I posted something about fraud on my WhatsApp status sometime ago and yahooguys on my contact list were telling me that politicians are the cause of fraud lol. That Interpol and the rest should arrest politicians and leave yahooboys alone,I was like you’re right about government not trying but the innocent people you guys are defrauding are they responsible for the bad governance in this country? No. So,if they’re so eager to scam they should scam the politicians that messed up the country not innocent foreigners.
Because of the activities of these fraudsters foreigners don’t trust Nigerians anymore. You’ll go through unwarranted and unnecessary checks at airports just because you’re a Nigerian while other folks from countries like South Africa won’t be checked.
If you tell these guys to stop engaging in fraud they’ll say you’re hating or jealous
Talking about bad governance,is Nigeria the only country with bad governance in the world? Venezuela and Zimbabwe e.t.c are countries with bad governance yet their citizens don’t go about scamming innocent foreigners because of the situation in their country.

Most Nigerians just have a criminal and get rich quick mentality and this has nothing to do with the state of governance in the country because most of them take this same disgusting mentality to countries with good governance e.g USA and Canada.

Tell them! There can never be any justification for being a FRAUDSTER aka COMMON THIEF.

Blame it on your elected officials not innocent yahoo boys hustling for a better future that the corrupt government could not provide.

If not for yahoo, imagine the rate of armed robbery and kidnapping that would have been rampant today.
Yahoo has helped a lot of people.

If your country was good, well developed, provided high quality of life and basic amenities for her citizens, you would not be bothered about any abroad image whatsoever.
I repeat, blame it on your elected officials.
Tell them to develop the country to international standard.

Government should first create environment that encourages youth development and advancement.
If not, yahoo has come to stay.

Yahoo helped alot of people you say?
And destroyed a lot of victims too I must add

And what makes you think you'll not get swayed by wealth and power? Whoever is going to turn Nigeria round must be someone who is not fazed by those & must have lived enough in abundance to see them as what they really are. Temporal gains
. .Rochas comes to mind.

Imo people voted for him on the strength of what you wrote, but what did they get?

The guy went ballistic, Looting everything in sight and was in a fierce battle with those who tried to stop him.

As for you OP, you are exactly the same as the kidnappers and armed robbers you have mentioned, fraud is not a victimless crime. Stop justifying CRIME!!

If you're referring to INNOVATE1, you're right. I think their office is based in Chicago.

I had the same challenge as you regarding the double charge (October 2019) but I got refunded after two weeks of contacting them. Send a copy of the bio data (first) page and third page of your new international passport, reference ID/no of the payment you want to be refunded to this email address refund@innovate1services.com

OldSkoolHeadBoy:
Nothing new ! I guess you are just renewing your passport in Canada for the first time and you are just seeing this. Those guys are scammers over there. Actually, they use an agency based in New York to receive payments. If you call them, you will hear them speaking with Indian accent. They made me pay for the same passport twice because they claimed 32 page passport would not be available for a long time after I have paid for it. I was advised to apply for a 64 page passport by paying in full the second time. I have applied for a refund since January 3, 2020 and up till this moment the money has not been refunded despite my numerous emails asking for it.

My consolation is that I received the passport within two hours of visiting the embassy in Ottawa and I did not have to sleep in a hotel for several days and pay over and beyond the cost of the refund.

Nigeria own is different, most white fraudsters don't use fake ids as they are already white, that one apart the ratio of fraudsters to citizen is very low.

But in Nigeria, almost everybody knows at least one fraudster in person. Imagine that.

Nigerians are baby fraud star ....

The white men that are wicked hackers are the real deal and u hardly catch them

Nonsense, this is because the merchant processing the payment is from Nigeria, it’s common for banks not to authorize transactions involving international merchant.

That’s why your bank always advise you to call before going overseas so they can authorize your card for international use

I heard that in Dubai Nigerians now have a new strategy of committing crime in markets, they move around with pepper spray, or pepper doused in water if they see a wealthy Arab carrying a bag in a secluded or isolated area. They would walk asif they are just passing u then pour the pepper into your eyes.

As u go for your eyes screaming from the pains they would flee with your bags. This is the kind of evil criminal mindset Nigerians keep displaying

What a stupid "You heard"

Does this make sense to you?

So childish... Where do you think from? You just sat down and constructed this rumor... doesn't even make sense...

Lately on twitter I had to change my location from Nigeria to worldwide, if u are having a sincere discussion with a foreigner once u mention Nigeria that discussion is over.

Politicians are scamming citizens, citizens are scamming foreigners, the non smart citizens are becoming armed robbers and kidnappers.

U dae your own, dae mind your business d country just dae spoil left right centre back yard everywhere.

I dont know what it will take for Nigerians to see that we live in a shitty country...

How can we start a revolution... This shits has to stop

Nigerians keep living like they dont give a Bleep about the country

Nothing strange but is it a good thing?
You are the one looking at it this way. Many international merchant sites not even in Nigeria, you may have to call your bank to allow the credit card payment through.
Only difference here is the merchant (immigrations) is how giving you a heads up that it may not work.

Not all CCs automatically work on all merchant sites. It has nothing to do Nigeria or what not.

Re: What I Saw While Trying To Renew My Nigerian Passport by Socialproject: 9:59pm On Jul 05, 2020
It depends how you look at it, and by logic it should only be indicated if you try to renew abroad.
Its even more embarrassing when you are about to use your Nigeria Card abroad.
Here is my experience in Nov 2019.
Landed in Accra for company /business trip , to check into Kempinski Hotel to pay for my reserved room. Both my First Bank and Stanbic Master cards were declined.
Had to call my account Manager who informed me I needed to inform the bank I was traveling inorder to grant me access for duration of stay. Hmm!
So in less than 15mins , my card was activated and I made payment.

If you see the way the front desk babe was starring at me like I was a scammer , very sad.
