How viable would the new states be?

At the last count the following proposed states are in the mill waiting for attention.

They are---from South-East; Aba (Abia), Adada (Enugu), Orashi (Imo), Ugwuaku (Imo, Abia, Anambra), Etiti (Imo, Abia, Anambra), Equity (Abia, Anambra, Enugu, Imo, Ebonyi), Njaba (Imo) and Orimili (Anambra, Imo, Delta). Abia, Imo, and Anambra to be broken up.

North-West: Karaduwa (Katsina), Corara (Kaduna), New Kaduna (Kaduna), Tiga (Kano), Chari and Bayajida (Katsina).

South-West: New Oyo (Oyo), Remo-Ijebu (Ogun), Ijesha (Osun), Oduduwa (Osun), Ijebu (Ogun), Ibadan (Oyo), Yewa (Ogun) Ose (Ondo), Lagoon (Lagos) and Oluwa (Ondo).

South-South: Ahoada (Rivers); Toru Ebe (Delta, Edo, Ondo), Ogoja (Cross River), Urhobo(Delta), Minji Se (Rivers), Ado (Delta), Confluence (Edo, Kogi, Nasarawa), Bori (Rivers), Anioma (Delta), Oil Rivers (Akwa Ibom, Rivers), Warri (Delta) New Delta (Delta) and Ethiope (Delta).

North-West: Karaduwa (Katsina), Corara (Kaduna), New Kaduna (Kaduna), Tiga (Kano), Chari and Bayajida (Katsina).

North-Central: Kainji (Niger, Edu (Niger, Kwara), Okura (Kogi), Borgu and Okun (Ekiti, Ondo, Kwara, Kogi and Apa(Benue).

North-East: Katagun (Bauchi), Amana (Adamawa) and New Borno (Borno).

There are actually 45 requests for the creation of new states on the table of the Committee on the Review of the 1999 Constitution. Six may be granted from what I posted above. We really should be merging states instead of breaking them up, each geopolitical zone should actually become a state IMHO.

The so-called Confluence state would be quite interesting - that would require Edo state to be broken up as well. smiley
Na wa ooo see names like say na soccer team rubbish nation

Deep Sight: If we have Obafemi Awolowo University, Tafawa Balewa University, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Ahmadu Bello University. . . and these are all pre-eminent institutions, then it is CLEAR that the principle of naming an eminent Federal Institution after an eminent national hero is not in question. The only question is therefore the eligibility of MKO for such an honour. For that, I will not argue: history speaks: I will only say that any person who thinks MKO does not deserve such an honour is a person who is not fit to breathe the air of democratic liberty that we today SO ungratefully and hypocritically breathe. PEACE!
P
@deepsight you are suffering from shallowsight and shortsight together ok you that benefited the breathe of democracy let's see it in you
What if I told you that slavery was going on in Africa between African tribes before the whitemen came, european slavery was not carried out in the name of christianity besides in Africa at least, conversion to christianity was not forced on the natives. christian missionaries went about preaching some even lost their lives in the process. actually it was christians like william wilberforce and abraham lincoln as well as a number of other christian missionaries who fought to end slave trade.

What people do in the name of their god doesn't necessarily define their god. every religion should really be judged by it's principles and it's adherrents rather than it's claimants
Well nice one there but why does a religion one knows nothing about was been forced upon we africans telling us our God are fake that their God was the best meaqn while all. Gods are the same

Christianity Etc › Re: How Will Hellfire Burn The Damned, Christians? by poweredcom(m):
yeah its foolishness for us to think that God who created the body and the spirit has no power to create fire that can burn the spirit. Lets not allow foolish reasoning to limit God's power. Using the fire that burns the human body to compare to that of the spirit man is a height of foolishness. For example, the fire that burns a firewood which is ordinary fire cannot melt an iron. Yet there is heat of fire that burns iron. The heat is not the same as that of wood. If human could be creative enough to develop this things is it God the creator that we ll now begin to think that he wont be creative enough create a fire that can torment the soul which is the spirit man? He has said it in the scriptures and its true. Wether anybody believes it or not is immaterial because those who have died without Christ are there now burning. God has given some people the privillege of seeing these things and coming back to life to testify of its reality. Again wether you people want to believe it or not doesnt change anything rather when you die you ll find that its true but too late for you. May God help you.
Hell and heaven are just a concept the white man slavemasters used to enslave us and take africans into slavery it does not exist at all fool your heaven and hell is right here on earrth .look up you gonna see heavenly sky which is not for you humans and when you. Digg the ground you see fossils ok not fire. Ok blackman history have been tarnished and brainwashed mental slavery.even the europeans and western world don't believe in all that because their society have moved from that state. Of tought ok while we africans just sit here confused hoping to be burn in hell and expecting q life after death na lie jare this life is the only life I know live it up be urself
Christianity Etc › Re: What They Don't Tell You About Atheism by poweredcom(m): 4:38pm On May 25, 2012
To me the idea of God is personal and should not be forced on humans for example the whiteman God in form of christianity was used to capture africans and slavery telling our forfathers that our rewards are in heaven, while they were been wiped and taken in ship away.now what type of God is that I wanna know. Religion has and will continue to be the major problem of this world.
