Fola's POV

He turned to face me when I didn't say anything and just kept on looking at me. He let his hair down and the wind was blowing it making it look even more attractive, but of course I wasn't going to let him know that.

"What....cat caught your tongue?", he asked quietly as he took a step closer to me with a smirk plastered on his face.

"Oh please", I scoffed , folding my arms as I took a step back. "Pink's my favourite colour now. Guess you don't know that well afterall", I replied.

He smiled as he shook his head before raking his fingers through his hair.

"You know you almost had me there but I know you and you just said that just to spite me because......", he was saying but couldn't seem to finish his statement. I won't lie ,him talking about it now hurt but I wasn't gonna go teary in front of him now.

" Because of what...go on", I urged him to continue. "You think I changed I changed my face colour because you rejected me? you think I'm that petty or you're that important?", I shouted. i was going out of line and I knew it but he couldn't just assume stuff like that -- even though he's right sha-- and still have the guts to say it out.

"I didn't mean it like that, Fola", he said quietly.
"I'm sorry", he said again.

"Whatever, I'm leaving", I said as I made to walk away.

"So you never told me about this Moe guy, you guys seem.....quite close", he said out as I walked off.

I stopped in my tracks to face him. What does he care about Moe and I being close anyway.

"Yeah, I didn't see any reason to bring him up, besides he was out of the country plus it's none of your business who I'm close with", I retorted.

He held his hands up in mock surrender as he walked to where I was.
"Hey, calm down. I just asked because .....you know what nevermind", he said walking out on me now.

Why he was being all weird this night was beyond me, first it was about my fave colour, now it's about my closeness with Moe.
I made to continue going when I realized what the whole issue with Moe is about..
Oh my God, he's jealous.

"Hey, wait up", I called out as I picked up pace to
catch up with him.
"You're jealous", I said pointedly once I reached him. He made that funny face he always does when he's lying or wants to cover up something.

"What are you talking about..me...jealous?", he said. "You're something else", he said trying to walk away too but I held him.

"Yes, you're jealous", I said smiling now. "You're doing that thing with your face whenever you're lying. Matter of fact, you have you're lying face on now", I said.

"I don't have a lying face", he said quietly while looking elsewhere avoiding my gaze. He was clearly embarrassed now.

"Yes you do", I said back.

"I don't".

" You do".

"Don't"

" Do too"

"OK damn it", he screamed a little. "Geez you're so annoying. Ok maybe I'm abit concerned that you're hanging out with some other dude, it's just because I care and I don't want you getting into trouble", he continued.

"Lame", I said flatly. "Why beats me tho is why you're even jealous, you're the one who...", I was saying but was cut short by him.

"Just cut it off", he said. "You know I love you Fola", he said dryly like he was bored of the convo but that didn't stop the giddiness I felt inside me. I felt so light and elated.

" Then why did you tell me off", I asked. "Why?", I asked again feeling the tears coming back again.

"Because I ....I....I don't know, guess I was just scared. Scared to get burnt again", he said..... TBC

Dibz's POV

We stood there by the shores of the beach, not saying a word. Fola had her back turned to me while just continued watching the water. It seemed like our conversation had finished but neither of us left, like we were figuring out ways to restart the conversation.

"Fola?", I called her name softly. She didn't turn or move but I knew she heard and had somehow telepathically urged me to go on.

"I'm sorry about my behavior today. It was childish and immature and I've got no right to act jealous at all about who you choose to hand out with...", I paused. "..or date".

The last statement left a bitter taste in my mouth and the words felt heavy but I had to say it out. That seemed to get her attention as she turned to face me, arms folded and her pretty face expressionless.

"He's just a friend", she blurted out quietly. I had to strain my ears to hear her well.

"Say what?", I asked to which she just sighed.

"Moe, He's just a friend, a really close friend of mine", she said.

"Didn't seem like it", I muttered under my breath as I looked to the beach again, hoping she didn't hear it but as usual I don't always get what i want.

"What!", she asked.

"Nothing", I denied.
She scoffed before she chuckled --which sounded fake tho-- and then shook her head mildly.

"You've got some nerve", she said. "You're here acting jealous and all when you're the one who's doing couple goals with Hailey", she spat out.

I wanted to say something but caught myself immediately. If there's something I've learnt in all my time with Fola, it's to not make the mistake of saying a word when Fola's in this mode.

"She's been all over you since this I came to this party and you've been enjoying it all. Tell me, what did you guys do inside the house, huh...tell me!!", she raged on.

"Oh , cat caught your tongue now?...I saw you guys come out before you approached Moe and so tell me what you guys were doing inside when most of the party was outside", she asked again as she poked my chest hard , so hard that I had to take a step back to gain balance.

"Fola , wait....", I was saying but she poked me again.

"What?........you know I went inside cus I was pressed and guesd what, Inside was where everyone that was Hot went to let off steam, which now begs the question why could the both of you be doing in there, together"!!, she screamed.

"Fola wait...lemme explain", I tried to calm her down as i shifted further away from her.

"I wasn't doing anything with her, trust me ", I said again, getting further away from her as she kept on inching closer and closer.

"I..I......", I tried to say but was caught off by something on my lips preventing me from getting a single word out. Something so sweet that I didn't know when my eyes shut off on its own and my mouth opened up to receive whatever that sweet obstruction was.

Having been lost in the sweet snare of Fola's lips and as I tried to push her off gently, she strengthened her hold on me and said , "Oh just shut up and kiss me"....... TBC

Fola's POV

I couldn't stop thinking about my kiss with Dibz.
Now, the obviously it wasn't going to be something I was going to forget anytime soon, or like ever, but the fact that it wouldn't allow me to go to sleep despite how exhausted I felt was an issue.
Believe me I tried everything, everything to shut off that part of my brain, at least temporarily but my efforts were useless.
When I got tired of tossing and turning in my bed for the first few hours, I decided to to see one of the many TV shows on my Netflix queue to see if it would at least distract me. That didn't work either.
Eventually, I ended up lying on my bedroom floor just staring up at the ceiling and accepting that my fate for the rest of the night would be going over every minuscule detail of Dibz's lips on none.
No matter how cliché it sounds, I could still fed his lips on mine. Could still feel his hands caressing my cheeks and how much heart was to close to bursting why he continued to kiss me over and over again after we pulled away the first time. He obviously didn't want to let me go, and I couldn't say I didn't feel the same way.

I couldn't help but feel the next twenty four hours would be kinda imperative to out "relationship" considering that we didn't get to talk after the kiss or kisses. We were interrupted by Josh's call to Dibz telling him that they had to go. He held onto me for sometime though and even smiled before he left, so that's gotta mean something right?

However, I feel that if he doesn't call me that would mean that we are back to square one.

After breakfast, I went through the motions of my daily morning routine which included a very long and needed hot shower. It hasn't relaxed me as much as I hoped it would, but that was to be expected. I couldn't see myself calming down anytime in the near future.

I really didn't want to spend too much time thinking about Dibz because that would just riddle me with anxiety. So i put all my energy into necessarily completing all my tending school projects as I had my internship around the corner.

Eventually, I finished them or some of them and ran out of things to do and i ended up laying on my bed staring at my phone,willing it to ring which it did. Many times in fact, but I never saw the name I really wanted to see flash across the screen.

I groaned when my ringtone went off again and I jumped again only to see Tiara's picture pop up on my screen. While I had sent everyone else to voicemail, I decided to answer her call.

"Why?", I asked , my voice dull.

"Hey, hey", T chirped, clearly not picking up that my tone clearly indicated I wasn't in the mood to talk.

"I'm shopping today. wanna come?"

"Well, I suppose o can't spend my whole Saturday staring at my phone", I sighed rolling on my back.

"What?"

"Nothing. Let's meet up on twenty?"

"Perfect see ya then".

I jumped off my bed and grabbed a pair of heels near my dresser that didn't exactly match the green jumpsuit I had on, but I was so in my feelings I couldn't care less.
I tossed my wallet and every other in would need from my handbag to my small purse .

When I got to the mall I headed for T and I's unofficial waiting spot. She hadn't arrived yet, so I sat down to wait.
I crossed my legs and clasped my hands together tightly . My phone was tucked away in my purse ; which I was hoping would put at bay the urge to pull up Dibz's number and just call him myself.
Unfortunately for me the urge was still very much there. I felt bad he hadn't called me yet. I knew we were still on a rocky part in our 'relationship', but it was just common courtesy to call the person you kissed or was kissed by you at the beach multiple times the next morning. Chivalry couldn't be that dead.

Maybe I had made up the whole thing in my head, maybe we hadn't kissed, maybe it was nothing more than a sweet sweet dream.....TBC
