@tollyboy5, you still haven’t answered the question below so we can proceed further! May be you already see where it is going and you’re not yet prepared to give up your Wadai/Sudanese illusion for reality. Just may be. @tollyboy5: |

TAO11:I just came online because of bad network. I'll post some documented research from ijebu scholars from LASU so you'll stop reading from non-ijebu scholars. All ijebu scholars knew the ijebu history was not documented properly for selfish reasons. The account on the awujale you said agreed on mythical ife origin holds no water has it was just a general believe that whole yoruboid race came from Ife I'll mention you when I'm back |

TAO11:Lol I don't know why you're all about when a kingdom is founded . when I'm talking about migration legend that date back to to centuries BCEs. Ill be back in an our. Maybe your argument be that people started existing at wadai when the kingdom was formed ![]()

tollyboy5:Interesting! Please educate me on this interesting “selfish reasons” that caused early Ijebu historians and people and kings to regard Ijebu-Ode’s origin as being from IFE rather than from the alleged actual prestigious Wadai which they allegedly suppressed from some strange reasons. Lol! Also, what does “ijebu scholars from LASU mean”? Does it for example mean someone who teach, say, Biology at LASU and is from Ijebu-Ode. If not, please clarify what you meant and cite their relevant materials. Lol The account on the awujale you said agreed on mythical ife origin holds no water has it was just a general believe that whole yoruboid race came from IfeWhat makes you so convinced that ALL the the olden days Ijebu-Ode people and kings are dummies who would ignored who they allegedly really are and instead accepted to be who they are not? |

tollyboy5:Well, I’d help you to know why we should be all about when Wadai was founded. ![]() Your recently fabricated legend claimed that Ijebu-Ode people came from Wadai (based on what you confirmed to me). Are you now beginning to appreciate why it is important that we know when Wadai was founded? This is so that we can do a date comparison of when it was founded and when Ijebu-Ode was founded. By doing that, the outright absurdity or the potential possibility of your legend may be established. Is the methodology now clear to you? |

gomojam:That one... being shamed is not a new thing to him. You will see him beating his chest and declaring himself the winner of an argument after he had been obviously dismembered, incapacitated, embarrassed and consistently trashed. Shamelessness dwells within his marrow, he can never come to term wit what it is to be shamed and be considered an invalid (even by the very group he thinks he speaks for) |

TAO11:By you analysis of when kingdom was founded and when people migrated you're simply telling me stuff like. Egypt was founded June 8 1953 so in the early bce there was nothing like Egypt bah!, Israel was created may 14 1948 so there was no Israel prior to early BCE according to your kingdom analysis . Feb 10 1947 was the time lybia came to existence since thats what it was founded bah! I think you're the one who is cracking bigger joke here. You think you're factual but no you're not. Please tell me the names of the awujale that accepted the ife myth before the present awujale became the king 1960 . Let's know if you're not expanding the lies of old historians. And the ijebu historians you talked about pls give me their names I have to be sure they're ijebu historians. Talking about the ijebu people claiming they came from ife. They're not to blame for historical myth. even the so called ife people don't know where they migrated from. They thought they fell from the sky lol I'll upload those image. I meant to say UNILAG not LASU. |

This just an historical review. A factual origin is what we are after not the ife traces you're talking about. Instead of the old historians to focus on ijebu history so they'll know their origin they went as far as promoting the oduduwa claim on every Yoruba race. too bad!

(1) Can you please educate me on the difference between these two? — (A) A mythical and spiritual ancestral home, and (B) An aRcHaEOlOgIcAl ancestral home.Myth are exaggerated stories of actual event. They might be distorted but should not be discarded. The ife myth on ijebu has been exaggerated for too long and it going to stop now.

tollyboy5:Interesting! Listen, for learning, one of these key attributes are essential — integrity and humility; especially when there is obviously very little in common between you and the person whom you’re discussing with. Now to attempt addressing your long blather, your analogy of Egypt, Israel, Libya, etc. is an ignorant and false analogy. The modern COUNTRY of Israel is what was created in 1948, the KINGDOM or empire of Israel on the other hand flourished centuries earlier. The same point applies to the other examples you gave. As regards, Wadai which is the specific name mentioned by Oba Adetona (and which you also confirmed) as the place from where Ijebu-Ode people came; Wadai has a beginning date and an end date. There is no present-day modern COUNTRY called Wadai. So, your analogy falls flat on its nose. Only one Wadai existed throughout the history of Africa. It was founded in the year c.1501. Prior to that date, there is no kingdom or empire called Wadai in Africa. And after 1912 there is no kingdom, empire (or even country) called Wadai in Africa. In sum, Oba Adetona’s statement that Ijebu-Ode people originally came from Wadai therefore has no confusion. It simply means what it means — that the ancestors of Ijebu-Ode people migrated Wadai at some date between 1501 (at the earliest imaginable) and 1912 (at the latest imaginable). Please tell me the names of the awujale that accepted the ife myth before the present awujale became the king 1960.Ife-origin classical historical account you meant to say? Lol! There seem to be an overuse of the word “myth” on Nairaland. Is it some newly discovered fancy word?? Lol. Having said that, every single Awujale during whose reign the Sudan alternative-history was unheard of; Or during whose reign the Ife-origin classical account was already documented (by D.O. Epega in 1919) in fact upholds the Ife-origin classical account. The internet has a listing of the names of all Awujale including those who ruled since 1919 when this classical Ijebu-Ode account of Ife origin was documented into writing. Let's know if you're not expanding the lies of old historians. He who makes an extra-ordinary claim against the default/status quo that has a burden of extraordinary proof. So, it is you (not I) who must bring extraordinary evidence to attempt to disprove the age-long Ijebu-Ode’s classical account of Ife origin. And the ijebu historians you talked about pls give me their names I have to be sure they're ijebu historians.I could have you (and not I) mentioned some LASU (UNILAG) Ijebu historians. You’re hilarious! Have you first proven that your Ijebu.Talking about the ijebu people claiming they came from ife. They're not to blame for historical myth. even the so called ife people don't know where they migrated from. They thought they fell from the sky lolInteresting! Since you’re a die-hard Sudanese wannabe, can you then tell where your Sudanese people themselves came from, etc. I’m not sure if you’ve heard of this before: There is a difference between a historical account (such as Ijebu-Ode people coming from Ife) and a mythological account attempting to explain the origin of the world, origin of life, origin of mankind (every people of the world has this including your new found Sudanese families). If you have heard of those before, then is there any reason why you didn’t know the difference between the two?? I'll upload those image. I meant to say UNILAG not LASU.I thought want you wanted to upload should submit your Sudanese alternative history. It doesn’t look like it does. Instead it appears to debunk it instead. Do you not know the difference between what supports you and what debunks you? |
