shedy03: Hello mamas and papas. Pls I need your inputs on the attached pictures. I wonder what skin infection is this on the face and head of my 2&1/2yrs old. At the hospital, first doc we met said it's just heat rash. Second doctor prescribed some antibiotics injections and calamin lotion. the infection is still there. Kindly share your experience if u had any about the remedy. Thank you. #stayhomestaysafe. Same happened to my 8mnths Baby twice last month with high temperature, 3 different doctors said its heat that has been infected, the first prescribed antibiotics and anti malaria, after one week it came back this time I saw two different doctors they said same thing one of them prescribed antimalaria, calamine lotion to apply on affected area, Vit c, ampiclox as antibiotics ( d other doc prescribed augmentin) because he believed ampiclox was a better option for skin things... After my baby took them it came back again after a week we bought another calamine lotion. I noticed it increased on nights he wore thick clothes to bed, so I wore him light clothes at nights and light singlets during d day because it was on his forehead and all over his back. |

makazona: Hello house, I hope we are doing well at this time.
My 6month old boy is not breathing well. His breathing is as if he is snoring. You could hear the sound of the breathing. This has been happening since he was a week old.
We met the ENT doctors who prescribed some medications like vit c, augmentine, Puritin and em profem. After taking the medications, nothing really changed. The breathing is still same.
I am really worried. Mothers and med practitioners wey sabi, pls help! Mama pls take him to the hospital to see a pediatrician asap. how was d situation surrounding his birth? Did water enter his nose while bathing him as a new born? was he exposed to too much cold as a newborn? |

rvpbae: Lol. The only time my son is calm is when he is sleeping and eating. The boy is always doing something, very busy somebody. So I don't expect a chubby kid and I guess that's why he is always eating as he burns food fast thru play. My son is also always running around playing trying to climb things and am always shouting Miracle leave there! Stop that! Drop it!, we travelled to my inlaws so he's resuming nextwk. |

rvpbae: If food can make someone fat, my son would be fattest. I call him dustbin cos everything goes, he is also 1 year 9months. Note that he wasn't always like that, at a point all he took was pap but I kept trying and giving.
What does he weigh? That should matter more. My son take all manners of fruits and veggies cos I try to be intentional about his meals but he isn't chubby, last I checked he was about 12kg or 13kg. Feed your child to be healthy, not chubby.
Keep trying things. Fried plantain, swallow, potatoes, eggs, avocado, bananas etc. Thanks mama i'll keep trying o. He eats little of everything and eats fruits like banana, apple, orange. I'll check his current weight. I want to deworm his cos of d too much sugary things don't know how to go about it |

[quote author=Lemonadewifey post=81109240]Good evening mothers.
Teamie Lemonadewifey i dont know about using herbal med for new born o other mamas will have idea on that. I wish my breast milk is flowing like urs oo. for the rashes on the forehead my doc prescribed supirocin ointment when ds was barely a week old and it worked. am also using baby tribotan for rash around d peepee area, i guess its too much covering thats giving babies rashes around their body because i use blueseal Vaseline as barrier cream b4 wearing him diaper and i dont joke with his diaper change. As for bathing baby i bath my ds twice daily, on cold nights i dont bath nd i don't use soap on his hair more than once a day. |

Birth story On Thursday 18th July morning i felt water come out of my body waited till afternoon for contraction to follow but felt nothing, went to d hospital was checked 2cm, was told i couldn't go home cos i was leaking water, By Friday morning i was still 2cm and still wasn't feeling any contraction so doc said he was going to induce me so misoclear 25mcg was inserted at 9am, after the second dose at 3pm contraction started the next dose was supposed to be inserted at 9pm but d labour ward was very busy due to many emergency deliveries d doc came to check around 10pm i was 3cm then she told a nurse to fix my drip that was how contraction became serious, thru out d night i was in so much pain that all i was shouting was Jesus help me sometime before daybreak when I was checked i heard d nurse say 7cm with thin or soft cervix, at d next contraction d doc burst my water and when i started feeling pressure to push i called d nurse to come and check, when it was time to push i was already tired due to continuous shouting i pushed severally baby's head was out halfway d nurses were shouting madam push i tried again and baby came out on Saturday 20th July at about 8:28am giving me little tear, d nurse showed me d sex of my baby before he was taken out by another nurse to be cleaned up, d nurse inserted a drug in my anus which helped deliver d placenta then it was time for suturing d nurse injected d area of d tear and started, it got to a point i started feeling d pain of sewing me up i started shouting again oo by the time she was thru my voice have cracked and i was tired. They brought baby back to me and I had joy like a river he is hairy like his brother and they look so much alike. I give all the Glory to God for his tender mercies towards me and my Family through out this pregnancy and for safe delivery. I asked for his help and he showed up for me. Congratulations to all July mamas Safe and easy delivery to all August mamas. Cappo Habbeyoluwa BS submitted Sorry it took this long i typed earlier but it wiped out before i could submit. |
