I really would want to see what Wike would do if the state governors agree today to remove the ban on inter-state travels. Will he prevent people from other states from entering Rivers state?

So what would be the essence of enforcing movement restriction on Rivers people even when many states did not lock down?
Are they planning on that?

I used to like Wike. I voted for him and also mobilised few votes for him, but I am surprised how he is wielding power. There is no reason for this total lockdown. He feels angry that ppl are not dropping money like Lagos, else , why did he revoke all authority given to essential duty workers? Everything is on lockdown in Rivers including essential duty. Let us see how this will continue. I have food to eat for atleast 2 months. it his brothers and sisters- Rivers ppl that will suffer it. Rivers that most young ppl belong to one cult or the other and wield weapons , you want to shut them out from where they get their daily bread? Let us see how this will unfold.

Let APC take over this state in the next election. Infact, let them be taking it in turn so that if one party misbehaves, the other party is sure to take it.

HealthAmericans Asked For Bill Gate Arrest After He Produce Covid-19 Vaccine by princechina(op): 10:58pm On May 02, 2020
An immense crowd in America has trooped out to require the arrest of extremely rich world richest billionaire and Microsoft founder Bill Gates.

Gossipy tidbits and reports have had it since the coronavirus turned into a pandemic that Bill Gate has a concealed motivation behind the widespread virus.

COVID-19 Vaccine: Americans Call For Bill Gates’ Arrest Now that the specialist has thought of an antibody for the virus, theories are that the man genuinely has a strategic. Bill Gates had uncovered another RNA immunization, together with a rundown of things that must be done to empower life come back to ordinary once more.

He noted that he is particularly excited about pursuing the RNA vaccine, with a code needed to produce viral fragments on its own.
This, however, did not go down well with Americans as they query the rights and patent with which he operated to reveal a vaccine, given that he is not a doctor, scientist or microbiologist.

“Conspiracy theories become TRUTH when hidden agendas are exposed. The world sees the truth now: #BillGates has a patent for a microchip/vaccine & he’s investing in factories to make them. You can’t debate or theorize the truth so let’s all stop gaslighting ourselves & each other“, a tweep wrote.
“Many of us who actually care deeply about human health are not interested in your toxic money-making injectable poisons! We know you will “get it done” though, and we will continue to see people get sick and die from all your hard work #BillGates“, another wrote.

Meanwhile, one of Bill Gates’ tweet in which he noted that the next move for his foundation is to make money from vaccines is dug up, to further counter him. see tweets on the link below:

HealthSunlight Destroys Coronavirus Quickly, Say US Scientists by princechina(op): 7:52am On Apr 24, 2020
In Summary
But the paper itself has not yet been released for review, making it difficult for independent experts to comment on how robust its methodology was.

It has long been known that ultraviolet light has a sterilizing effect, because the radiation damages the virus's genetic material and their ability to replicate.

Washington,

The new coronavirus is quickly destroyed by sunlight, according to new research announced by a senior US official on Thursday, though the study has not yet been made public and awaits external evaluation.

William Bryan, science and technology advisor to the Department of Homeland Security secretary, told reporters at the White House that government scientists had found ultraviolet rays had a potent impact on the pathogen, offering hope that its spread may ease over the summer.

"Our most striking observation to date is the powerful effect that solar light appears to have on killing the virus, both surfaces and in the air," he said.

"We've seen a similar effect with both temperature and humidity as well, where increasing the temperature and humidity or both is generally less favorable to the virus."

But the paper itself has not yet been released for review, making it difficult for independent experts to comment on how robust its methodology was.

It has long been known that ultraviolet light has a sterilizing effect, because the radiation damages the virus's genetic material and their ability to replicate.

A key question, however, will be what the intensity and wavelength of the UV light used in the experiment was and whether this accurately mimics natural light conditions in summer.

"It would be good to know how the test was done, and how the results were measured," Benjamin Neuman, chair of biological sciences at Texas A&M University-Texarkana, told AFP.

"Not that it would be done badly, just that there are several different ways to count viruses, depending on what aspect you are interested in studying."

Bryan shared a slide summarizing major findings of the experiment that was carried out at the National Biodefense Analysis and Countermeasures Center in Maryland.

It showed that the virus's half-life -- the time taken for it to reduce to half its amount -- was 18 hours when the temperature was 70 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit (21 to 24 degrees Celsius) with 20 percent humidity on a non-porous surface.

This includes things like door handles and stainless steel.

But the half-life dropped to six hours when humidity rose to 80 percent -- and to just two minutes when sunlight was added to the equation.

When the virus was aerosolized -- meaning suspended in the air -- the half-life was one hour when the temperature was 70 to 75 degrees with 20 percent humidity.

In the presence of sunlight, this dropped to just one and a half minutes.

Bryan concluded that summer-like conditions "will create an environment (where) transmission can be decreased."

He added, though, that reduced spread did not mean the pathogen would be eliminated entirely and social distancing guidelines cannot be fully lifted.

"It would be irresponsible for us to say that we feel that the summer is just going to totally kill the virus and then if it's a free-for-all and that people ignore those guides," he said.

Previous work has also agreed that the virus fares better in cold and dry weather than it does in hot and humid conditions, and the lower rate of spread in southern hemisphere countries where it is early fall and still warm bear this out.

Australia, for example, has had just under 7,000 confirmed cases and 77 deaths -- well below many northern hemisphere nations.

The reasons are thought to include that respiratory droplets remain airborne for longer in colder weather, and that viruses degrade more quickly on hotter surfaces, because a protective layer of fat that envelops them dries out faster.

US health authorities believe that even if COVID-19 cases slow over summer, the rate of infection is likely to increase again in fall and winter, in line with other seasonal viruses like the flu.

CrimeRe: Have You Ever Been Scammed? Share Your Experience!! by princechina(m): 6:25pm On Apr 23, 2020
jamael:
Funny scam when I was still a child.

Mine happened a long time ago. However, I still remember it crystal clear cuz it taught me some deep lessons.

I schooled in a religious school, back then in Sokoto, Mamman Barkeji Nursery and Primary School. In my Primary 3, I got first position for the first time and became the class prefect. Normally, girls started coming closer to me. I also reciprocated their kind gesture. There was this beautiful girl who came second that term. She was taller then most of us, had a pointed nose, and a very wonderful smile. I think her name was like Henuwell.

Naturally, I liked her. After school one day, a friend of mine, Musa, came to me and told me that she liked me and that she wanted to be my friend and would need some money. Mind you, I was about 7 years old then oh. Happily, I have him the little I has on me, about 10 kobo.

The next day, during the morning assembly, he told me that she was very grateful and that she loved me for that. My head began to swell. He asked whether I had some more money for her that it would make her love me the more. Unfortunately, I didn't have any with me, but I promised him that I would get it for him the next day. My people, that was how I started stealing the small change from our children's purse that was kept in my parent's room. I stole the N 25 that was there and gave it to the boy. Everyday, I got one new love story or another from the girl about how she was thinking of me, how she loved me better than any other boy, etc through Musa. grin

On one Monday morning, nemesis decided to pursue and catch up with me. I went into the Children's purse and lo and behold, only N 500 note was left there. Without thinking twice, I took the money and kept it in my bag. When it was time for us to go, my dad told us to enter his vehicle so that he could pick up our neighbours and drop us all at school. I really don't know what happened, but when he came out of the room, he came out with an empty bag of Children's money and began to ask for the thief. All of us initially denied it. Then my mom joined him and began to beg us to open up. By that time, I was already shaking. That was how I confessed and got serious beatings from both my parents. I cried and cried and cried. It was really painful. After some time, my parents stopped and bundled me inside the car.

As soon as we got to school, they told the Headmaster and I went for the morning assembly. The first thing that Musa asked when he saw me was whether I came with the money. At that point, the pain I was feeling was more than my love for Henuwell and I told him to leave me alone. As soon as the assembly was dismissed, my class teacher called me to kneel down under the tree for stealing from my parents. I then told him that it was because of Musa and Henuwell.

When both of them came, Musa couldn't look at me. As the man was about to punish both of them, the girl shouted that she didn't know anything about it. That was when Musa confessed that he didn't even talk to the girl and that he was using the money I gave him for himself. You need extra beatings I received that morning. Musa was called a criminal, was terribly beaten and got seriously punished throughout the whole day. They even asked reported him to his parents.

To crown it all, about a week later, I learnt that Henuwell actually really loved me and wanted to be my good friend. embarassed

The next term, I left that school.

That was how I was scammed.
This stuff happened about 16 years ago, but funny enough, as I was typing this, I could still visualise Henuwell's face. wink

Edit: For those asking about the 10 kobo I gave Musa, like I said initially, I don't exactly remember the actual value, but I know it was the change I had on me which was a coin. grin

Also, N 500 note was in existence as at 2003/2004 cool
I no finish ur story cos it smells of lies. Wetin u know at 7?
