Turning wine into water is the greatest miracle of Jesus.

Reasons.

1) it averted an embarrassment at the event
2) it made guy men and women happy after which many men kpekused their wives and girlfriends after getting high
3) it created a supply chain of pure wine
4) it created employment.

1. They don't have money to marry.

2. Most women have raised their standards, so somw men are not finding it easy getting the kind of women they want.

3. Too many women have taken the "highway" so wife material aren't in abundance anymore.

4. Some people have become "woke" and uninterested in marriage since they can simply cohabit, or have baby mamas.

5. Finally, some men are genuinely scared. With all the bad marriage stories louder than the good ones.

The fact that you are young whist watching her movie and you have come of age doesn't suppose to be the sole yardstick to conclude that she is more than that.

However, most of those ladies in the Nollywood industry look older than thier age.

Meanwhile, for some of us that know IRETI in Ajumoni Secondary school Mushin know that, she is not more than 40. Though to some of you who doesn't know her from Adam, she might be 50 or 60 all the same Happy birthday to her.

Lol, it depends on how you see it.
It's all about choices and owning up to whatever choice we decide to make.

We know marriage isn't all kisses and hugs like the blue pilled society would have us think.

I mentioned something sometime around new year day about speaking with some elderly about this marriage thingy.

There was a woman amongst, she couldn't give me any tangible reason why I should get married. She was like no nah it's not good, your dad and your mum did it, you should too grin.

The bluepilled society conditioned us in a way to think it's all or nothing when it comes to marriage but that's total bullshit.

The difference now is that are you willing to engage in this act called marriage just for you and not because society says so cuz if you listen to society you'll likely regret it.
they say marriage is an achievement

Politics2023 Presidency: Tinubu Is A Day Dreamer, By Buhari Olanrewaju Ahmed by potland(op): 9:38am On Oct 26, 2021
Nigeria is a country led by mediocres whose individual interests supersede the public’s, which is why the country has been crowned as the World Capital of Poverty.

With the economic and security situation in the country, it is unfortunate that those who are victims of poverty, insecurity, intimidation and harassment are still clamouring for someone who contributed massively to the failure of the country.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu claims to be a committed democrat, yet he has never fought for or defended democratic values. He ruled Lagos State with a heavy hand for eight years and has no credible achievement to show for it.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a corrupt capitalist who can never be a good leader. His antecedents have proven that although he is very desperate to become Nigeria’s president, he will only compound the present situation and turn Nigeria into economic desert.

A senior sociopath who has never stood for any good cause than to oppress and repress innocent citizens with Lagos agbero’s unionists.

Recall that when the murderous bloodthirsty Fulani herdsmen killed Pa Fasoranti’s daughter in Ondo State, it is on record that Tinubu stood behind the Fulani terrorists to justify the killing as daily occurrence that happens everywhere, every day.

Tinubu who pretends to be a student of Obafemi Awolowo’s ideology, has never contributed anything in comparison with what Awolowo did to the then Western Region of Nigeria.

Obviously, Tinubu is a dangerous politician who is desperate to rule a country that has been milked dry by a cruel dictator he helped to power. It will be a total disaster to make Tinubu Nigeria’s president in 2023 or any other time in Nigeria’s history.

The self-styled democrat who has never called for the review of the 1999 fraudulent document called ‘Nigerian Constitution’ is not an acceptable candidate in the 2023 election or any other one for that matter.

After having wrecked Lagos’ treasury, he now tours Europe and America to seek medical treatment after refusing to build any reasonable hospital in Lagos during the eight years he spent in power. Eight disastrous years!

Perhaps, no one amongst his blind supporters can justify the absence of well-equipped hospitals in Lagos in comparison with the world-class hospitals in London where he enjoys his medical tourism.

If this desperate politician had built world-class hospitals in Lagos, he wouldn’t have to leave Nigeria to another country to get himself treated. Expectedly, he only left behind deathtraps as a legacy for the eight years he spent in office.

Tinubu has never been a genuine leader as he claims, not even in the South-West. For instance, he deliberately impoverished Lagos State and made sure millions of children were out of school to enable him use them as political thugs during elections.

The Agberos system of government in Lagos State will be the type of government Tinubu will operate if given the opportunity to lead the country. It will be a system where hoodlums will be empowered with arms to mob opposition members and critics as they always do during and even after elections.

The last council election in Lagos State showed how cruel and desperate Tinubu is. Nigerians must take note!

Let Nigerians ask Tinubu how many “agberos” he has empowered with free education. How many “agberos” has he empowered to be self-employed? How many medical centres has he built for the poor masses who cannot afford to pay their medical bills in London or even in Nigeria?

How many vocational centres has he built in the South-West for capacity building?

Tinubu who doesn’t believe in one Nigeria wants to rule the country at all costs, a man whose character is questionable in the US over fraudulent activities, is now desperate to become Nigeria’s president.

Nigeria is a failed state because the oppressed people see the likes of Tinubu as a saviour who can take us to the Promised Land.

Meanwhile, this desperate politician seriously contributed to our present predicament and is now seeking direct access to the Nigerian treasury. This should never be allowed!

It is time to settle our differences as oppressed people, our unity is the only weapon that can kick these vagabonds out of power.

A people united can never be defeated!

CREDIT ratings company Data Pro, in conjunction with the Association of Issuing Houses of Nigeria (AIHN), is organising a webinar on post-COVID economic recovery.

This was disclosed in a statement released by the Managing Director of Data Pro Abimbola Adeseyoju on Friday.

The webinar, which aims to highlight the role of credit ratings agencies in resuscitating the economy, is titled ‘Post-Covid Economic Recovery: Credit Rating Imperatives for Issuers & Investors.’

It will be held on Thursday, October 14 between 3.00 PM and 4.30 PM.

According to the company, the webinar would also project new trends and opportunities within the credit ratings industry and showcase novel fintech ratings solutions.

PoliticsPassport Seizure: Odili To Know Fate Oct. 18 by potland(op): 6:03pm On Oct 08, 2021
The Federal High Court, Abuja has fixed Oct. 18 to deliver judgment in the fundamental rights suit filed by former Rivers Governor, Peter Odili against the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) challenging the seizure of his international passport.

Justice Inyang Ekwo fixed the date on Friday after taking arguments from Odili’s counsel, Mr Ifedayo Adedipe (SAN) and Mr Jimoh Adamu who represented the NIS and its comptroller-general.

Adedipe after adopting his processes, prayed the court to order the NIS to release the international passport of his client on the grounds that it was unlawfully seized from him.

According to Adedipe, the respondents have not shown us any court order mandating them to impound the international passport of the applicant.

The senior lawyer prayed the court to discountenance the claim of the NIS that Odili was on the watchlist of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC).

He submitted that adding that up till now, his client had neither been interrogated or any criminal charge instituted against him for any offence.

“The applicant is a senior citizen of Nigeria and is 73 years old, a former deputy governor, a two time governor of Rivers and an accomplished medical doctor as well as a holder of national honors.

“He is not a terrorist but a law abiding citizen and the EFCC is not a body that can instruct immigration to seize a passport in place of a court order.”

Adedipe also urged the court to reject a letter from the EFCC exhibited by immigration to justify the seizure of the passport.

He maintained that the purported letter could not take the place of an order of a law court.

For his part, counsel to NIS, Adamu urged the court to dismiss Odili’s suit on the grounds that the passport was seized because he is on the watch list of the anti-graft agency.

Adamu also asked the court to reject the case on the grounds that the name on the seized international passport did not correspond with the name Peter Odili that instituted the case in court.

Justice Ekwo subsequently adjourned the matter until Oct. 18 for judgment.

The News Agency of Nigeria, (NAN) reports that Odili dragged the NIS to court on the grounds that the service breached his fundamental rights when it seized his international passport.

The NIS, however, told the court that the former governor’s passport was seized because he was placed on the watch list of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, ( EFCC).

In a counter-affidavit filed by its lawyer, Jimoh Adamu, the NIS justified the seizure of Odili’s passport and faulted his claims in the suit.

“The applicant’s passport was seized because he is on the service’s (NIS’) watch list as requested by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC),” Adamu said.

Giving details of how his passport was seized in his supporting affidavit, the former governor said: “In the early hours of Sunday June 20 at about 5 am, I returned to Nigeria from the United Kingdom where I had gone for my medicals, through the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

“My travel documents, including my Nigerian international passport No: B50031305 were checked and given back to me, by the immigration officials.

“However, while waiting for my luggage, an official of the immigration service came over to me and demanded for my international passport aforesaid.

“I demanded to know why he wanted it, and he stated that it was for a routine check, and that same will be given back to me the following day.

“No official explanation, other than the above conversation, was given to me. I gave him the passport, and up till now, same has not been returned to me.

“The seizure of my passport by the respondents has denied me movements in and out of Nigeria, thereby restricting my movement in violation of my constitutional right to freedom of movement.

“I know as a fact that I am a very senior citizen of Nigeria, law-abiding and I have done nothing to have warranted the seizure of my passport by the respondents.”

Odili prayed the court to compel the respondents to release the passport to him and he was seeking a perpetual injunction restraining the respondents from further harassing, embarrassing, intimidating or interfering with his fundamental right to freedom of movement.

The former governor also demanded a written apology from Immigration.

BusinessAirtel Nigeria To Buy ₦61 Billion Shares From Minority Shareholders by potland(op): 9:14pm On Oct 04, 2021
Airtel Networks Limited (Airtel Nigeria) has initiated a process to buyback 8.27 percent minority shareholdings at N55.81 per share, estimated at N61.24 billion.

Buyback is a corporate action in which a company buys back (repurchase) its shares from the existing shareholders — usually at a price higher than the market price.

Ownership consolidation, stock undervaluation or boosting of a company’s key financial ratios are some of the few reasons for such action.

Airtel Nigeria is a subsidiary of Airtel Africa Plc.

In a notice filed on the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) on Monday, Simon O’Hara, company secretary at Airtel Africa Plc, said the total consideration was estimated to be N61.24 billion (using an exchange rate of N413.38) if all minority shareholders decide to tender their shares.

“This represents an open offer to all shareholders. A further announcement will be made in due course,” O’Hara said.

In 2019, Airtel Africa listed 3,758,151,504 ordinary shares on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (now Nigerian Exchange Limited).

The shares were listed at an offering price of N363 per ordinary share.

On Monday, shares of Airtel Africa Plc traded flat at N715 per unit on the NGX.
Meanwhile, Olusegun Ogunsanya has assumed office as the new managing director/chief executive officer, Airtel Africa Plc.

The company had announced his appointment in April 2021.
With more than 25 years of experience in business management experience in banking, consumer goods and telecoms, he will join the board of Africa’s telecoms firm.

“I am looking forward to building on the solid foundations the Group has established for future sustainable growth across Africa,” he said.

“Moving forward, we will invest even more in our network and distribution channels to serve the communities where we operate. By doing this, we will continue to sustainably bridge the digital divide, expand financial inclusion and meet the evolving needs of our customers.”
