Das ist interessant! Du bist ein gut Mann. Please, don't relent... It's a good development. I am looking at doing A1/A2 exam at Goethe institute next year without registering for their training. I am already following thread. beebee and princeolu, i may have to ask u guys for preparatory materials and exam format at Goethe. |
Thanks OP for sharing. This will encourage smart youths getting into teaching profession, impact positively on children and earn a living big time. |
John Betar has a few words of advice for newlyweds. "Get along. Compromise. Live within your means and be content," he told ABC, before adding, "And let your wife be the boss.Wonderful advice and secret of happy home, if and only if you didn't end up with a desperate wife. |
Interesting! Nigerians always looking for miracles irrespective of source. |
Hmmm! someone is committing bestiality in that community. |
A player can't remain on top forever. I think this will gradually bring a decline in his magical performance. |
sultaan: I posted my original reply last night it thinking straight still right but I think I have the solution be a use I had similar problem once.Good job Sultaan . Well done bro! Please, I have an automatic VR6 VW Sharan, the Mechanics around seem to do guess work and unfortunately, I'm having the auto gearbox changed with no success. I really want to have my own Scanner... which one do you recommend for VW Sharan 1996 model? I have heard of VAGCOM but don't know how to get it. |
You are absolutely correct. The failed state of education in Nigeria is largely due to unqualified and corrupt lecturers who become PhD holders or professors simply for financial/political gains without ever doing any research. It's total joke when you go to Engineering faculty. No nation develops without R&D. We need a re-orientation of the students and provision of quality education with sound theoretical and practical approach by non-government not-for-profit organizations supported by notable corporations. This will gradually restore standards as the students are aware of what they should know and there wouldn't be a hidding place for lecturers that are incapable. I am working on a project to see how I can in my own little way, contribute to developing young minds in mathematics and embedded systems free-of-charge. I pray our politicians realize the dangers in failed education system to a nation and sincerely tackle it. God help us. |
kelly4top: Are you planning to bring ur wife too like me?Yes o! I even want her to apply for master and possibly leave next year ahead of me. Thereafter, we figure how our children will join her later. I didn't know u were married. Nice to know we have got some married men onboard. Keep the dream. |
justwise: I have a very good understanding of what i'm talking about, you have the same slave mentality because you preferred your slave masters quality of education to that of Nigeria, there are many people who studied in Nigeria from primary to Phd and still do very well, you did not see a single university in Nigeria to study in as somebody who love Nigeria so much and will never travel outside for slavery. you invested millions to get educated from your slave masters but you are here calling people who preferred living outside Nigeria all sorts of names, aren't you a 2faced hypocrite? Please, save your energy for useful work instead of wasting it on a deluded brat. I noticed nagoma needs immediate access to a mental facility after his reply to my post. So, ignore him like i did. |
nagoma: The slave trade ended too soon for some. Those destined to be slaves insist on fulfilling their destiny. They want to migrate to be modern day slaves. I would better be a full citizen in my underdeveloped ancestral land than a marginalized second class modern slave in a developed country. Keep on trying wannabe slaves- it is your destiny.Really? So the Chinese and Europeans who leave their countries to stay in Nigeria, Kenya etc are also slaves? Some great Nigerians who are known globally because they migrated from Nigeria are slaves? The problem i see here is You- Inferiority complex has eaten deep inside you and probably you are incompetent and can't survive without bribery and Nepotism. Therefore you have no place in developed society except slavery. FYI, I'm a professional fully in Nigeria with my family but won't hesitate to go for update courses abroad when the opportunity beckons. |
@Dannie, I just checked, there could be free tuition MPH programs in Germany eg LMU but they are likely 100% German taught courses and that's d tradeoff. You must pay once it's done in English or mixed. Anything is possible., do deep search, there could just be an English taught MPH with little or no tuition fee.... Don't hessitate to let us know if u find such. Good luck! |
DANNIE-more:Firstly, you won't find any public health Program that's free in Germany except u get scholarship or grant. UK is strict but things must also be done in Germany according to stipulated laws. It comes down to ur arrangement with d school.. Do u know German language is a requirement for d course in Hamburg? I see ur heart is in Germany. Then go for it. My only concern is that u should never think that doing menial jobs in Germany will pay such fees per semester. Hussle some more cash here in naija from family & friends. Just get ur calculation right to avoid frustration over there. |
@Dannie, have u considered Msc Biotechnology, bioinformatics, and allied courses that are tuition free yet close to if not better than Public health in global relevance. IMHO, I rather spend that on MBA. It all depends on ur ultimate choice and game plan. |
DANNIE-more:Ok. Mine is MBBS(Med & Surg). I also have engineering background. I considered MPH but since it's professional master, u pay high tuition, I discarded the idea. I'm currently looking at Msc Biomedical Engineering cos of visa and may eventually switch to EE. My advice to you: If u ve d money, MPH in Uk may be better for u . You pay close to 2million naira for tuition at the end in Germany and u need B1 if not B2 to enjoy ur study to d fullest and possibly work there. If u can afford all these, Germany is good, else consider UK as far as Public health is concerned. Sponsorship letter is honoured provided appropriate conditions are met. In that case u wouldn't need any blocked account. I'm not an expert though. Let d ogas give there advice. Thank u. |
@Dannie, Please, don't be offended, what course did u do in your first degree? I'm just curious because my first degree is in health. |
Congratulations! Princeolu, Wonderbob for the great news. Wishing u successful sojourn in deutchland. Thank you Kelly4top, futurewise & co for the info on food in Germany. My wifey will be excited to know that there is something like garri in germo... She doesn't joke with swallow for me, I don't joke with chicken and red wine. It all means that living in Germany may be a win-win situation for us. I follow this thread closely. Everyday, I see reason to relocate from naija. God help us. |
careytommy: i can understand for syrians but what does a south korean need a naija passport for? It's a big deal for Asians. Nigeria is a big market for their companies. Don't underestimate the economic benefit of being a Nigerian citizen for those business-minded individuals. |
Cyberknight: Well said, Mr. Babs. Now, having pointed out the bad practices of the unlicensed so-called agents, perhaps you could state what best practice should be (as practiced by you). I'm currently in the process of looking for a new flat to rent in Lagos; I've rented twice before and gone through the whole dreary agent nonsense and in the end I got my current flat through one of the professional agencies.Good analysis. There are few good very professional individuals despite the bunch of hungry doggs littered everywhere. BTW, I won't mind to have contact of the professional that got you a place cos I'm in need of a 3bedrm flat. |
Inspiring! |
aroyem4u: I'm doing my Masters in Microbiology at the Universitat JenaThank you for the information. Keep updating us from time to time when convenient to you. God bless you. |
aroyem4u: Wow. Germans are really good people. U only need to have a good mind and they will open up to u. If u wanna do sciences for your masters, please come to germany. U will be made to feel like a scientist. I have been with a group of germans all day and they are very nice to me. We went visiting our church pastor in a town close to where I study and they will be dropping me in my house later in the night. Its a good country. Very accomodating people unlike what I heard about them before coming. If u get moni u go enjoy germany. And once again don't forget to apply to the studentenwerk in any school u apply for admission for accomodation. Winter is coming. For those of us that just came hope u got ur winter boots and jacket!!!Good to hear. You are tempting me o! Science na my life... Wanted EE but due to my first degree, I'm considering biomedical engineering or bioinformatik. what's the course you went for? and which city in Germany? I like the hospitality. |
franklysco: Lol...... U know lie sha. They don even toast me 4 lag b4.Bros, If na so, watch ur back o! I no trust anybody o wen e come to gay matter! even Pastors o! Some na even bisexualz and u no go know easily. Advice: Wear jeans shot while sleeping and treat him as gay until proven otherwise. |
@Tope Ok. I see why. Not a bad idea at all. |
topeajis: University of Marburg i like the School will Apply for Summer into the School for Msc in Economics selfTope, do you want to run two masters or change program? why do u prefer economics to international business administration (MIBA)? I still dey reason my moves but my conclusion na to enter with a related masters then change to a course or program of my interest. |
akp2013: Arrived Munich yesterday... I was a little bit withdrawn because i didnt have a place to pass the night...& not even a close contact in Munich to offer assistance...The Octoberfest is for real & the place is bubbling... After making inquiries from my school, i was advised to book for one night accommodation at the 'The4you Hotel and Hostel' - where i shared a room with 11 others (both males and females) for the night... Well, all i can say is that Munich is a friendly place... Before coming to Munich, try to get a smart phone and download the map of Bavaria...this has been quite helpful and I have noticed that most people dont really know their way around... so they are pinned down to thThat's cool to hear! wishing all the best in Germany. Stay focused and be an inspiration to those in Nigeria planning to take similar step. |
emeka55: Ur age won't be a problem especially when u have achieved something in those past years. It would have been a problem if u didn't have a degree already. Thanks Emeka for that insight. I think the issue is for me to explore all possible options. It has become obvious to me that getting the student visa is the greatest challenge. I was even thinking that admission would be the rate limiting step. Anyway, let me focus on admit first. To avoid doubt, is it possible for me to gain admissions into Msc biotech or something related to medicine and also bsc engineering, then apply for visa with d Msc acceptance only but with d intention of studying bsc engineering on arrival? Just looking for ways to better my chance. what are the pitfalls. Thank u. |
@t-med very useful replies for those 3 questions. God bless u. @ Godson Godson201333: Why so you want to shift.I want to shift because my career( or biz) in electronics at this point requires my accessibility to modern tools, research minded people and factories to aid my completion of some innovative designs. secondly, I want my children to get early international exposure. By God's grace, I am almost certain that I can easily start a tech company in Deutschland after few years of stay targeting African markets. |
I am very Pleased with what you guys pointed out in my case. still expecting more considering my replies above. |
Godson201333: In your case it might not be easy to get the visa .Thank u Godson. I don't want to travel with my family together. I was asking for Possibilities of their joining me there after 2years of my stay. Or do u mean stating that I am married automatically disqualifies me from a student visa? |
t-med:Thanks t-med for d reply. I have very solid and valid evidence: I own a ltd. company specializes in research and development in EECE. I have designed and implemented useful Projects even for federal institutions. I ve an online certificate with MIT in EECE with distinction. My primary source of income is from electronics engineering and I have documented relationship with some companies in Hong Kong and China regards procurement. I have pictures, circuits, simulation files and source code for most of my projects archived. Without exaggeration, some clients think I have PhD in EE. Embedded Systems and Power electronics is my domain. Now, while bother with a formal degree? I realise a formal qualification in d field in Germany (not naija) will broaden my scope to handle more advanced projects and also interact authoritatively with global experts. tmed, what do u think? I will be expecting answers to the 3 questions raised for admission. Thank you, wonderful community. |
I have followed this thread after the strong desire to get a foreign postgraduate degree. Let me quickly acknowledge the good work of Tope, Godson & co. Danke! I am a Medical doctor but with lots of exposure in electronics engineering. I wanted to apply for MSc in Energy & Process engineering with my MBBS degree and evidence of my company's work as (R& ) scientist BUT now, since BSc is only 3yrs or 3.5yrs with intense training, I have decided to go for BSc. My Questions: 1. would age be a barrier? I'm 33. 2. since it is BSc, will my transcript from Med sch be an advantage? remember i am going for engineering program. 3. I am married with 2 children. can I request my family to come over to Germany say after 2years of stay with student visa and good financial capability?. I am targeting 2014/15 winter semester. Thanks. |
for me, I don't joke with chicken and red wine. It all means that living in Germany may be a win-win situation for us.
