Please is there anyone here that applied for their UK visa in March and is yet to receive their documents or passport? I applied in March and still haven't heard from TLS. I have contacted UKVI and the matter has been escalated twice but still nothing from TLS. What do you advice that I do?

The question should be if he has a reservation that carries that amount. Some persons don't include flight reservation in their application though. It's kinda relative.

Hello Folks,
Is there anyone who used the free NHS test result to fly BA or any other airline to Nigeria recently? I hope it's acceptable in Nigeria.

If it's a PCR test it is accepted.

Whether the test is free or not doesn't concern Nigeria.

Rapid response tests aren't accepted due to its margin of error

Please explain, what category does the UK Govt Home Test Kit fall into? That's what I plan to use.

There's not really a category. When you took the test did they put a swab down your nose? If yes, then it's a PCR test.

Additionally, if you have not taken the test tell them that you want a PCR test, not that you need to though as most people are given PCR tests unless you request for rapid response test.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by cerezo: 1:00pm On Oct 09, 2020
Thanks a lot. This is very helpful. The Home Test kit requires you to put the swab gently into the nostrils, so I guess it qualifies for PCR test. Once again, thanks for the clarification.

Awesome weekend to every one.

I have tried paying my visa fee today through paga, but I'm experiencing challenges from been debited.

It will initially say pending and later takes me back to payment on the application form from paga account.

Is there anyone experiencing this?

Can some who have had this experience, should help out pls.

Thanks

I feel your initial breakdown is fine i.e the 1k plus. If you are travelling with your 2 kids £800 + might be an unrealistic sum unless someone is contributing to your trip.

Your salary of 400k + is quite decent. I assume you also have savings to show.

Goodluck

P.S You don't need to attach a detailed breakdown of your budget to your visa application. Personally, I wouldn't advise that as if they wanted a breakdown they would have asked you to provide one.

Was this because their said holiday was less than 14 days? or for what other reasons please?
I don't think so, it may be because of hotel palava.

I will be glad if recent travelers can also contribute their own experience at the poe.
this thread should not just be about how to get visa but also how to cross the bridge. unfortunately when they get visa they disappear.
I believe some persons are dieying in silent as result of this hotel wahala.

i think someone can contact the hotel to make a tangible arrangememt for covid-19 quarantine and let them know that the immigration at POE will CALL them is they can provide security fot quarantine etc etc.

then request a mail from them to solidify the arrangement, i think if hotel can do this for anyone, there will be no issue at POE

Make a formal complaint to home office about your inability to receive a decision on your visa application. They'll take it up from there.

£900 is sufficient for a 7 day stay.

This is a vital update on you all being afraid of using an hotel. A friend who intended to spend 7 days in the UK decided to go for 21days due to the self isolation....he booked an hotel in wallsall for 21 days with 14 days quarantine placed on his hotel reservation for one room and he then have another 7days in another room for his usual program stay. So they issued him two different reservations the same hotel....on the first 14 day reservation he has a monitor name ( a staff of the hotel on it) and mobile number. He arrived yesterday the hotel was called and the guy picked up and he is good now....he is in self isolation in the hotel cos he got to the UK yesterday. He went with Turkish airlines and he arrived in Birmingham airport.

West Midlands is a region outside London. Walsall is like a mini town in the west midlands. One of the most popular places around Walsall would be Birmingham/Wolverhampton. I hope this helps

Good evening house, and thanks for all the help and support you give freely to those of us who are not so familiar with the system.
Please I like to ask, if it's OK to submit just my business statement of account since am an entrepreneur and not really on a fixed salary. Although I have a savings account but the acct balance isn't much since I usually spend everything I put there.
Again do I need a leave approval letter since am my own boss.
