EventsRe: You Forgot Your Girlfriend's Birthday, Now She's Angry by prettyH(f): 10:06pm On Jan 06, 2006
Lets face facts forgetting a boyfriend /girlfriends birthday is like telling them they are not important to you. If it ever happens to me , breaking up with the guy would only portray me to be very shallow. I'll so make him pay for it that, the following year, he'll have reminders set and going off just to remind him of the date.

If thats a criteria for marriage, alot of guys won't be married today because most wives to be and mother-in-laws do not get along.
PoliticsRe: The State Of Nigerian Prisons And The Legal System by prettyH(f): 8:48pm On Jan 06, 2006
I disagree that ignorance is greater than corruption. In Nigeria, we all know that what works in the Western world doesn't work in ours. The issue of people getting bail or leaving detention after 48 hours doesn't work except in some situations. I remember when my brother was picked up from work a couple of years back, he wasn't even allowed to inform his family that he had been arrested till we started looking for him. We were only fortunate to find him the day after only when one of his colleagues told us where he had been taken. Infact he still was not released that day but the day after when we had bribed and pleaded and all that crap. If not he would have been in detention for much longer

The reason for his arrest was only made known to him much later when one of those bribed unashamedly admitted they were paid by a client to arrest him. So what are we talking about? If this could happen to a CEO of one of the big stockbroking houses, then one can imagine what happens to uneducated people?

Christianity EtcRe: Christians: Can a Non-Christian Go to Heaven? by prettyH(f): 1:56pm On Jan 06, 2006
Obviously u don't get it, if hell is the punishment for sins committed before we came to know Christ Jesus as our Saviour, then we all are going to hell. So what's the essence of accepting Jesus as one's Saviour?
Christianity EtcRe: Christians: Can a Non-Christian Go to Heaven? by prettyH(f): 4:26am On Jan 06, 2006
chrisd:
Hell is not the punishment for failing to accept Christ as Saviour. It is the punishment for sins you committed long before you heard of Christ.
Sorry u got it wrong. Should read......"Hell is not the punishment for sins you committed long before you heard of Christ. It is the punishment for failing to accept Christ as Saviour"......
Christianity EtcRe: I Do Not Believe in God by prettyH(f): 3:23am On Jan 06, 2006
AbbeyMarie,

Don't u think thats too much of a task to bestow on a well grounded atheist who has consistently denied God's existence.

let me tell you one brief story, it's about of my brother's friend. He is a guy with a good look and has money, he has a nice car and he does baff up wella. Can you believe four different ladies in his church came to him and tell him they have a vision that he is their husband, and they've prayed about it. I mean four ladies on different occasions, i now wonder how it is possible for God to create someone that will have four wifes without commiting adultery.
Only four....Hope he's married now cos more women are on their way as long as he's got the dough.

Explaining implies some intellectual effort. I'm affraid PrettyH has placed herself beyond that reality already.
Blessed are the meek, because they shall inherit the earth. Case closed grin
Nferyn ,
Everytime i read ur posts, u make me laugh.

elbaron:
This is all very good. PrettyH, they are not contradictions to you but truths. Fair enough. What we ask is that you share those salient truths with us. Take us out of our ignorance and win some souls for God. Instead of getting upset et al, why don't you try explaining?
I don't get upset, point of correction.

Christianity EtcRe: Biblical Contradictions: What should we believe by prettyH(f): 5:15pm On Dec 23, 2005
Ajisafe:
You got that right, my European brother! The Christians are known for just that! They scavenge through their so-called "word of God" and pick and choose whatever suits them.
nuru:
One should not be afraid of acknowledging facts even if you do not follow it. Truthful Chriatians can see all these contradictions and they never argue that they do not exist.
Oh so u guys think we choose what suits us to believe and hold on to. Anyways i want to tell u we do not. Its either u believe the word of God or u don't . Been a Christian is accepting all or none.

Anyways even if we do as u say Ajisafe what is it to u. Let God be our judge on the day of judgement abi. And for your information the WORD OF GOD IS TRUTH AND LIFE.

@ nuru
which truthful christians admit the contradictions . See u shouldn't be telling us ......we should tell u. And point of correction the contradictions u see, ain't contradictions to us.........they are true.
RomanceRe: Ladies Advice This Guy: To Hold or Not to Hold? by prettyH(f): 5:05pm On Dec 23, 2005
Ralex:
Bros, at first this was my first consideration,
Then i realiased she is quite truthful to a fair % about things i would never have found out if she did not tell me. Things I can easily verify, contains only few very few discrepancies. definately not the act of someone not being faithful.

Definiately this could only be the case with the guy abroad because she spent all her time with me practically moved into my house. I had this guy's number did not even have to steal it because she actually moved her phone book into my phone. Both Nigerian number and foreign number the temptation to call it was too much when i travelled so i had to delete it. I still have is mum's number
Honestly, u r in love with this chick and i hope it won't be at ur lose. U sound confident and very sure of urself. lol ....u seem to forget u r dealing with the female specie. Just cos she's moved into ur crib don't mean nothing cos the babe can leave u at anytime......... Believe me
