Hmm... I do understand your point and feeling. But we cannot judge God and contrain Him to our time. God dwells in eternity. We dwell in time. He can step in at anytime of ours to do His will. We all, all creation, everything exist for Him. He decides when and how He wants to do His thing. If we try to follow Him with our sense and time, we will surely be discouraged. Look at Abraham having to wait 25 years for a promise of God. That's too long for a man to wait! But the promise of God came to pass. So also is the work God will do in Nigeria. Remember it's about His kingdom, so it will surely come to pass even if it's another 20 years.

I'm sure some Ghanaians didn't believe they'll be where they are today as at the time they were in Nigeria, but now Nigerians are the ones going there. Who would have believed that Rwanda will become a choice destination in Africa after the genocide? But today, they have the cleanest city, thriving economy and a prospering populace. My friend believe me, Nigeria will shine again. But a purge will come first, the Nebuchadnezzars, fake men of God, Herods and Pharaohs tormenting our land have their days numbered. On a serious note, whatever may happen, especially for those who have decided not to believe God now (atheists), should you be alive when all these things come into full force, never you accept that mark, if you do, you will never again be saved. No amount of repenting in that case will work. When the true character of Satan is revealed and he can no longer hide then will many understand just how much the Lord loves them. But that delay will come with price. Delay is dangerous!. Nevertheless, don't give up. Eternity is too long to spend it in the fire. And the fire is too hot to endure it endlessly. Choose wisely.

If a manufacturer gives a condition of how to operate a product and you disobey it, do you blame him for the consequences?.

One thing is sure, you have had the gospel, but you choose what to believe, you have no excuse. The truth you are pridefully refusing to accept and confess now, you will tell it voluntarily before God on that day. Because a day will come when every single soul ever created will stand before God face to face to account for everything he/she has ever done or said.

Also, tithing is not a command of man, but of God. That we have false prophets, pastors and 'men of God', does not make that command foolish.

On a serious note, I will rather pay my tithe with a clear conscience, rather than not pay because majority do not. If it turns out in the end not to be true, I loose nothing, because I did it in faith! Besides, it's my money. So who cares?. Eternity is too serious a business to leave it to chances. Disobedience to God under any guise without repentance will surely bring about punishment!

Tithing is a command of God. Regardless of what anybody says. It is still your choice to pay it or not, just like it is your choice to obey God or not in any other thing. But you should equally be ready to face the consequences of whatever your choices are.

It's easy for the enemy to appeal to the sensibility of man, and exploit his pride and arrogance when it comes to obeying God's word.

God has given you a command to obey, do you abandon it because some men (pastors) are doing something wrong with the tithes? Well, that's exactly what the devil wants!

For those basing their argument and taking their points against tithing from the scriptures, I'll like to remind you that every deception of the devil was taken from the manipulation of God's word, right from the garden of Eden till now!. So, that somebody said so and so, and it's in the bible does not necessarily mean it's so.

Let me ask you, do you think that God will keep quiet all these years about tithing, and allow His children to be so decieved, only to wake up now because some pastors are misbehaving? More like saying God is happy seeing His children deceived or He has suddenly changed His mind about the matter.

If disobedience of lies, fornication, adultery, stealing etc can lead someone to hell, so will disobedience to tithing lead someone to hell. The truth doesn't have to be popular and suit your taste and desire. It is simply the truth.

It is not just about what suits you, it's about what God wants. Hmm... I don't think you understand my post very well. God made hell quit alright but never for man, but for the devil and his co fallen angels. But these guys have vowed never to go there alone. They must try to get even with God no matter how small. Since they can't fight God, they opted to deal wickedly with what He loves most, which is man. Tell me, do you think is a small thing for the creator to die for His creation?

That's unthinkable! But He did it! because of how much He loves man and the devil knows this. Immediately we sin, the devil goes to God and accuse that fellow before God demanding that justice be meted out to that fellow or people just as it was done to him and his colleagues and a just God does not play double standard, so He let it go, then the devil whose desire all along is to destroy man, will use that opportunity to reak havoc as much as He wants. The whole thing is like a boxing game. If we humans do not ask God to come in into our lives and we in turn stop willful sins, He God will not step in until the time of judgement at which He will step in and no body can accuse Him because that is His word. God NEVER violate His word or law. You can hold Him at His word.

For instance, God said no premarital sex and no sleeping around with someone who isn't your spouse. The devil is aware of that order. Then he tempts you to disobey it. As long as you don't disobey it, he has no power or right whatsoever over you regarding that. But once you mess up he will first bring up the matter before God and invoke relevant scriptures that gives him right over you and that's it. Do you know how many people are in bondage because of that sin, do you know how many destinies have been destroyed because of it? Because it's the easiest way the devil destroys men's destinies. But when we see the consequences, we blame God, but He did warn us at first. How much blood of innocent babies have been poured out to the ground in the name of abortion? Do you even know that blood itself have a voice, and cries for justice? Do you know the earth you're matching on has power to war against man especially when innocent blood has been shed? Who do we blame then is it God or the devil or us?

Once again, I tell you, you're not more pained than Father God is himself. You're not more troubled than Jesus is himself. That's why the Lord will constantly stress on us preaching to people telling them about His love, His ways and laws and the consequences we attract by not obeying them.

My dear, except you have an encounter with God and understand His character, you will keep thinking He doesn't care. You have no idea how much pain and anguish the Lord has to endure daily watching people fall into hell. Then, if He says let me end it all here now, how many people do you think will be saved? I don't think you have an idea how few there be. Should God wipe out the Boko Haram and Fulani Herdsmen and corrupt politicians etc and spear the petty liar? Or the petty thief whose acts does not so much affect you? That's human standard. If God must carry out a purge it will affect everything sinful. Think about that. It’s hard to accept the life we live, as it is. We’ve always been told to have a positive attitude to life. I listen to several of motivational audios and I nod my head gearing myself up in those uplifting words which charge my mind for some few moments.
Later on, the jumping clouds of happy moments vanishes and I am left with my reality. Fear, anguish and sullenness then beam on me.
I’m not objecting the values of these contents or being optimistic generally but it is a fact that when you are REAL with yourself and the life around you, you will keep your mind STRAIGHT and be FOCUSED on working towards a better life than building castles in the air.
Realism is not the same as Pessimism or Atheiesim And realism is best to be adopted in all life situations.
From the minute you open your eyes in the morning. For example, you are looking for a Job and believe this Monday will be better than yesterday just because a motivational book told you so. Rather face the day with what you’ve got.
The real thing is; You are conscious of your situation, you identify your mistakes and tend to build yourself everyday which makes the [today-you] better than your yesterday-you and you set out with a focused mind, not a blurry hopeful mind. You might eventually achieve what you set out to do.
At all times, we should do all that we can do and leave the ones we can’t do.
Nevertheless, I won’t ever want to be a Pessimist or an Atheiest. As I see better side to things (optimism), I want to also be Real and Happy....
