A Muslim woman decorated a Pastor’s house with Christmas trees, ahead of the Christian celebration in 2018.

Ramatu Tijjani, who is also said to be a peace ambassador and interfaith professional mediator in Kaduna state, decorated the residence of Pastor Yohanna Buru, the general overseer of Christ Evangelical Church Sabon Tasha ahead of Christmas.

The Muslim woman decorated the Pastor’s house with light, wreaths, stockings and ornaments, and according to her, this was to strengthen peaceful co-existence and a better understanding of different faiths among citizens of Nigeria.

“I observed that the Christmas tree is very vital to the life of every Christian all over the world, and that is why I bought it to decorate the pastor’s house, as a sign of promoting unity, togetherness and to wish all Christians worldwide the best of the season and happy new year in advance, Mrs Tijjani said.

Ramatu who disclosed that Muslims and Christians are children of Adam and Eve who believe in One God and have holy books they believe in, urged people to support each other and live in peace and harmony.

The Pastor who thanked Ramatu Tijani for donating the Christmas trees, new wrappers and food to the Christian needy, said;

“Ramatu is the first woman who used her money to donate many things to churches, widows and orphans.”

A 51-year old man, one Kasali Daramola, has been arrested in Lagos after he fondled a 14-year old girl’s breasts, got her aroused and engaged her in a sex romp inside a viewing centre.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at the centre along Ere-Ego Street in Mushin, Lagos, where they met.

It was gathered that the suspect lured the victim to the centre, got her confused her, touched her breasts until she lost control and engaged her in the romp from behind.
However, while the romp was going on by the corner of the hall, they were caught and handed over to the police for their conduct.
P.M.EXPRESS scooped that the victim told the police that she was lured her into the act after the man touched her breasts and she lost control before he penetrated her without her consent.

The police found Daramola culpable and charged him before Ogba Magistrates court for defilement.
The prosecutor, Inspector Benson Emerhi, informed the court that it was a case of defilement in the public place and would need DPP advice.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. Sule-Amzat, ordered Daramola to be remanded in prison without taking his plea or considering the option of bail.

The court directed the prosecutor to send the file to DPP for advice while adjourning the matter pending the availability of the report of the DPP.
It was gathered the matter may be transferred to the High Court if the DPP finds him culpable on defilement as it was a capital offence.

A man has cried out for help after making a discovery on his strange marriage to his masculine wife, whom he claimed used juju on him, otherwise he wouldn’t have married her.

However, after ‘coming back to his senses, he has stated that he would never have chosen her as a spouse if he was to be in his right frame of mind.

According to him, the spell broke away three days ago and is scared to sleep beside his wife because he claimed the woman is ‘ugly’ and has got a masculine stature.

In a chat with David Bondzie on Facebook, the anonymous guy said

‘I think she put a spell on me because it doesn’t make sense. I came back to my senses three days ago and I have been scared to sleep next to her. I would never have chosen her if I were in my right senses”

Seeking help from David Papa Bondzie Mbir on Facebook, he sent photos of his wife to confirm how horrifying she is, be sure he didn’t marry a man and know why his friends were laughing in their wedding photos.

Confronting his ‘ugly’ wife for a divorce, he was shocked at the reply he got from his wife making him shiver badly in his emancipated bones.

‘My wife claims if I don’t want to be married, I can go. She says she’s already gotten what she wanted from me’, he said.

The Niger State Police Command has arrested one Peter Herald, 41, for allegedly stealing 12 solar inverter batteries belonging to Global Communication Company in Kampanin Bobi village, Mariga Local Government Area of the state.

It was learnt that one Ahmed Ma’aruf of Tegina, Rafi Local Government Area of the state on November 20, 2018, reported to the police that unknown persons had removed the batteries.

Northern City News gathered that the suspect had loaded the batteries in a Toyota Sienna SUV with number plate KRD 564 DC before his arrest.

Herald, who claimed to be an indigene of Aboru community in Lagos State, was said to have connived with one Emmanuel, now at large, to carry out the act.

The suspect said, “We disconnected the batteries belonging to Global Communication Company and sold them at a giveaway price to our clients.

“We don’t even sell at the market price since they were stolen batteries; we sell them cheap to our clients, who will resell to other members of the public.”

Herald blamed economic hardship for his involvement in the crime.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Muhammad Abubakar, said the operatives were still looking for Herald’s accomplice, noting that the matter would be charged to court after investigation.

The Egyptian actress Rania Youssef who sparked an outrage with the revealing dress she wore, could be jailed for up to five years if found guilty even though many said she should be able to wear what she wanted.

Two lawyers Amro Abdelsalam and Samir Sabri, who are known for taking celebrities to court told AFP that the 44-year-old actress’ appearance “did not meet societal values, traditions and morals and therefore undermined the reputation of the festival and the reputation of Egyptian women in particular”.

The lawyers accused her committing an obscene act in public, “inciting debauchery and temptation”, and “spreading vice in ways that violate established norms in Egyptian society.” The pictures of the star, who is known for her role in a number of popular Egyptian TV series, left social media users divided, with some calling her names and other defending her right to wear what she wants.

Egypt is a mostly conservative country with a Muslim majority. The Arab country has retained vestiges of secularism despite decades of growing religious conservatism, but Ms Youssef’s case serves as a reminder that Islamic fundamentalism still pervades society five years after an Islamist president was ousted by the military.
