Abeg, Tinubu should follow us to pass through the difficulty. Suffering is not meant for the masses alone. He cant be spending over 30b in two years to gallavant around the world on my tax payers money and natural resources and expect me to work and suffer for today so that tomorrow will be better. Him and his family no dey follow suffer?
He will be enjoying electricity while heat will be dealing with me. No way

I don laugh tire. If World bank and IMF dey praise u, u are finished o. Those guys have and hold Tinubu well. I am sensing they may help him hold on to power. U see world bank and IMF, they are weapon fashioned agaisnt developing countries.
They encourage policies they ensure ur people remain poor for life.
There is no magic to sustainable society than being productive and fight corruption. All these rubbish talks are just the fact that Tinubu and Frnace are in good relationship, only god knows the deal he has with them. Same type of deals they have with many useless african countries.
Fight corruption to the end, ensure ur public institutions does not treat anyone abobe anyone.
Cut down on the cost of governance
invest massively in education to produce graduates who actually go into scienece to produce local finished products that we can use and export. Like, can we start making chipsets, engines, electricity transformers, smart tv, etc. Once u do that, ur currency will strengthen and u can start growing. Tinubu was reported to have spent 34b on foreign trips alone in two years. Na waste of money o. But most of Nigerians are poor. Yet world bank is prasing him. Once u dey world bank and IMF good books, omo, forget it, u are gone.

Nope, a country should provide electricity for the citizne. Like we cant be spending such huge amount of money on politicians for nothing.
And if I can provide my self most of my electricity, water, security, healthcare, eductation, pls why does the govt wants to take up to 25 percent of my income tax after taking tax from VAT from me, bank charges, import duties, levies, etc?
PoliticsRe: How Nigeria Knocked Out South Africa In Global GDP Contributions by Princedapace(m): 10:41pm On Feb 03
seunmsg:
No President can provide uninterrupted electricity, pipe borne water, universal health coverage and effective security for over 230 million people under three years. Not when he inherited a complete mess in all those areas. Anybody telling you they will achieve those things in four years is lying.

FG has been handling electricity since 1960 without much success. It should be obvious to every sensible person that FG alone can’t provide electricity for all Nigerians. That’s why the Jonathan administration privatized some aspect of the electricity value chain in 2013. Even at that, the private sector couldn’t attract the needed investment because of the huge subsidy in the system. The Tinubu administration has now removed electricity from the exclusive list. State and private sector can now generate, transmit and distribute electricity to the final consumer outside of the national grid. So, go and ask what your state governor is doing about electricity.

Water supply is another concurrent issue. Is it best handled by your state government. Go and ask your governor what he’s doing about water supply. The president in Abuja cannot provide drinking water to 230 million people.

Same apply to the health sector. Primary and secondary health facilities are the responsibility of your state government. The president in Abuja cannot provide PHC facilities for 230 million people. It’s impossible. The FG should only provide tertiary health care institutions. State and private sector should cover the rest. Again, go and and ask your state governor about what he’s doing in the heath sector.
Hahahaahah
Now, I have ur time and u are not talking to a fool!
I should ask my governor what he is doing with the money given to him?
Now, same governors who are always rushing to the ruling parties to gain favour from president and president who protects them in return for their states to be captured for the president?
U go and protest, they send soliders and police who are fully controlled by the president to shoot us. In Nigeria, all u need to do is ass lick the president. The president controls Nigeria, this is why we are demanding for true federalism or complete restructuring, but no president has agreed. The president is so powerful that judges, national assembly, governors, ministors, etc, all ass lick the president and will do anything for him instead of working for the masses. U cant protest, they have president backing and police or military will be deployed agaisnt Nigerians and people will be killed.

Now, on ur other views, it is funny because someone like me doesnt care who is in power, I just want a working Nigeria. The president position is the most powerful and number 1 citizen of the country in a unitary federal system, we will all hold the president accountable.
He is the highest paid, he has access to do anything, can withdraw our money as he likes, no one questions him. He can award contracts as he likes, we cant do anythiung, he controls the CBN, he controls the police, the military, the water ways, the list goes on. The federal hospitals are still wack, the federal roads are wack, if u want states to do most of the governance work, then lift powers out of the hands of the president and devote most powers to governors, they are closer to the poeple.
I am paying the president from my sweat daily, he has to do his job, he controls EFCC, lol. He should persecute everyone, not those who refused to work for them.
I am angry at Nigeria, not anyone. I cant be happy with any mumu statisc when I dont have electricity, water, good roads, healthcare, nothing.
China is bigger than us but has these things grin
if population is ur problem, why not break the country into smaller segments?
has the president stopped spending heavily on him self and families? I mean, they budgeted heavily for solar last year and this year. So, what happens to me whose money is being used to prepare solar for the president and I am asked not to hold the president accountable for not providing me with social amenities in return?
At least the president should protect Nigerians since he alone controls the entire security structure. I mean, why take a job u cant do when u will make excuse that the country is too large? Like, so u just came to eat money or what? I am spending a lot of my sweat on these men.
My bro, I am not happy with Nigeria and wont celebrate shit when we type this under darkness, use power bank, buy bottle water and still gets taxed up to 38 percent from various tax. No way, no way, it is a failed country governed by wicked humans.

This news ordinarily should elicit optimistic and positive reactions from all sensible Nigerian. Since the IMF published the stats, folks who primarily come from the SE have done everything humanly possible to attack and condemn the news. While Chinese, Indians and nationals of other countries mentioned in the top ten went under the tweet to project their countries positively, these set of Nigerians who support Peter Obi went under the tweet to attract IMF and world of statistics.

South African and a lot of Europeans went under same tweet to bash their government for not doing enough to make the top ten. In fact, some Europeans appealed to IMF to present the EU as a country so that the EU can make the top ten. That’s how much other countries value the achievement. But in Nigeria, these haters are attacking everybody because Nigeria achieved what a lot of other countries are struggling to achieve. They are so pained and angry.

Sadly for them, our economic growth is on a very high trajectory. It is unstoppable. The country shall continue to get better and they shall continue to get angry.
Baba, I need electricity, period. I need my purchasing power increased, period not reducing my purchaisng power.
Like I dont want to sleep under heat and mosquitoe pls. All these other countries happy, they have electricity, Leave Peter Obi matter, I just want light and water, I am tired of carrying generator to fix. It is heavy and noisy and annoying.
I want quality healthcare. Like, i want at least the level of SA healthcare abeg. Do u get? These are what affect ordinary Nigerians. I want to stop paying estate security, I want emergency services respond to me like they do in SA. I dont want to dig bore hole to get water and I want to stop buying bottle water. It is expensive and no one will deduct that from my tax.
I want to stop wasting money on politicians who live so lavishly while masses suffer. These are whar will make us happy. Una think sey countries many that can match their infrastructure. Especially west Africa, them swear that region not to ever have sense.
Proper football league alone can create over 20k jobs in Nigeria.
The reason our stadium struggle is because we have wacky local leagues. While north Africa and south Africa have good structures because they have strong local leagues. Strong local leagues maintain infrastructures
EducationRe: Ahmadu Bello University Is Beautiful - Okonjo-Iweala Confesses by Princedapace(m): 7:43am On Feb 02
theforemost:
1. I see the quality roads with concrete pavements that are being built around the country by Dave Umahi led team. Anytime I’m going to my state I see it along Lokoja. When I get to my state, Ondo, I see the ongoing work along Ondo—Ore, I see it along Akure—Ado Ekiti, I see it in the coastal side of Ilaje, I see it along Ado Ekiti—Ikare and I am glad with the approval and flag off of the Ilesa—Benin road that will pass through Akure, our state capital. There has never been a time I witnessed that level of construction by the FG going simultaneously in my home state. And a similar thing is happening in Abuja where I am based too.

2. I see the progress of works being done on the Lagos—Calabar coastal highway as well as the Sokoto—Badagry superhighway. They’ll be the most outstanding infrastructure that our country will ever know. Serious infrastructure that we admire in foreign countries are beginning to spring up around us, and it makes me proud.

3. I have many examples of young people who have benefited from the Students Loans scheme. In the last one year, I don’t think I have heard story of any student that dropped out of school on account of their inability to pay. That’s a milestone achievement for this generation. It’s a big win for humanity. Someone like me who has in the past worked as the administrator of an NGO that people looked up to for help to pay school fees time to time, must appreciate this noble gesture, because in that regard, my eyes have seen and my ears have heard a lot of heartbreaking stories of events that reduce young people’s chances at life.

4. My Local Government Chairman has been executing projects that his predecessors could not carry out. When I inquired to know what’s responsible for that, I learnt there’s increased allocation to the LGA as a result of the autonomy fought for, and facilitated by President Tinubu. It’s not effective the way we want it to be yet, but evidently there’s improvement from what it used to be. Hopefully with persistent pressure from Tinubu, the third tier of government will break free from the hook of the state governments.

5. I live in Cadastral Zone, FO1 Main Estate, Kubwa, Abuja and I can confirm to you authoritatively that power supply has improved in my area. Same for my place in Alagbaka Akure. Therefore, although it comes at a higher cost but we are getting value for what we pay for—just like our mates that are living abroad. As a matter of fact, I gave out my generator to a Fulani friend, Yusuf Kembu, since last year—because I have no reason to keep it.

6. I see the far reaching reforms in the processing of our international passports such that over 200,000 backlog of applications that were left by Aregbesola were cleared within 3weeks, and today, we can apply for passport from the comfort of our home and it will take less than 2weeks to get it, unlike when we had to wait for 3-4months. I also see the various reforms being put in place by the ministry of interior to assist with border surveillance. In fact, this is the only time I know the ministry is living up to its responsibilities.

7. I see the digitization process at our airports. I was still at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport Abuja last week Tuesday. I noticed the infrastructure upgrade and enhanced security too.

8. I see the Federal Institute of Aviation Technology that’s about taking off in my state capital, and I am aware same is being replicated across the six geopolitical zones. Nigerians don’t necessarily have to travel abroad for studies in aerospace and aeronautics engineering.

9. I witnessed the takeover of our Ondo State University of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital in Akure by the Federal Government in a bid to expand the infrastructure capacity, staff strength, medical supplies and efficiency—to deliver greater services. As a matter of fact, the work has started at the facility. And I am aware a similar thing is happening across many states.

10. I received higher dividends from my share investments in Nigerian companies. I can count a lot of my friends too who made unprecedented gains from their stocks in different Nigerian entities—an indication that our economy is viable and attractive to investors. Matter of fact, our foreign reserve too has increased by over 30%

11. With the new banks’ recapitalization, improved digitization in the financial sector as well as the new tax reforms, I see the direction the Tinubu government is going—a credit based economy that will uplift the standard of living of the citizenry, so that we can live the life we want today and pay tomorrow like it happens in advanced countries across the world.

We may not be there yet, but to deny that Nigeria is not moving in a direction that is promising, can only be as a result of two things—whether such commentator is not well informed or they’re denying the reality to suit their political sentiments.

Agu James O thanks for inviting me here bro✊🏼
oga, nigeria can not get there if u dont tackle corruption. Make una dey waste una time. All presidents built roads grin. Infact, most of the roads we use today were built by even worse military rulers in this country grin
Some of us are smart not to fall for this madness of coasta road here and there.
Nigeria needs serious structural changes. She has money:
One, nigeria needs to create lasting job for her teeming population. So, Nigeria needs to work on three major stuff:
1: structural, Nigeria needs honest electoral reform that actually fixes the manipulations done during elections. If the citizens have confidence in their electoral system and elect the people they want, not those who can buy votes, use thugs to intimidate opponents, target uneducated people, etc. Once nigerian educated and well exposed people's vote can count, they will elect Leaders who will fear the masses and the leaders will deliver. Now, what we have are leaders who please god fathers, sitting presidents, governors, senators, etc. They dont give a Bleep about the masses becus they know how to rig election.
We have seen and heard politicians make bold comments about rigging elections here. One even mentioned how he took a governor to go and beg all the supreme judges who were to preside over their electoral jusgment. That alone in the US is an indictment. But he is working freely.
If u dont fix ur electoral system to allow democracy to work and also have enlightened citizens who will vote with senses, u cant make any fucking progress. That is why each president comes in and the orinary Nigerian still battles with poor electricity, pathetic healthcare system, over population, fraudulenet politicians, massive insecurity. Make una stop this una madness of Nigeria is heading to direction. Which fucking direction?
2: corruption needs to be made a capital offense, period. U steal public fund, u get to be hanged publicly. But to do this, Nigeria needs to first regionalized so that each region will handle their corrupt leaders without the influence of the president and kill the corrupt leaders. Corruption and waste are our biggest problem. Judges are corrupt, house of rep is corrupt. What u have is house of rep that says YES to everything the president does. It is more like we have president who is a King and has absolute power. That is wrong democracy.
3: Nigeria needs electricity madly. If the govt cant fix electricity, for now, it should invest in solar powered electricity for the citizens. Give business grant to do solar, give citizens grant to do solar or build solar grids. U jst have to dam fix this stuff. But if corruption is not fixed, even if u borrow 9 trillion billion dollars to fix electricity, it will still be stollen.
Like this now, no consequencies for looting Nigeria as an ex president, ex senator, ex governor, as long as u are on the side of the ruling president, u are cool. That is madness, that is people's sweat and blood una don steal for una generations.
4. Nigeria should drastically cut down on the pay checks and packages for politicians. We have no need of two house of reps since all they do is Say Yes to president, they cant challenge president, so, we should keep one and pay them less.
We should only support ex president and ex governors for only 10 years after service, others, only 5 years. Nigeria is broke, right? Why spend 100billion taking care of ex politicians?
Nigeria needs mad investments into science to start converting their raw materials into finished goods to use locally and export. There is no way any country can develop if she has no finished products to sell to the world. No magic around it.

China never risked 1 soldiers life for Russia I doubt they’d do it for Iran. With zero economic value to them.

Back to the main issue, @OP, I know Iranians, they hate what their country has become. Make your findings, the Shia population doesn’t represent the majority. They love music, movies, almost all I’ve met have tattoos.
They are proud Persians and want to return to their Persian ways. They don’t participate in Islamic extremist agendas.

Anyone who loves Iran should wish them true independence, democracy or a favorable monarchy not a theocracy.

Sycophancy is not tantamount to love. Even though Tinubu and his minions seem to confuse the two. The governors know he loves sycophants so they are all acting the part. The first Nigerian president to have a special anthem for sycophants and to feed his fragile ego. Despite all these, Tinubu's low self-esteem somehow manages to show whenever he's out of the country, like we saw in Turkey.
This is why the governors dont perform, the federal mights help them rig election. This is why the governors no send citizens. Normally, if we ran Nigeria properly, people would pay more attentoon to their governors than the president. But the president in nigeria;s system is so powerful that governors fear him more than fearing their own citizens in their states. So, all u have to do is please the president and u will win.
Why does it work that way? Most Nigerians actually dont understand democracy till date. Like, maybe only 15 percent of Nigerians understand the idealogy of democracy. So, the politicians take advantage of this.
He did this with tax payers money, this is why I hate the idea of taxing my personal income here. The worse part is that the governor will use the money meant for public use to ass lick president and the governor can lock u up for questioning him even though the money is not his own money.

If you most take permission to have sex with your wife, you might as well pay a woman money for sex.

Whereby the objectivity of sex has been fettered to reason.

Can u imagine? The men are cooked. Who are these modern men? Why are they this weak? Like u cant even opt of marriage becus of poor sex from ur partner. WTF

Why do you want military officers to take away your ability to make inputs into how your local, state and federal governments are run?

Did we not have recycled military coupists as civilian presidents for 16 of the first 24 years of our return to democracy? What improvement did they make?

What improvements did our country experience under military regimes since January 1966 compared to civilian democracy?

Why choose to return to the Pakistani path of military dictators instead of continuing in the Indian path of democracy? Why should we be so hopeless and helpless, instead of increasing our participation in the political and governance processes including advocacy for our country to better look like what we want it to look like huh

Who Dy Bleep told U that we have right to make input? Did they ask us when they signed agreement with France and refused to even make the agreement open to us?
Which inputs Fe U talking about? Did we tell them to use 7b for solar in Aso Rock. Like what inputs do we really make in democracy in Africa ?
We have asked for water, electricity, security, for decades since I was a child, have then given us?

Just say you hate Tinubu , why will any sane person clamoring for a military coup in Nigeria? Do you want OBI Atiku e.t.c or coup ? If coup happens none of them will smell the seat ever again.

Don’t use hatred you have for one person to cause harm to millions .

Go and do the coup since that’s what you want .
What is my benefit if Obi and Atiku wins? We are talking about government that can make Nigeria develop, pls. Namibia has electricity. I'm tired of buying fuel and using generator to sleep at night or watch my child sleep under heat. I'm tired.
Democracy has failed just as military regime. Nigerians have suffered so much.
Health care, zero. Even health workers are on strike while presidency has 7b budgeted for solar, godddss
