Now that I'm clearer on the process, I'm still a bit concerned that I won't be able to make it in time for my welcome week, which is Sep 21 and start of lectures, which is Sep 28.

My school, Sussex University stated on their website that due to the current crisis and the unforeseen delays, they will allow students resume as late as October 16, 2020 and before that time, offer online classes.

My question now is, will UK immigration allow students entry into the country even after our start date has passed? For US, I know they refuse visas when you are applying past your start date and don't like to see students travel after this date. Is it the same for UK?

I should meet up with this Oct 16th date. I've emailed the school also with this question but while I await...

I need help please. When the main applicant gets to the IHS link for payment it reads you have no dependents. Everything is in order. I don’t understand why the dependents and main applicants application is not linking up.

What do I do? Does the main applicant pay the ihs surcharge for everyone or it is paid on each individual application?

Also when I click the ihs link to make my own payment I get this error message.

Has anyone experienced this before?

I got the same message that "you have no dependents" after filling the form too even after I had listed my children in the section "People you support financially". I checked again and got the same result.

So I went ahead and paid the IHS separately on each application, as you have to fill a form for each dependant individually anyway.
At the start of each dependant's form you will be asked for the name and GWF number of the main applicant to link the applications.

Re the screenshot I didn't get that - all the applications I made went through without hitches thankfully, but if that's what it says, then that's most likely what it means, so try again.

Please when asked if you are travelling with dependents, did you give just a short answer or you said yes with reasons .

When asked what your dependent will be doing what was your response.

Finally how did you make your payment? Dollar card or naira card and how much altogether

He didn't say when the visa will be ready, I don't think they do.

I don't have relatives in the UK but I've friends. He went further to ask if the said friend is a student or if he's working.

About the quarantine, he didn't made mention of it. He just asked where I'll be staying, cost and type of apartment.

I wasn't asked what they'll be doing.

I paid with my dollar card.
