Clone2020: When the government tells you not to panic, that's exactly when you start panicking. 'Lol OPEC is irrelevant, this cartel doesn't have the power or influence it used to have. Since 2011, U.S stopped buying Nigerian Oil. Today, oil prices are falling and it will get worse. In the past, OPEC was able to set the price in the market, whenever they had meetings everyone waited patiently for their decisions. Lol but can you believe OPEC had a meeting 2 days ago and nobody cared, the financial sectors weren't even affected. U.S is producing shale oil at an alarming rate and its only going to get higher once the Keystone Project is passed by congress. I honestly feel bad for Nigeria, our currency just got devalued due to the low oil price and its only going to get worse. This generation's youth need to write letters to all their government officials, organize protests and campaign against politicians who are so myopic not to see the incoming doom looming over Nigeria. Vote for public officials who want the economy to focus on agriculture, improvement in the nation's electricity infrastructure and establishments of industrial plants if we are to remain relevant in the next 25years.' On track, No alternative. |

@beebee, you're right. Hard work with discipline is needed to learn anything new. Duolingo really helped me, but I stopped practicing due to distraction and other engagements.
I thought I would've relocated to Lagos by now. I've to resume learning on my own. If those in America learn German in school, It must be worth it.
Make I do focus on getting admission @ Germany. |

beebee5000: Studying medicine here in Germany is not easy, your German skills need to be at least C1 and must have a minimum of 1.3 in your Abitur. For foreign students you have to pass through Studienkolleg. And Studienkolleg is another topic for another day. You cant study medicine in English. I also noticed that working in hospitals, labs, or areas with hazardous substances/ tools require good German atleast B2. Sometimes I wonder if I can ever be fluent in German and how long it'll take. I know a lady who didn't understand a word in German on arrival in Germany, learnt d language, did her masters in Medical Physics in German. Amazingly, her written and spoken German is top class. She's now married to a native. beebee, the way u split German even b4 traveling to Germany is a morale booster for Nigerians to learn d language. But e bi like say age is telling on me. lol |

Eke40seven: Your statements are not absolutely clear, but if I get you right, you are looking for an MSc course in mass communication and other related courses which your Bsc degree in Mass communication will qualify you to take up. Well, if that clarification is in the affirmative then I advise you to use DAAD, there are definitely courses you will find. While you are at it, check, university of Ilmenau, they offer an English taught masters programme in mass communication. However, the state of the town/city economically to find a job while studying is something I can't really vouch for (its a small university town in Thuringia) However, generally, Germany is good for student works and your chances of getting job after graduation is strongly tied to your ability to speak German and what you came out with. You should above all things, endeavor to read the thread, you will find answers to interesting questions and more Hope you find it useful. Good luck

Eke40seven: The case may not even get to the embassy in the first place because it will be harder for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for them to accept an HND degree for an MSC course. As far as I know, its Bsc for MSC..and HND for Bsc but you can however enquire from the school is you can start from a higher class instead of starting afresh. Hope others can add their comments God bless you! Thank you for the tips. It means Postgraduate Diploma , PGD, is irrelevant. Mehn, this polytechnic degree na wa. |

Since the person is not her husband, mother, father, child and so cannot apply for family reunion, (which even has its own challenge) the best option in my opinion for her to stay LEGALLY on a LONG TERM basis in Germany is through student visa..That will also open doors for you in the future. Let the person rather get her an obligation letter of sponsorship and let her start applying for schools right away.
My two cowries! You are right. The student route seems to be the straightforward track. I'll tell her to dust her credentials. |

This is serious. Correction ought to be effected by NOUN before final grade. |

We need to complain to the appropriate quarters. It's disheartening to make a C where u deserved A. I'm not in Lagos, I would've complained directly to d headquarters. My centre director response was "atleast you passed". NOUN / Cyberspace should engage world- class programmers with experience in AI to handle d scoring algorithm. @Obynoscopy & Co, how do we send strong signal to the appropriate authorities in NOUN. Email? or hardcopy of letter couriered to d appropriate office? Obinoscopy: I think the problem is from the computer program that was created to mark the subjective questions. Imagine, if you typed "Northedge Andrew" as the Author of GST107, you will fail it because the answer is "Andrew Northedge". I also learnt the answers are case sensitive, thus "eLearning" is different from "elearning" which is different from "e-Learning". There were even occasions where one would fail the practice questions in iLearn even if he or she typed the right answer as the computer. I typed "abstract" in one of the iLearn questuons and the computer failed it and still stupidly said that the answer is "abstract" . I think it's high time we complained about this. I think the program that marks the subjective questions should be modified. If their computer experts can improve the program, then let the facilitators be the ones to mark or review the subjective answers provided by students. donplus1: same here in Osogbo SC.not only GST107 BT some courses as well.. Imagine wen u can't score 60/120 in an exam dat comprises tma only. We need 2 do sumfin b4 tins gt worse.money not Paper o |

jboixxx: 35 questions? OK (40/100 * 35) + 28 = 42% (E) wrong arithmetic bro! 40 means 40/70 or 20/35. so it'll be: 40 + 28 = 68 (B) . From my experience, they don't adjust scores. |

GoldenPenny: I'm a jambite who wants to choose UNIBEN.but the problem here is that I'm confused about what course to choose between Anatomy,PHYSIOLOGY,and Medical biochem Please guys, i really need ur advice on these three courses. 1.which do u think is best among the three 2.what do they do 3.their job opportunity Xfire and co have advised you very well. If you are comfortable with chemistry : Chemical pathways, compounds, elements, reactions and some calculation, choose Medical Biochemistry. It has better prospect and wider scope of practice especially in Bio-Products/ biotechnology industries. Like the other two, you can work in research institution / Academia.. A good number of doctors are doing MSc in Anatomy and Physiology, making it even difficult for graduates of Anatomy and Physiology. Whichever one you eventually settle for, a PhD will make you relevant. |
