Hello all, please I need a candid advice from experienced people here. I've been an early years teacher for 7 years. I have a BSc in psychology. I want to do a diploma course in early childhood education but some people tell me a diploma is too low for me. That I might not be given visa. Please I need your help urgently so I'll know the way forward.
You just have to show a strong correlation between your current employment and proposed course, I am currently in the same boat, I have my Bsc in computer science and i currently work as an IT Administrator and i am going for a diploma in electronics engineering at NAIT.
Yes career progression is also a strong factor, but I clearly stated that because of the hands-on practicality of NAIT's curriculum i am opting for a diploma at NAIT... If you can get PGD that will be good as well...
Honestly we can only hope for the best.

Hello everyone. I was offered admission to study nursing in Canada but as a second degree. Although, I have a first degree in microbiology. Have been scared of applying for my visa because I was told that I’ll be denied since am going for another bachelor’s degree program. Please how true is this?
You shouldn't be scared, you just have to be able to convince the visa officer as to why you want to go for another degree... There isn't any law that states that you can't go for another degree, you just have to convince the visa officer.

Good day nairalanders, I have started my online application but I am having some challenges.

1. under client information for my child's section, i uploaded a Pdf copy of his berth certificate, daycare enrolment document and letter from my husband to prove he will take care of his stay in Canada with me. but I was asked to remove the document, may i know why and how to go about it?

2. Under my proof of means of financial support, I added my full scholarship award letter, my statement of account (for 6 months) and that of my husband's company's account to show as proof of support funding for I and our child. Are my in order?

3. What will I upload under my own client information?

Thank you as I await your response.

*URGENT PLEASE!!!*
Please I have a question: My brother is trying to apply for his student visa. His course is for 2 years and he plans to go with his family. Please note that his children are 12 and 11 years old. His problem is that when he generated their document lists after responding to questions, it was not required of his wife or children to do medicals; just him. Is this okay or should they all go ahead and have their medicals done?

Looking forward to getting responses please

A student Visa for two years study and he is taking his children, the Visa Officer might see this as a means of migration rather than studies. That aside, his family needs to get their medicals done too

Hi guys
Got a question and its really freaking me out.
While doing some personal research I heard that apart from showing sufficient proof of funds, one of the reasons a study visa may be rejected is insufficient ties to home country defence. I just finished serving last year and I am yet to get a job so I don't have any work experience...will this limit my chances..I.am really freaking out

Have you received your Letter of Introduction yet?

In essence, your visa stamping took 2 weeks?

Yeah, got that already. It took 3 business days. Delay was mainly because it was international courier. Used a cheaper option to send it and it took about a week to arrive.

Hi all,
I applied for study permit and i have received a mail requesting for mypassport but in theletter it states that my passport expiry date must cover my study period because permit expiry datewould be the same as my passport expiry date.
My questions;
1. Is this possible? shouldnt it be the expiry date on the program not my passport?
2. if so i need to plan to process my Nigerian passport renewal. I am looking to renew in the USA.

Nigeria has 3 embassies in the US; New York,DC and Atlanta. I want to know which one is currently processing the renewal faster. PLEASE YOUR RESPONSE IS MUCH APPRECIATED, would it be too much to also ask for someone's contact at the embassy who could be of assistance.

Thank you!

Wow. Congratulations
Is the business day between the day you sent to VFS and the day it arrived?
Secondly, did you receive the introduction letter before your passport arrived?
Lastly, please what vfs office did you use?

Thank you.

Business day is when Vfs received it to when I was informed it had been finalized by the VAC
Introduction letter arrived once it was finalized at the VAC.

Thanks for the amazing compliments about me and best wishes. It couldn't have been made possible without the presence of the honourable members of this platform. So I appreciate you all for the opportunity to contribute my quota on this thread.

In retrospect to your enquiry about financial sponsorship documents to be prepared by the church. I would enumerate the below information;

1. Certificate of Incorporation (shortlisting the names of the Trustees in the church).

2. Letter of Sponsorship.

3. Financial Resources (Six (6) months bank statement of the church).

4. Resolution letter (declaring their awareness and agreement to sponsor your education in Canada).

5. Bank Reference letter supporting the statement of account.

6. Proof that you're a bonafide member of the church (ID card and reference letter from the organization you belong to in the church as well as pictures with your fellow members in the church).

7. Payment of the entire tuition fees from the church bank account, and highlighting the date on the SOA.

8. A domicilary account in your name showing transfer/deposit of equivalent $10,000CAD from the church in support of your annual living expenses.

The above documents should be sufficient to demonstrate their ability to finance your studies in Canada.

In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to reach out here.

It will end in praise.

Someone should please help me with this

Please help, I want to re-submit my application by next week

My GCMS file dropped yesterday and the reason for my rejection was stated.

I applied for PGC in Global Business Management @ Centennial College though I have HND in Statistics and also ICAN chartered accountant with over 6 years of working experience. Since I can't apply for Masters Degree except doing PGC because I actually wanted to do an MBA in Business Administration.

I was refused based on the attached documents.

I want to reapply, please any information or direction to go about this will be appreciated.

@ frankrobbn, justmellow, chocs and the gurus.

Thank you
