it was my own Brother who betrayed me, immediate elder brother at that.

I have nursed this ambition of traveling abroad for hustle, so last year, I saved 700k and contacted my immediate elder bro, I told him I would auction my bet9ja shop and he objected and asked me to give him 500k from the money to support his luggage business, that after some months he would give me 1m, that's additional 500k.

I told mom and other siblings and they all agreed, dude has been a talk and do since day one.

I gave him the money February 8 2019 and went to Lagos.

we had Indonesia in mind but my woman's mother called and told me she would prefer me going to Germany rather than Asian country.

I told her I have been a keen follower of German thread here on nairaland that I can't afford that block account money.

she told me her step son stays and work legally in Germany that it would ease things.

she contacted my brother and he agreed and promised to send the money but he never did. all he does is keep whining and whining.

in November I got married. when he came back for my trad, he gave me 30k and promised he would return my money and the 500k he pledged after Christmas season.

January came, no show. my woman's mother called him and asked him to send only the one I gave him that he shouldn't bother adding his and he agreed with all pleasure, he said on 20th of February, he would send the 500k.

on 20th I didn't get any alert, I asked momma to call him and even complained to my uncles and they did. he swore to pay me on 23rd unfailingly.


on 23rd Feb, I received 60k (60,000) alert from him. I almost smashed my phone outta anger, told momma and she was like " Nwee ndidi"


I called him and asked why he sent me 60k. dude was like " when you stayed with me after school, u stole my money, when I sent you money to build in the village you chop my money, even the 30k I gave you.

after subtractions na 60k I owe you. I want mad, I was dumbfounded, I asked him for real? and he said I shouldn't contact him again and hung up.

I told momma and she said " forgive him, He is your brother, no matter what. "

that feedback from momma even worsened my plight.

I was so worried I had to go to his family house to know if his back but they said they didn't see him. I called his number and his number was switched off. call his gf and she said she doesn't know his were about. after a month I heard osas don go Malaysia. I ran back to his family house to ask his pple if it true. low and behold osas don travel and he knew I borrowed almost all those money for the business. I almost died. the pressure started coming in as to pay the loans I collected back. I had to sell my two washing machine, my dryer, and my keke and other tins from my shop and house to pay some of the debt. I had to let go of my two staff till I cud pay the money. but after every tin I found Benin uninteresting again cus I Ve lost every tin I Ve built over the years because of one person. I had to move from my room and palour selfcon to a one room, face me I face you, cus I cudnt afford it. my gf left me cus I too de complain money no de as b4. after the whole gbas gbos I relocated to Lagos for a fresh start as not kill my self cus of too much tinking and pressure. till today I pray for osas were ever he is, he ll find good in all he does. but I ll never trust any body again not even my family member. note trust is very expensive

My brother, some pains are just too much to bear. Like in my own case, I vowed that I will kill the guy or at least maime him when I see him. Honestly, I went through a lot. I almost lost my sanity. But friends talked to me..

Immediately after the burial, a friend of mine that I trust so much on nairaland came to me that he needed help.

He needed 600K to tie up a business deal that his life and future depends on it. He promised to bring back the money in 2 months. I explained my financial situation to him and how its expensive to do burial in our tradition and all that.

But being who I am, I wouldn't want a friend to pass up an opportunity so I approached my elder brother who in turn called a friend to lend me the money because my elder. My elder bro trust me with all he is got.

While collecting the 600K, I told them I will repay in two months time instead of the one month my friend told me.

One month elapsed and he didn't bring the money, I gave him grace of another two weeks hoping I will meet up with. The time I gave my elder bro and his friend.

One month elapsed and my dear friend behaved as if I am putting unnecessary pressure on him, saying ," Pasco, you chill na, I go arrange the bar give you, just exercise some patient a little longer", I don't like reneging on my words so I looked for someone on nairaland who borrowed me 600K in exchange for my 8 months salary starting from August last year to March

Those 8 months are the toughest period of my life. I was grieving my dad and couldn't support my mom the way I wanted to and couldn't explain it to anyone. Not even my elder bro knew what happened.

I swallowed it like man and was barely surviving for those 8 months.

I was Betrayed and he is still owing me.

I no swear o! But e go hard for me to stick my neck out for another like that and I learnt.

Many times, but the most recent on my mind is when I left CE church last year. I later declared that I wasn't a Christian on Facebook because of some posts I made which were true but which Christians didn't like.

Of course many insulted and even called me false prophet. What shocked me was even those close to me, I found making snide remarks and calling me end time false Prophet. Even more stupid was one guy who's life I had turned around by YAH's grace. He was jumping around my timeline making stupid comments. I introduced him to someone who gave him almost all his major engineering jobs. He even lived in one of the man's houses for free, got married and had a child right in that house. I gave him jobs to do and still had more waiting for him. Well that was it, I had to change him. I even found someone so good that it made this fool look like an apprentice. Christianity actually makes many people stupid.

I don't know what really happened but I apologise on their behalf, please don't confuse Christ with Christianity, we may bear his name, but we certainly don't always live up to it and please do not judge Jesus Christ by the actions of the church but judge the actions of the church by Jesus Christ.

After D Alert,i couldn't concentrate on lectures so i went home and waited for him but no show. the next day,i called his dad and alerted him about d matter and he said he hasn't been able to reach. honestly,i thought something bad happened to him cos his number was unavailable. Meanwhile, My Dad transferred my allowee for that week to my acct. the next day and i went to the bank immediately the alert came. b4 i could finish dressing up,i was debited the whole amount via the ATM card so i blocked the card. My coursemates then advised me to report the case to Anti Cult which i did. four days later,i saw him at bus stand & the idiot ignored me and boarded a bus.I called the AC office and they bundled him to their office. When i reached their office,he begged me to allow them release him cos he didn't remember anything after i gave him my ATM card. on hearing this, he was given a lovely slap,tied up and i was instructed to come 2moro.

Let me cut this short;HIS STORY: The idiot actually spent the money on his girlfriend's matriculation(whom i have never heard of by the way) who studies at Uniben and also bought a new phone. Well,because of his dad and our friendship,i took the new phone,begged them to release him and forget the case. His dad had to bail him out though. He Stopped being my friend or roommate that day.
