Family / Re: Females In Nigeria (F.I.N) Facebook Member, Nags Husband To Death by Priceless200(f): 7:03pm On May 16, 2017
Why tag FIN in this post anyway? I don't see the necessity. Or are you saying that she nags because she is a member iff FIN?

People fail to understand purpose and therefore misunderstanding is always very imminent. FIN group on Facebook is not a family training group, it's not a religious group or a moral instructing group, no. It is basically and solely a women's support group. Where women are thought how to show pure love to fellow women, to stand up for each other no matter who or where you are coming from.

dominique:

@bolded
Actually that's what I hate about the group, all they do is support and hail one another even when they are wrong. A woman posted how she insulted her husband's friend, they hailed her. Another postee how she insulted her ex classmate who asked her on whatsapp if she was married, she replied with heaps and heaps of insults bordering on curses and happily took screenshots to post on fin. The finsters were hailing her but some scolded her that she went to far with the insults. The admin quickly turned off responses. Another came to cry out how she was scammed by a fellow finster who went on to delete her (or his) profile, I was one of the lucky few to see the post because the admin took it down shortly after. That was when I started wondering what this group is really about. Now this one has killed her husband with her nagging, I'm sure some of the finsters will be hailing and praising her that she did right. Seems the admin wants to give impression that the group is about squeaky clean ladies holding hands and singing kumbaya. Too much hypocrisy going on there, I just can't deal.

Your post is laced with bitterness, are you among those kicked out of the group? Let me tell you dear, FIN is a support group for women, where women are encouraged to share their stories by themselves and instead of the harsh, victim attitude such women would have received outside the reverse is the case in there. Also It's not by force to be in the group too, if you feel like many others that what is happening there does not conform to your values, you can quietly leave.
Women are not bashed in there, they are showed love and even if you should be corrected it is done with love and care. They don't in anyway encourage women to nag or turn bad in their family (it's not their duty anyway or business how you live your life at home).
I see all of you FinSis

martyns303:
This is going to be long, I hope you endure to the end.

I know what I am about to say will be controversial and not "politically correct", mostly for the feminist and others. I expect a lot of backlash, abuse and calling of names, it is a burden I am willing to take on.

I expect everybody to come here and call this man names, he's an animal, a coward (I agree on this), woman beater and all sort just to be accepted. But I have decided to share a different opinion.

First, people don't just go about attacking other people, not a woman you are married to, not the mother of your children, even mad people don't frequently attack people at random.

The thing is everybody have a breaking point, no matter how much you try to endure and try to be the better person, there comes that point you just can't take it.

Have I hit a woman b4? Yes, twice. It is not something I am proud of, I feel ashamed of myself afterwards. Now I have had my fair share of relationships but one stands out and I pray no man finds himself with a woman like that. This girl's words are venom, she rain abuses at the slightest provocation. If anyone knows me outside NL will know that I am extremely quite, an introvert and avoids confrontation at all cost.

If we agree to meet somewhere and she gets there before, am dead. No matter the reason, she will call me and start abusing me, in fact if you are to hear her, you will call me a fool for staying with that kind of person. But she is not always like that, when she's not angry, she's one of the nicest person ever. Well educated and from a decent home so there's no indication that she will be like that.

The first time I hit her, we went to buy something together at the market. We ended up having a different opinion about an item and that was when she got angry, she started abusing me right there in public. It was as if the ground should open and swallow me, I was so embarrassed I decided to leave and go home. When she got back, she started yelling at me for leaving her behind at the market and the abuses begin. At that point I lost it, already am fuming from the market incident and now this, she has said worst things to me before and I simply walk away but this time I don't know what happened and I slapped her. Of course I apologized and begged and we got back to being normal, I noticed the abuses even stopped for sometime.

Now I don't want to mention what happened the second time, because not even a pope would have been able to handle the situation. At that point I ended the relationship.

Am i going to mention the times she gets angry and begin to damage my properties? Anything she gets her hands on she will destroy it. We all heard about Tonto Dikeh damaging properties worth millions of Churchill's.

The ultimate question is, why didn't I just leave the relationship, answer is, beside her bad moments she's a nice person. Plus I had to endure to keep up the relationship. Now it would be even more difficult for married people.

I am no way encouraging physical abuses by men, but before you crucify the man, have you considered what the man has been through?

No man should raise his hands on a woman, however we shouldn't be quick to throw the men under the bus either. This man is languishing in prison, some of us wouldn't have been able to walk half a mile in his shoes.

May God give us all compatible partners.

Please what is this? Just shut it already please. You mean you hit a woman just cause of mouth? Cause she talks and curses much. Ewooo! And you are justifying it? Like are you her father? Mehn, you should be so ashamed of yourself, like within you, you should be sober anytime you remember such, why start such relationship in the first place, what happens to leaving from the first instance. You should ask; does hitting a such a woman (with leaking/awful mouth as you said) solve the problem.? No! She's a damn adult. You either help her control it, or manage it or better still leave her. Beating only *Highs a man's ego. Nothing more. It does not solve anything and that's why it's only cowards that does that.

The fact your post has such number of likes is scary. It means our society is in trouble, guys are not learning. my God! shocked

On the bolded, it's obvious such lady is quite emotional and needs an extra ounce of love, trust and confidence from her man and all will be well. You saw her as that bad but believe me another man will love her for all her faults, another will manage her weakness, love her strengths and help her improve, which is why you should have left her untouched for such man instead of beating. Just know that THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION for hitting a woman non. To the extent of Inflicting wounds on her. Non
Alwsyd learn to take a walk, partly or fully. It is best.

Health / Re: Please Help: The Best Way To Cope With An SS Patient by Priceless200(f): 9:20am On Apr 16, 2017
WebSurfer:
Please i need help on suggestions on how to cope with my sister who happened to be an SS, shes almost 17 now but this frequent illness and blood shortages have always come up from time to time always leaving us in fear due to the height of pains and sorrows my sister pass through each time.

recently, she got down with malaria again, the doctor always prescribes drugs and all that whenever this happens but recently, she's complaining they are not working.

Please help with suggestions because we are really confused on what to do and cannot become ignorant.

We can't afford to loose such a rare gem and the brightest brain in our family.

Dear poster, sorry for your sister's condition.
But sorry to say, I am a bit confused. You said she's almost 17, that's great. It means you must have been taking care of her and observing some medical and health routine for her all the while. Cause I know how it cannot be possible to reach that age without such care.

Well to answer your question, first, you don't just depend on suggestions gotten on forums such as this wholly, no its risky. It is just like depending wholly on Google results for some medical conditions. Each patients or human being is peculiar you know.

Your sister must have a consultant physician, must. You can't say you don't have money, government hospitals are there, she must have a hospital close-by that is familiar with her case, that knows her special condition etc and must always go for 'check ups' at least once a month or two months even when she is well.

Now from experience(my sister is one too),
1.water is their life, she must always be hydrated, (read up on Google to know the reason behind this)

2 .Covering up, I mean like covering herself during cold, wearing thick clothings even during the day, I believe cold triggers crises.

3. Preventive malaria pills like paludrine must be taken daily

4. Folic acid is also taken daily

5. Pain killers, (not paracetamol o, lol. My sister takes Diclofenac) Always have this at home too. Anytime she starts having pains mostly in the limbs and joints (this is the particular reason she must always take much water, so those sickled cells don't get stucked; read more, wish I can write more) and most times at home, pains always signifies beginning of crises.

6.Please no blood tonic oo, or any drug or medication that contains 'IRON' they already have enough hemoglobin, yo don't wanna increase that and get her more sickle red cells (read up on Google for reasons behind this too)

If she can avoid crises as much as she can, the better, look out for the things that triggers crises, in most cases, Infections, malaria, dehydration and stress. avoid it.

She can eat all that human beings eat, infact let her eat well, it helps a lot.

In our case, most times, if not all the time, she is admitted, she always get blood transfusion. (she is vampire like that, always drinking blood, lol, tongue tongue)

Don't be weary, don't lose hope, she isn't dying, don't be surprised she will even out live most normal people around her. I ve seen 70,80yr Olds pure sicklers.

Sickle cell is not a that evil or that much terminal disease so to say, it is a medical condition, that needs just utmost care and support and yes money, shikina, she can do everything every normal human being does, build a career, marry, raise a family, do everything, just a little caution here and there and she's cool for life. (I used to have a colleague that was one also, she has a very sweet family already, handsome husband, pretty kids, wow)

Now there is a cure, I think Stem cell, and some other drugs. And yes. Prayer. I am really marveled at things my sister could handle, very strong somebody, and it couldn't have been anything but God's grace and might. The kind prayer my mama dey fire for her head all the time pretty much works.

All the best.

It's super hard, as in its not easy to maintain an airline bro, believe me. It's even easier to buy jet for yourself and friends to lift you whenever you need, bearing all cost than running a commercial airline. Imagine what can make a man, alive, to overlook and abandon such assets he acquired with his hard earned money. Not minding anything.

At first glance, this looks like a nice and quiet neighborhood that any family would love to live in.

When you look a bit closer, you’ll see that these houses are not occupied, nor have they ever been.

Ireland has lots of neighborhoods that were built up, but after the housing collapse in 2008, these homes were never sold.

Although no one has ever lived here, it is creepy to walk these empty streets.

Church of the Ghosts, Lukova, Czech Republic.

Located in the northwestern Bohemia town of Luková, the ‘Church of Nine Ghosts’ first fell into disrepair after the ceiling caved in during a funeral service in 1968.

Locals took that as a bad omen, and boarded up the 14th century structure, holding services outside instead.

But many residents saw the church as an important part of the town’s history, and wanted to see it restore.

A local artist placed eerie phantoms in the church to bring attention to the spirit of the church, creating a haunting experience for those who go to visit.
