I mean she is an hijabia, about to be promoted to the level of those that wear net on their faces. I don't want to mention others. Hypocrites everywhere. |

A lot of comments here are quite worrisome and it seems like some people have been trained to hate Islam and Muslims because of their modest form of dressing in the hijab, as opposed to their own immoral dresses and way of life. Obviously a lot of this people, especially some christians that preach tolerance are irritant who don't wish for morality to prevail in our society. I can also understand from the comment that some are geniunely ignorant about government being the true owners of the aforementioned schools and hence their argument against the usage of the hijabs in the supposed "christian schools" was justified! However, since government owned this schools, Muslims who wish to exercise their religious right should be free to do so without being intimidated in any form!!! |

BabaOwen: Kindly name the LGA and how many in number compared to muslim dominated. Also remember all political offices from LGA's all the way to federal are muslims. So ur argument here is bull and void. Truly when faced with superior argument, they cower in shame. |

oloyedewaris:Shay nah u build it for d govt. u better ask old person in your house for d history of missionary schools in nigeria. ansaru Islam school that can not even allow Christian teacher to do 10 mins prayer in an ordinary empty class. muslims should first check how they are treating Christian teachers and students in Muslim schools first b4 they can comment. |

Ayilara1:You claim to know what is right and wrong, that is a lie. The public school is St peter catholic school, how does that sound to you? Is not Nigerian national school. Go back to history and see if right or wrong these schools were government schools. If you know right and wrong then after now no need for hijab debate. Like i said i cannot take my ward to Islamic school because i don't want to cause problem. And If Muslims truly want peace they know what to do but this act of invasion as always in anything they want must be put to an end. You can open Mosques up and down why not schools? Christianity and Islam are not joint venture unless in a case both agreed to work together. And in the case of hijab, the Church say No. And that ought to have been respected been that the Muslims have right to also say No. Acknowledge there are differences and they must be tolerated and accepted by both sides, moving forward. This is more simple than ABC. Civilisation or backwardness, we should learn to accept and welcome things like culture, norms, rules the way they are especially if it is not within our jurisdiction. It does not belong to us but others. Again, there is a saying "where your right stop, another man right start". One love. 1 Like |

The truth must be told, these were mission schools and yet the state government wants to impose Islam on these mission schools, it's very wrong. I attended government school growing up, but the Tinubu govt returned it to an Islamic organization back then in 2021, this Islamic organization made it clear that it is Islamic assembly and IRK classes or nothing. whoever rejected it was beaten and punished as the case may be, but if it was a Christian Mission school despite the liberal way of administration, the Muslims will still want to impose their hijab and mosque in the school premises as though they are out of the laws of the school. Very unfortunate really. 1 Like |

Closed Christian schools because Muslims want to practice their religion inside Christian school. It's like an Alpha using New Testament Bible to preach in the mosque or a Pastor using Quran. Make them free missionary schools abeg. Since Government put hand and withdraw the school from churches. Public schools have been in shambles. |

Tranquility4u: How did the government give their schools Christian names? Christians cannot get admission into Christian founded schools because of people who are fighting jihad over what doesn't belong to them. Christian teachers are posted into the bush while Muslims teach in Christian schools. Muslim school in Ilorin don't teach CRS. Christians cannot build chapels in Muslim schools. Awon Omo a'setani! Oni'ja ebi! Cc: AntiChristian See the example of best Muslim behaviour. Aren't they practicing pure Islam? |
Re: Hijab: Kwara Directs Closure Of Schools In Ilorin by BabaIbo: 7:59pm On Feb 19, 2021 |
compton11: That's is a missionary school hijacked by the government. Who established/founded the school? Answering that question rightly will help you to know better. Back to the post, lol what is painful there? The thing is you people should accept what you give to others. Will Islamic schools allow non-Muslims to attend their schools without hijab? I'm done with you, you don't have any meaningful thing to say. Koshi danu joor! Hypocrite! |

Re: Hijab: Kwara Directs Closure Of Schools In Ilorin by HajiaNotu: 8:30pm On Feb 19, 2021 |
Its a school (not a mosque/church) for crying out loud.. Theres a reason why professional teachers have dress code.. There should be a standard uniform for student as well (muslim/xtian). It is a govt school, there shd be no discrimination in admitting any qualified candidate... If you wanna practise your religion while schooling then go for schools where your religious doctrines are allowed... Its so simple really.. |
