I think you can try searching the thread. I can't remember what page exactly, but this issue was thoroughly discussed previously.
Unfortunately I don't remember the exact conclusion, so I can't advise

I don't mind spending extra money to get them to respond. I'm really frustrated tbh.

Hello, why not give it a try? Ontario province is flexible and you'd have the chance for a refund if they feel your degrees will not suffice. They respond easily to mail enquiries and phone calls. I wish you well in whatever decision you make.
God bless!

Hello all, please I have a question; for proof of funds, is it possible to make use of 2 gift deeds? So for example, if my brother and mum give me money to make up my proof of funds in my mutual fund, do I need to show 2 separate gift deeds? Is this acceptable?

Guys please help on the above o, thanks

Hello House,

I need some advise re my EE profile. I got into the pool in May with a score of 470. For my marital status, i chose "Married", but indicated that my husband will not be accompanying me as we were already having issues. We have now separated and are moving forward with a divorce. Thankfully, we have both decided to be very civil with one another especially as we have a child together.

As I earlier mentioned, I submitted my EE application with my marital status as “Married with non accompanying spouse”. From my understanding, this means that my husband will have to do his PCC, medicals and be counted as a member of the family re POF.

However, I want to change the status on my profile to Legally Separated. As I prepare my documents in the hopes of getting an ITA soon, could you please advise me on the following?

1. Will my husband still be required to submit his ECA, PCC, Medical Clearance if I change my status to “Legally separated”?
2. What documents do I need to submit to substantiate my status as “legally separated”, as I will be unable to get a divorce certificate yet. Please note that the divorce petition is already being filed. Like i said, my husband and I are quite cordial, so if there's any document i need to get from him, that wont be a problem.
3. Will my husband still be counted as a member of the family re POF if I change my status to “Legally separated”?
4. My child has US citizenship. Should i use the US passport or the Nigerian one when applying?

Thanks a lot for any help I can get.

I am sorry about your situtation. I am interested in your case but i dont have adequate answers for you but would refer you to the gurus on telegram

So adding the B.sc has its advantage even if you have ND and HND?

Good afternoon all,
A friend I introduced to this journey in January got ITA in the last draw, even when the introducer is still struggling with IELTS lol, she is about to submit her application and needs clarification

Question: She applied for Canada visiting Visa in February, 2015 through an agent. She only went to Lagos for biometric, every other details including email address used for correspondence was arranged by the agent.

After sometimes the agent returned her passport to her, so she didn't know if she was refused, ban or so.

Please what will she input in the column where she is to indicate if she has been refused a Visa before

Thanks for your prompt response.

Hello people. Please for those who evaluated masters degree with WES using ETX-NG, were you able to get your report early enough before the estimated completion date or it even exceeded the estimated completion date.

I suspect whether you are married or separated he will still need to do PCC & medicals, provided you are not divorced yet.

This application checklist may help, it has the doc you need to provide to prove your separated status - https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/permanent-residence/express-entry/applications-received-on-after-january-1-2016-completeness-check.html

Please see below for an applicant that was separated, you may want to reach out to her - https://www.nairaland.com/5031893/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/35#76008552

I don't know if a spouse one is separated from (but not divorced from) still counts as one's spouse, if so then he is a dependent and needs to do PCC, Medicals and your POF needs to cover him. I am NOT 100% sure though, so please check, check and check again.

According to IRCC- Separated: means that two people are married but no longer living together, and they do not wish to live together again. They may be waiting for a divorce or have not yet decided to divorce. Dependant: a spouse, common-law partner or dependent child of a permanent resident or principal applicant.

You could also wait till ITA to see what your placeholder checklist will look like to see what you need to provide, based on your selecting "separated".

You will need to update all your child's nationalities and passport details post ITA, in our application. Good luck!

Thanks for the clarification ednut1, I believe you are enjoying Canada grin..

ednut1:
language = 16 points, bsc =21 points , work experience 2-3 years = 11, age 18 to 35 =12 points making 60/100. It depends on the person too, if he has relatives in canada that is 5 more points, or work experience above 3 years equals more points too.

Good day house,

For those who have experience with Manitoba provincial nomination, how do you proof close friends?? Or what are the requirements needed to proof close friends who is a PR

Also can one use gift deed as proof of funds for a provincial nomination? Can the gift deed be in a Canadian bank account less than 3 months before ITA?

I await your responses

Thank you

I will answer the ones i can:

1. Yes you can school as a PR in canada. You even get study grants and loans. You can start schooling as soon as you gain admission

2. Dual intention is possible. I cant however say if it affects your chances.

3. Your finance will need his own independent visa Ofcourse. He or she isnt a child that ‘can be taken along’

4. No answer
