Charleys, that the fact that new yam festival is held annually in the east doesn't mean that is where the majority of our yams come from. The yam they call Onitsha yam is from the North. While we do farm yam in the south east, it is certainly not in the quantities that the north does.

In my small opinion the North shouldn't shut down if they have an alternative to combating the virus, because if they shutdown, the hunger people are shouting now will become times 3. The only price of food stuffs that seems normal at the market right now are the once from the north. U can check that out if u do not agree with me.

It is not their fault brother. This Lockdown really affecting some people heavily.

Because they refuse to do the right thing in peace time. What is the right thing... vote intellectually not sentimentally....

As an example. Mr. President came up yesterday to give a national speech thay was essentially lean on substance. You will have expected that Nigwrians will be up in arms seeking for a concrete strategy to end the pandemic or a timeline of activity towards an end but it appears even the goverment is helpless, the Presidential task force left at the mercy of the NCDC.

Now, if the pandemic has no exit strategy and thus an open time limit, it is safe to say that people and institutions offering citizen help will begin to reassess their capacity to offer such help.

In a nutshell if I had an extra N100 to help I will be willing to let it go if I knew I would not need it before the problem is over. But if I feel I will run out of resources too...
