Left there a little over a year ago and if @ bolded is the current situation now, then that would really be fair on the students who pay over a 100k in school fees!
100k? Well, I am no longer a student there but I don't think this is in tandem with reality. Howbeit, I still keep abreast with the happenings in the school.

Shut up your dirty mouth and polluted mind. I maintain it’s a simple logic you choose to ignore or comprehend. Your point constitutes logical fallacy which is Non sequitur. I still maintain that UNN is the first indigenous university in Nigeria but not the first university in Nigeria. It’s like the African Church (the first indigenous church in Nigeria) claiming to be the first Church simply because the Roman Catholic Church and the Anglican are outposts of the Churches in Rome and England.

Is UI a foreign university?

What is the meaning of unn is the first indigenous university but not the first university.

Illiterate.

This is not a university I must stylishly say. How can a university be like this? Need to say, a federal university. Even my state uni will beat this hands down in terms of beauty, landscape, learning, and water view.

It's for first years, so? Look, UNN's school fees is higher than that of UNILAG and doubles that of ABU... whether for fresh or returning students.

Mr unteachable, get lost. I suspect you’re an alumnus of UNN. If so, over your stay in that zoo where ‘lions’ and ‘lionesses’ are bread, you’ve been indoctrinated. UNN is the first indigenous university in Nigeria whilst UI remains the oldest university on the Nigerian soil.

See useless excuse...... Tetfund distribute billions of money to all institutions especially federal.... It is up to that school to make do with it or not....

Ur Igbos are the one looting Tetfund..... Other schools are utilizing it well but ur east brothers keep looting n blame it on govt....

Rubbish lies..
for UNN, tetfund always disburse 60% of the project fund, after which they disburse the remaining 40% for completion, but it's annoying that tetfund would take forever to disburse the remaining 40%, I know how long it took to complete pharmacy complex, after it was left uncompleted for about a year or two (near completion oo, na just painting windows and times remain, and to think that they were very fast in building it only to pause for a very long while when the building was almost complete speaks volumes), leaving many projects uncompleted, and all of them are near completion...

Thank you brother for coming to the rescue.

The major problem with UNN is putting up large projects at once thereby leaving them uncomplicated at the long run. If UNN had completed most of her projects like the Mariam Babangida Amphitheater, Julius Dein Girlfriend Sports complex (Games village) infrastructure, New Post Graduate Complex, the administrative building at UNEC, the proposed Senate building and so many other buildings left unattended to, then it will amongst the top varsities with infrastructure.

When it comes to planning and layouts, the campus is well executed but since after the Civil War the school has been lacking in infrastructure but hurriedly putting up so many projects to catch up is trudging her pace to development.

Keep defending rubbish.... Some universities partners with private companies to build hostels.... They do that to generate internal revenue...

So don't bring that as an excuse.. The problem is that u wunt go out of ur east, u r just typing wit ignorance...

Most universities partners with private company to build hostels well well... Take the blame and stop shifting blame.

UNN is better funded than BUK, kano but it can't stand BUK in term of infrastructure... Blame ur school authority
forget that OP is a propagandist, aerial photos of this school would blow your mind...maybe you should visit the school your self, UNN is not the worst in terms of infrastructure, am sure of that

You can watch my comment all you want and choose to put it under the microscope as well. One sure thing is you wouldn't see me call out a tribe, because that misbehaviour irks me and that was exactly what you did initially to prompt my response.

People like you are a cancer to the society. You are a tribalist, and sadly , one without enough data who simply blows hot air from an empty head.

Every school partners with private organisations to boost some . Unilag does this all the time and recently, they are partnering with alumni association to build a mega hostel.

Attached is the budget for universities for the year 2019. Watch closely how NDA came first and ABU and UNN. Did you see how close the ABU and UNN budget were?

Yes, UNN receives a whole lot from the government but its management has consistently chosen to keep it in ruins than raise it from the dead.

Watch how no one would cry foul about OAU or UNILAG or other schools but your people. I'm sick and tired of this behavior on nairaland. The rot that went on in OAU for a long time until recently was always blame on the management as expected but not UNN. It would be blamed on the government.

Please, in your daily life, take responsibility and grow. If you keep blaming other, you back would forever be on the ground.
main University budget is used to pay lecturers and non academic staffs, and not used for projects,
as far as I know, tetfund forsees all building and research projects of the university and not the school pocket....

I must say, I am highly disappointed with what I saw here. UNN is really a good school but in terms of beauty in comparison with its fellow first generation schools like UI, OAU, Unilag and ABU, it is lagging far behind. I used to think UNN is more beautiful than this
you can't compare normal cam pics with aerial view...

Don’t mind them. The Igbos traditionally lived in hamlets and villages and had no centralised kingdoms and kings. The same affected the set up of UNN. Until Professor Ndili became VC, the physical development of UNN stagnated, Ndili embarked on aggressive development but had to fight civil war with Ndi Igbos who were “chopping, whipping their mouth and keeping quiet.” Most of the projects he embarked upon including the current main library were neglected by subsequent administration until Udeala sought to change the statusquo and again there was another civil war which led to Gomwalk being appointed Administrator. The reality is that in terms of infrastructure, UNN can’t complete with the likes of OAU, UI, etc.

Please with due respect, I went to a federal university and I stayed in the hostel for 5 years , I had access to the facilities very well and I can tell you that even the oldest hostel in my school is very conducive for nature’s call and other buildings and environment are kept clean everyday. They mow the lawn every 4weeks, If you mess up the toilet or the environment, you get penalized when caught cos there are people put in place to ensure that things are in place.
Definitely same with unn female hostels..the problems are usually the male hostels...unn female hostels are clean just like u mentioned..bw why not mention the name of that your university? undecided

Someone who is not biased should post better drone pictures and not just the biased op.
OP left the good ones and posted the bad ones
UNN has the best quality of education and successful graduates.
Let us forget tribal sentiments. I am a yoruba guy from ogun. I did my first degree in u.i and second degree in UNN.
I must confess UNN quality of education is very sound.
Their library is world class better than any university in Nigeria. Very big structure with standard books.
Research is also key when eating universities.
Even their senior staff club donated by first bank is cool.
A lot of nice buildings like VC building was not snapped
How many universities have a zoo or botanical garden.

Undoubtedly, UNN is still the best university in nigeria.
Better than any other school in nigeria.
I m a Yoruba from south west and I went to so many schools
There is no university better than UNN in Nigeria.
The op is snapping uncompleted buildings to give d school a bad name which is totally out of place cos uncompleted buildings show the school have more space to develop their infrastructure.
There are many beautiful buildings in both Nsukka campus and Enugu campus.
Even the technical education workshops in UNN is far better than most universities' faculty of education workshops combined.
Look at some of the buildings the op showed.
He should have snapped the UNN library very well and give us good pictorial evidence shots. You guys would be amazed the UNN library is one of the best in africa.

About the quality of education and sound lecturers, UNN is the best both at undergraduate and post graduate level.
A lion is always the best and king of the jungle.
Even in the labour market, a UNN graduate is highly respected.
A lot of past and current ministers and big names all graduated from the school.
Even lecturers that were once graduates like Charles Soludo, PN Okeke, Anyakoha and many others.
UNN does the best thesis and research in nigeria.
Truly a UNN graduate is ahead of you.

OP didn't even post some departments that are still wooden structures like Agric engineering classrooms. Physics lab, some classrooms in faculty of agric

The pics below are
1. Aerial view of UNN from Hilton
2. VC's office
3. Unn swimming pool
4. Unn stadium

Pics were gotten from nnewi1stson's old post

The Green house gate(South gate) Is the University Main Gate.
Most Dignitaries coming to UNN use the South Gate.
The North Gate which we all Know is frequently used because it is closer to market and other places.

Thank you op for This exposure. For that person trying to do a face saving post of UNN, shame on you. That's my alma mater, but I can assure you that each time I visit Nsk, I always weep seeing what is left of the school. Go to the entrance gate by ziks flat, it is riddled with pot holes, not to talk of other dilapidated structures. Apart from Prof. Chinedu Nebo who did his best to upgrade the academic and infrastructure of UNN. Others are not fit to answer VC. Beginning from Bartho Okolo and others I don't even care to know their names.
wetin pain me be say na this UNN be the most expensive federal university in the whole federation in terms of school fees. If u doubt lets do another research

Forget this thing.
UNN is not trying at all.
UNN is not the only University that has produced Quality Graduates.
The Topic is about Infrastructure Which UNN lack.
Which building is even worth it in Nsukka Campus?
Let me not Mention Enugu Campus because that one is nothing to write Home About.

I am a Lion. I do argue, though blindly, that it was because of Lack of funding, we were being Marginalized bla bla bla...
Until 2 years ago,i saw the the Budget of Federal Universities and i was Ashamed and Disappointed.
Since then,i knew UNN Adminstration has Failed woefully.
With High School fees, Top 3 Most Funded University, Nothing! Absolutely Nothing to show! [/sup][sup] cry
