You are totally wrong here. the rule did not say the last man must receive a red in such situation. If you look with an unbiased eyes and mind you will see that the keeper was almost at the ball. That means even if Vidic did not foul the striker he(striker) will not get to the ball before the keeper. And that makes it a yellow. Where Vidic should have received another yellow was the foul against the same guy(if am correct) but then we have seen it many a time where such incident did not attract a yellow. Westham benefited from such decision also. So no biggy.
