Police Flying Squad Unit in Kampala, has arrested an 18-year-old woman, Regina Nakiwu for allegedly faking her own kidnap with intention of defrauding Shs2,000,000 from her father.

Nakiwu and her boyfriend had wanted to get Shs2m by pretence that she had been kidnapped for ransom.

Her boyfriend has been identified as William Ssenyonga.

The two love birds were arrested after Ponsiano Mbaziira, a father to Nakiwu, reported to police.

Ssenyonga told police he called Nakiwu on a Tuesday to come pay him a visit at his home in Kawaala, Kasubi.

He said as they pondered on their next point in life, Nakiwu suggested a plan which Senyonga would use to get money to expand his shoe business.

She suggested to him to call her father claiming he had kidnapped her and demand a two million shillings ransom.

Ssenyonga perceived it as a brilliant idea and made a call to the girlfriend's father and threatened to kill her if the money wasn't delivered.

Mbaziira asked for time to get the money. He reported a case with Flying Squad Unit. .

Police officers then tracked the two love birds were found at Ssenyonga's home in Kawaala while they were having lunch.

Nakiwu told police she was trying to help her boyfriend expand his shoe business so that he could afford enough money to pay bride price.

The suspects are currently detained at CPS Police Station pending arraignment in court of law.

For Obialor, popularly known as James Brown or ‘They didn’t caught me’, getting arrested a few months ago appears to be a blessing in disguise as the dancer shot into the limelight when he was paraded by the police on national television.

Soon after the video clip surfaced online, Brown became an Internet sensation because of the grammatical blunders he made.

According to the young dancer, he was at the venue because he was scheduled to perform at the party that day but unfortunately for him, he was arrested along with some other young men when he was just about to hit the stage to perform.

Recently, celebrity cross-dresser, Bobrisky, made a public declaration on his Instagram page about how he was inspired by Obialor’s video after it went viral.

He wrote, “James, I’m inspired by you, darling, because you came out to tell the world what you were going through. The day I saw your viral video, I was like who is this strong guy. Now, let me tell you, darling, ask me anything; I mean, your heart desire, I’m ready to support you. Let’s start from N100,000 cash first. Please find your way to my house tomorrow please (sic).”

In a telephone conversation with Saturday Beat, the 20-year-old dancer talked about how his meeting with Bobrisky inspired him and how he was arrested and accused wrongly.

“I was happy and inspired when I met Bobrisky. I was about to perform on stage at the birthday party when the police officials came to arrest some guys and girls. I didn’t even know my video would go viral like that. I had to talk back at the policemen because I was being accused wrongly and I had to defend myself.

“They accused me wrongly because I act feminine when I talk and being feminine is not a crime; I have always been like this since I was a child. I was about eight years old when I started dancing; I used to stay with my grandma and she was the only person that was supporting me at that time,” he told Saturday Beat.

Obialor’s video went viral locally and internationally, to the extent that American artiste, 50 Cent, posted the video clip on his Instagram page.

“I was happy when 50 Cent reposted the video because he said something nice about it. This new fame that has found me has opened many doors for me, but the sad thing is that my parents are not in support of what I am doing. I intend to use this avenue to start making income for myself.

“My dad doesn’t believe I can make a living from my fame; I need to convince him by becoming the real celebrity people want me to be,” he said.

Obialor made a shocking revelation when he disclosed his HIV status on the Internet and he further confirmed to Saturday Beat that he had been HIV positive from birth.

“I talked about my HIV status to make my case stronger; a policeman actually discriminated against me because of my status when I had to stay in police custody after the arrest. I told them I needed to take my medication because of my status but they talked down on me and made me feel bad.

“I was 12 when I discovered my status after my dad told me about it. I was born with the virus. After I came out to talk about my status openly, I have received love and support from people,” he said.

A South African man has been arrested for alleged bestiality, after he was caught, naked, by his neighbour, having sex with her cat, TimesLive reports.

The neighbour then reportedly alerted security officials about the incident. He was allegedly caught holding the cat by its hind legs and penetrating it.

The security operatives said that when they entered his house, they found him getting dressed. The SPCA was called to provide care for the cat and the suspect has since been handed over to the police.

“At first I thought he was very handsome. I have always been attracted to older guys. He thought I was cute, and we started flirting at the bar.”

“Amanda and I had been friends for a year before I got with her dad, so I did have a lot of guilt and felt bad at first. But over time I have gotten over that. She knows I will always be there for her in her life and problems,” she said.

The corpse of a new baby has been recovered from a well after it was reportedly dumped there by the mother who is yet to be apprehended.

According to reports, a neighbour raised an alarm after sighting the baby’s corpse floating in the well.Residents gathered at the scene and brought out the body from the well with a bucket as onlookers reportedly broke down in tears. .

The incident happened recently in the northern part of Nigeria, as Facebook user Musa Adamu who shared the report, didn’t give the exact location of the incident.

A junior doctor was beheaded by her boyfriend after she refused to marry him, police say. The boyfriend then tried to take his own life but failed.

26-year-old Shyngys Bekenov, a teacher, proposed to his girlfriend Nazerke Bekzhanova, 21, who had recently graduated from medical university in Kazakhstan. But Nazerke refused to accept the proposal because her parents did not approve of him, it is believed.

Angered by her rejection, Shyngys severed his girlfriend's head as they sat in his car. He then tried but failed to end his own life by stabbing himself in the abdomen after writing a suicide note asking that they should be buried together, according to police. His note claimed he had beheaded the woman after she told him she would marry him, it was reported.

Shyngys Bekenov has been detained in hospital in a "grave but stable" condition with knife wounds. He faces a charge of murder with a minimum sentence of 15 years.

The woman’s beheaded body was found in the car near a dam on the edge of Tasboget village, five miles from Kyzylorda city.

A neighbour of the victim said:

The parents of the young woman were against this marriage. But why did he kill her? We are in shock. We did not expect anything like this.

The victim had just started her first job at a medical centre after graduating from the medical institute in Aktobe.
