Point No1: how does this point make sense? You think the rate of fornication is low? Fear of pregnancy stops only the ignorant and brainwashed from fornication. If your point were true, then no one will fornicate at all.

point No2: this is totally wrong. If abortions were legalized, that means every girl and woman can walk into a hospital to get one. That's less chances of it being done by a quack. This is why women don't die of abortions in developed countries, because only licensed professionals do it. This will reduce the death/morbidity rates. Let me give an analogy.

If operations like appendectomies were to become illegal in Nigeria, many people will die because even though doctors know how to do the surgery, they won't because it is against the law. This now creates opportunity for quacks to make money illegally by saying that they will do the operation and name thier price. And the patient will be in too much pain and desperation to refuse.

If complications arise that would threaten the wellbeing of the woman, can she have an abortion?
Things aren't black and white.
If a thirteen year old is raped by her father and she becomes pregnant, a risk to her health. I see no reason why she can't have an abortion. Take christianity away, why is aborting a baby so wrong?
And if the girl survives, how good a mother do you think she would be? A child raising another. The baby would grow up begging alongside it's mother to eat. It wouldn't have a standard education or healthcare.
Who want's to live like that?
Do you think the baby would grow with love and care? or most likely hate?
How many people would support her? The hypocritical Nigerians who blame rape victims? The fraudulent churches around? The government? Even her family would case her away.

Aborting a pregnancy, not aborting a baby. A baby is the name given to an already born human being.

While it is still in the womb, especially less than the age of viability of 28 weeks in Nigeria (the age at which it can survive on it's own with or without assistance) it cannot be called a person.

It is just potential, that's all.
