Normal issue in MIUI... Even if you succeed in applying it via other methods it will still keep reverting to the stock theme... If you want to use a third party theme flash a Custom ROM

I can't use any custom rom cos I just don't want to unlock my bootloader because most of these custom roms do have some kind of bugs, like during my samsung time, most of its custom rom had an issue of the camera.
Moreover I love the xiaomi UI as it is very smooth and optimised.
But in your opinion, what custom rom with less annoying bugs will you advise a novice like me to go for?

Go for MIUI Custom ROMs if you want to avoid bugs... The likes of xiaomi.eu, MiRoom, Masik MiNovo..... These Custom ROMs are still based on MIUI, so you will enjoy the MIUI features

Well maybe it was lagging on my phone because it is 3gb ram. It was not funny. WhatsApp became slow and all the phone was freezing somehow which was not so on my normal miui 11 rom. Till I moved to this new rom which has been so nice and cool.

Call recording is d only feature i miss on miui stock rom, custom rooms too sweet jare... no need for factory reset, reboot, battery drain

Lol. If you flash basic gapps (the one with AOSP dialer), you'll get call recording, full gestures (same as MIUI), third party applock will do.

Na only second space go miss. And since I don't use that, it's of little concern to me.

Not really advisable, if the memory card is slower than your internal storage (Which is mostly the case) then it slows down your phone.

Custom rom is not a must but if you are adventurous and willing to cope and patiently seek for solution if you encounter any challenges in your quest, you can start with a miui based custom rom like miroom, masik, miuimix etc and work your way up to asop like havoc, ion, evolution X etc. It just adds some spices to your overall experience while using your phone.

OrangeFox sometimes have issues with devices with 2gb ram. I'll suggest you flash the old version of your orange fox again.

Boss Olayinkjnr abeg come out me through too. I use a Redmi Note 7 too.

- Boot into OrangeFox
- Format data
- Wipe everything except /vendor and SD/OTG
- Reboot recovery
- Flash BUILD.zip
- Flash Magisk
- Reboot to system

I flashed corvus os v6.5 with gitgapps.
Also I flashed predator kernel v7. 7.
A guy on telegram that giuided me from a-z without asking for a dime. I get luck
It's perfect.
One more question, I have no idea on how to install gcam and which is best for my device.
The tutorials on YouTube are not helping at all.
