Burna Boy has been dragged by Nigerians on Twitter, following his Instagram post in which he called Nigerians ‘backward unprogressive fools’.

We reported that the singer in his post said that Nigeria is home to the largest number of backward unprogressive fools, because most Nigerians are not mentally advanced to fight for themselves.

Though he promised to fight for such people, he went on to thank some African intellectuals who according to him, never conform to any bullshit they are given.

However Nigerians who reacted to this, dragged the singer who according to them is allowing his ‘hype last year get into his head’. Here are some tweets below;

PRESS RELEASE BY PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI CAMPAIGN ORGANISATION:

WHEN THE THIEF IS SHOUTING “THIEF”:
THE CASE OF ALHAJI ATIKU ABUBAKAR

A few days ago, the Presidential Candidate of the PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, called out President Muhammadu Buhari over certain allegations of “corrupt practices” which the President allegedly condones in his government. Whilst we have repeatedly addressed each and every of the instances cited by him to show the transparent nature of the government, it is shocking that the Presidential candidate of the main opposition has refused to issue a personal statement up till this minute clarifying in details his record of crass corruption and abuse of office. He is clearly taking Nigerians for a ride and hopes to distort the ethical revolution in public office that Nigerians clearly desire to his own philosophy of abusing public office to promote private interests. By his subliminal messages, he wants Nigerians to accept that becoming wealthy by abusing public office is not a bad thing after all.

With the avalanche of fake and unsubstantiated news released in the last few days, it is now clear that PDP’s strategy in the run up to the elections is to spread fake news and make wild allegations without any proof against the President and the Vice President. This is clearly to divert attention from the record of crass corruption and abuse of office of their own candidate. Nigerians cannot and should not be insulted by the PDP after 16 years of looting of the nation, by now putting forward a man whose record of corruption they very much acknowledge, but would rather we all overlook it.

Some of the indisputable facts regarding Alhaji Atiku Abubakar are as follows:

1. The U.S Congress in a report titled, KEEPING FOREIGN CORRUPTION OUT OF THE UNITED STATES: FOUR CASE HISTORIES, featured Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as one of the four notorious cases of money laundering in the world!

2. The Congress report said “Jennifer Douglas Abubakar, a U.S. citizen, is the fourth wife of Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President of Nigeria and a former candidate for the Presidency of Nigeria...... from 2000 to 2008, Ms. Douglas helped her husband bring over $40 million in suspect funds into the United States, including at least $1.7 million in bribe payments from Siemens AG, a German corporation, and over $38 million from little known offshore corporations, primarily LetsGo Ltd. Inc., Guernsey Trust Company Nigeria Ltd., and Sima Holding Ltd”.

3. Atiku’s co-conspirators, Williams Jefferson and Siemens in the bribery deal were convicted and Jefferson went to jail. By running for President of Nigeria, Atiku intends to get some immunity from prosecution. Already he is hoping to obtain a visa to visit the US, as a guest of the State department, a concession that the US will grant to a Presidential candidate of Africa’s biggest Nation.

4. Both the BBC and Voice of America reported that “In a probe ordered by Mr. Obasanjo, (then Nigerian President) the vice-president was accused of diverting $125m from a public development trust fund into his personal businesses.”; Please see 1016 BBC, Profile: Atiku Abubakar, January 25, 2007, http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/ 6292141.stm (Voice of America, “Nigerian Vice President Charged with Corruption,” October 10, 2006, http:// www1.voanews.com/english/news/a-).

5. A Senate subcommittee investigating the PTDF indicted Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, having found that he abused his office by aiding and abetting the diversion of public funds in the sum of $145 million” as loans to his friends. This report was a subject of a full-blown investigation by the EFCC which actually recommended his prosecution in a court of law. That report is still pending and alive till today.

How do we as a Nation end up with anyone with this sordid record locally and internationally? We have heard the lame defence that the U.S Justice Department said it has no pending case against Atiku Abubakar. That is only a defence for the ignorant ones. In the United States, there are indictments the Justice Department can confirm to the world. But there is another category of indictments known as SEALED INDICTMENTS that the Justice Department cannot confirm to anyone. These indictments are sealed under the orders of a Judge. Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has a sealed indictment waiting for him in the U.S. The day he visits the U.S, not as a candidate in an election, he will face charges.
There is no question that the reasons for Atiku’s frequent contests for the Presidency are to steal the resources of Nigeria for self-enrichment and to prevent prosecution for his crimes of laundering and receiving bribes. No amount of fake news or ridiculous false allegations against the President or Vice President that can wash away the well-documented history of theft.
We also challenge the PDP to publish a single line in the sub-committee recommendation of the House of Reps on the NEMA Emergency purchases where the report accused the Vice President of embezzlement of funds. They either do this within 24 hours or keep quiet forever. It is even noteworthy that the House of Representatives have not adopted any such recommendation to make it a report of the House.
We also challenge them to show any proof whatsoever of their allegations regarding the TraderMoni.
After three days of publicly announcing that they have hard proof that the President’s relations bought shares in Etisalat and Keystone Bank, the PDP has not produced a single piece of paper, a document of any sort to buttress the grave allegations it made. This is how shameless and callous the Atiku team has become, all in a desperate bid to get their hands on the public purse.
Lastly, we challenge Alhaji Atiku Abubakar for the umpteen time to produce his tax receipts for 2015, 2016 and 2017. It is shocking that a man who has not been paying his Personal Income Taxes now says he wants to “get Nigerians working again” - whatever that means. He is only deceiving himself and not the intelligent Nigerians that we know.
Thank you.

i love this piece. Nigerian are so gullible to fake news and some cant even use the internet to find out the truth. This is precise and well documented. Atiku should bring out proof of all he alleges while there is enough proof on him already for being a thief. Even the Etisalat and Keystone saga has rebounded.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Has History Of Bringing Looted Funds To Nigeria – Atiku by PrinceBBlack(m): 6:20am On Dec 31, 2018
abdulazeez1002:
ABUJA – Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has said President Muhammadu Buhari knows a thing or two about bringing looted funds into the country.

The former President stated this while reacting to an earlier statement credited to Buhari Support Groups, BSG, accusing him of plotting to ferry looted funds into the country ahead of the 2019 elections.

Atiku who reacted in a statement issued by his media
adviser, Paul Ibe, tasked President Buhari and his
supporters to take a trip down memory lane before making allegations they could not substantiate.

The statement read in part: “Our attention has been drawn to a statement by President Muhammadu Buhari accusing the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic part PDP, Atiku Abubakar of planning to smuggle in looted funds into the country just before the February 2019 elections.

“This new accusation, like their previous allegations, is
another infantile outburst that tells more about the accuser than Atiku Abubakar.
“For the avoidance of doubt, history shows that rather than smuggle in looted cash, Waziri Atiku Abubakar has a record of preventing looted funds from being smuggled into Nigeria.

“In 1984, it was Atiku Abubakar, as head of the Murtala
Mohammed International Airport Command of the Nigerian Customs and Excise Department, that stopped the ADC of the then Military Head of State, Muhammadu Buhari, from smuggling in 53 suitcases of looted money into the country.

“Young Nigerians and Millennials who may not be aware of this incident, will do well to Google it. Only the guilty are afraid. It is President Muhammadu Buhari who has a history of smuggling in looted funds and not Waziri Atiku Abubakar.”

Atiku further backed up his position with a claim that a
prominent APC governor said the same thing of the
President eight years ago.

“In fact, Nasir El-Rufai (Kaduna state governor), a favourite of the President and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, said as follows on October 4, 2010:

“In 1984, Buhari allowed 53 suitcases belonging to his
ADC’s father to enter Nigeria unchecked at a time the
country was exchanging old currency for new.”
The statement added that “only recently, Mr.
Abubakar’s plane was searched, his accounts have been perused and his businesses have been thoroughly investigated with a fine tooth and nothing remotely corrupt or illegal has been found.

“In desperation, the Buhari administration released this
statement to cover their shame on a day that the US based International Strategic Studies Association reported that it is the unprecedented corruption around President Buhari that has led to the recent setbacks in the war on terrorism in the Northeast and the heavy loss of lives amongst the military rank and file. May God save Nigeria from a government that values money over lives.

“We therefore urge Nigerians to note that it is Muhammadu Buhari who has a history and a record of smuggling in looted funds and it is Waziri Atiku Abubakar who has a history of preventing such from happening.

“And while they are at it, we urge them to tell Nigerians
those behind Etisalat, now 9Mobile and Keystone Bank,
now Polaris and how they suddenly possessed such wealth overnight.”

This story doesnt tally... the ADC isnt Buhari. When Atiku was stealing money, was Obasanjo the one stealing and looting? Moreover the same Atiku neva said he stopped. He was not at the airport and his officers didnt even stop them. They only recorded the incidrnt in the station diary so how did he stop the money that was taken away... so easy to dismiss for a lie cos lies are embedded in this story. I recently showed interest in a neighbour of mine, I know she likes me, but she is a very traditional person, she wants us to go through the full cycle before anything further. But something started giving me a reason to worry about here mindset towards relationships.

She celebrated her birthday last month, and I got her a very expensive wrist watch, it cost me 94k, she doesn't know this. I also got her a really nice cake, cost me 10k, so in all I spent over a hundred thousand on her birthday. I know for some this may not seem like much or may seem like too much, I think what really matters is tat I was fine with it and could afford it. Within the same period, she would indirectly ask me for funds, she said she was broke, I could have helped her with this but I felt it was way above my position, as I am only a "To Be Boyfriend", to offer her all this after spending a 100k on gifts for her birthday.

A week ago we had a very interesting discussion, about the role of the man and the woman in a relationship, she said that "A man should be responsible for the upkeep of his Girlfriend, he should save a portion from his salary monthly which he should give to his girlfriend for upkeep". I thought that was nonsense and I quickly called her out on it, all I can say now is that I don't think we would be dating anymore, because she took it very personally, she said she thinks she would suffer if she goes into a relationship with me, because I am already showing signs of being stingy.

If I keep writing I would not end, so my question here is, is she right? Should I have instead given her the cash rather than the gift? Because to me it now seems she doesn't see the value of the gift and would rather have cash. I want adult opinions please.

(Please note that I am not trying to paint this lady as an evil person, she is really sweet, loving, caring, she loves getting attention and doesn't have any problem in showing me how she really feels about me, overall she is a great lady.)
Bros your are not wrong... it is so sad that lots of girls feel entitled to a guy's money cos he is the boyfriend... if a guy chooses to spend on a lady is choice. Never settle for a lady who says its her right to ur money. She will only ruin you and leave u once the chips are down. You are not her father... that is why there is marriage. Its transfer of responsibility from her parents to you as a husband. Be wise

I don taya. Two months into this job and I am already looking for a greener pasture. I was happy when the offer I received from the firm tripled my previous salary but it's a different story entirely since I started receiving bank alerts.

First, they pay salary 5th of the next month which we complained about but the HR (a Chinese) said that's how it is even in their headquarters in China. The first salary I received, dude claimed it was because I resumed Nov 12 and not the first day of the month. I chilled and let it pass.

I wasn't even expecting my salary again at all this year and around 4am when I woke up to pee, I checked my phone only to see an alert from my bank. It was from my workplace. About 40% deductions was made again. I am just waiting for day to break so I can grill the HR but then I am sure he'd look for ways to justify the deductions.

I didn't miss any work day this month. I don't want to give more indepth info cos many of my colleagues at work are Nairalanders and they might snitch on me.

What do you lovely people suggest I do? How will a chinko be subjecting me to 21st century slavery? I know end-of-the-year bonuses. I have never heard of deductions in my life.
Bros, first of all, be sure to read up your letter of engagement... its really very important before you start asking questions. If you are very sure the deductions are not letitimate, you can then appoach your HR and also the breakdown of your deductions... some companies like Nigerian Breweries and British American Tobacco have higher taxation due to alcohol and cigarette and so they dont pay tax percentage like the regular citizens. Please be sure of that before you make conclusions

Sports betting to me is placing your money on predictable outcomes. If it turns out positive, you gain but if it turns otherwise you lose. I know that the Bible warns against the love for money or material things above God. But i find it difficult to see betting as a sin. Most youths today are into sport betting but the church is silent about whether it is a sin or not. I am saying this because I am yet to see any preacher publicly condamn sport betting.

I am into betting. Any one who will condamn betting as regards Christians believe should do so with Bible references to convince me. I am not upholding my opinion above others. I only seek to know.
There is no sin woth sport betting... its all gambling... they fall under lottery and gambling. But pastors win US and UK lottery and travel out. So why is it not a sin for them. Let us stop making unnecessary assumptions. Its not illegal so its not a sin
PoliticsRe: Olawepo-hashim Promises South-east Additional State by PrinceBBlack(m): 11:25am On Dec 29, 2018
mrrights:
Olawepo-Hashim promises South-East additional state

The presidential candidate of the People’s Trust, Mr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, on Friday promised that within six months of assuming office, he would create a legislative framework for the creation of one more state for the South-East.

He said the step became necessary because only the South-East has five states out of the six geopolitical zones in the country, when others have at least six states.

According to a statement made available to journalists, Olawepo-Hashim made the promise during a visit to Enugu State ahead of the commencement of his nationwide campaign.

The presidential candidate promised the people of the region that he would introduce measures that would heal their wounds and make Nigeria truly united.

He said there was the need for equity in the country.

He said, “2019 elections will be unusual, in the sense that it is almost a referendum on the future of Nigeria, on its peace and stability, on its security, on its continuity and of course, most importantly, about the prosperity of Nigeria.

“The South-East zone is very crucial. The way we handle issues that affect us and are germane to the people would determine whether we will continue to live in unity and peace as an indivisible entity.

“And of course, there have been a lot of wounds in this part of Nigeria. People carry a lot of wounds. Just like a lot of communities in Nigeria and states also carry some kinds of wounds.

“But there is no other place in Nigeria where these wounds are so deep as we have in the South-East of Nigeria.”

The candidate said he was committed to uniting Nigeria and reconciling the people so that they could face the task of national development.

He noted that as long as people from any part of the country feel they were conquered people, so would the difficult task of nation building become more challenging.

Olawepo-Hashim said the purpose of his visit to the South-East was to tell the people that there is a presidential candidate committed to healing the wounds of the region.

He added that his administration would decentralise power in the country within six months by amending the exclusive and the concurrent legislative lists to ensure that states have greater roles in resource mobilisation and deployment.

Apart from the South-East, he said Nigeria needed security urgently now that out of the 19 northern states, only six currently enjoy some level of stability.

“One of the reasons why killings go on endlessly in Nigeria is the fact that nobody is brought to book when they commit murder.

“That is why some say the lives of Nigerians have become so cheap. Under our Presidency, the lives of all Nigerians will be equal,” he said.

https://punchng.com/olawepo-hashim-promises-south-east-additional-state/amp/
what does this guy know that state creation would do. He should stop fooling himself. He has not talked about basic issues. Is creation of states the next thing? How viable are most of the South Eastern state in terms of Internal generated. Instead of him to say he will collapse states cos some are just useless especially in the north, ur trying to add to problems. I think this man is jyst clueless and doesnt deserve a chance cos he wont even fulfil this.

Dear OP what if the dialogue doesn't work out what next ?
They should just keep working for a salary that cannot feed and take care of their family ba
Lecturers in Nigeria are well paid. They themselves fail to improve on themselves cos they dont uograde their standards. Is it the government that would make them to deliver quality education. When ur lecturer in Nigerian university would not come to class or probably just come to class and then give topics without indepth teaching. The question is is that how lecturers in the US or UK doing their. They dont teach. ASUU is also at fault for the diminished qyality of education being given to students. Lecturers should be mandated to teach. Its is compulsory to impact in students life. I rest my case afterall na private i go so i no get mouth talk about ASUU

If Nnamdi Kanu had dogs supporting him, it would have been better as dogs are more loyal than his useless supporters who have left him and are now jumping after Atiku.
please is Nnamdi Kanu loyal to his people. Y isnt he in Nigeria protesting but yet endangering the lives of his supporters. Also, i hope he is providing his supporters money to feed and take care of themselves else supporting Atiku can be more profitable

But he was right.

Buhari is long dead and Jubrin has taken his place.

Besides, the money he spent on medicals in the UK is enough for 10 state burials!

*spits angry
so is it your money. Isnr it within his constitutional rights to spend it... if you are sick and your company has to spend heaven and earth, should they use it to feed the poor or use it for more production rather than spending it on you. Stop all the unnecessary hate. Nobody has accusex him of taking govt money illegally for medicals.

hmmmm so so bad if it goes this way you just analysed, of the truth, I supported Malam 3years ago. With at most vigour and candid honesty .And just like you said, I order him to. Any other person there in terms of honesty but he is more of a Nepotistic kind and more less of an administrator, his level of intelligence also gave way to how this nation went this low.But once again he is more honest and more of a tribalist and religiously inclined (I grew up in his area and lived there my entire childhood) Biut coming to the Yoruba part, I expect some very few to share a different ideology with respect to the fact that they are quite polarisdd along religion line .And that's what would basically determine the winner of this election, the north do not really determine that unlike before , we just need a good chunk of the west to follow the Eastern majority and voila !!!! . if you are from the East and you experienced this python dance thing sir,,would you be still willing to vote in Mallam and d pastor pls ?
lets be honest with ourselves. Its sad. But ideally, i am not looking at the bad part... there are lots of issues which we need to look at objectively and still analyze thing.
The administration is still doing very well. I cant say they arecperfect

yea I got that what I was saying is that the igbos making all this high praise doent translate in to the Eastern indigenes voting him in ,it really doesn't count for Buhari, they are just been sycophants
The funny thing is that constructively, they are right about Buhari. I say in the East and i think the govt has invested more. Ebonyi is waxing stronger with agriculture. Eunugu is there. So its not about lip singing. These Govt know the fact.

For the voting... i wont be surprises that people would vote Buhari from the east. Doesnt mean he would win but i mean get a good chunk of votes. The average Igbo man is not sure of Atiku but just feel he is a better bad choice. Last last, most people wont vote for this election. The yorubas would give Buhari their support and so he wins again
