

RUBBISH

LET THEM BE TAKEN TO ITALY, THERE IS ENOUGH FOOD THERE

You see every country is suffering from this and they are trying to manage it. Every country also have something lined up for their citizens to cushion the effect of this lockdown.

How can Nigerian government says her concern is the poorest of the poor? What about the poor? Who will help them?

See, help everyone because as far as I am concern there are no longer middle class in Nigeria. You are either rich or poor. Help everyone. Read someone tried to drown in Osun state because of hunger. Is that not pathethic?

One thing must kill a man and if COVID 19 no kill them, hunger will. Why then stay indoors when the same government can quarantine you with good food once you are infected.

I am not supporting riots but let everyone take up it's responsibility. This is the right time to do things right and not for embezzlement or abuse of right.

The Nigerian people deserves the basic amenities. It's their right

I guess many do not understand the extent of the multiplicative effects of Corona virus otherwise, they will appreciate the scripture on how for a hungry person than the dead.

Don't blame them. Most of them are not online. How do they feed.

Lagos that had the highest Revenue Generation should be compelled to to real out palliative that can help cushion the effects of this lock down. Haba...

But when it is election season they will remember these people.

I don't blame the government of Nigeria. They are the luckiest elites in the world because you can't try this nonsense in sane climes without being leached to death.

You all can see now. Who is getting the blame now? Sanwolu you understand Lagos and you get correct sense. PMB solve this

Y'all know the kind of country we are in, if you like protest from now till next year, government no send you they no send you, if hunger catch you just find a way and feed yourself and stop dragging government inside your hunger because they didn't provide food for you before the lockdown, blame Corona not the government at this time !!

What a callous statement. I have seen with my very eyes people, children, dying of hunger. It's not like there is no food they are simply too poor to sustain themselves. Some people have already eaten the small food they had left over, with markets and business closed and transportation limited people are getting desperate.
