If you knew your work you'd know Nigeria is not cursed, and you'd be promoting work we the people may do to uncurse Nigeria if it were cursed.

The capacity is after all in you and me and everyone else to fix our "small problems". Or don't you understand you are claiming Nigerians are cursed, and that includes you, despite your "drive good car, travel out, earn well abroad"?
Nigeria as a country is cursed, her citizens provide everything by them selves. That is how cursed nations behave.

ChizzyBuna:
One thing I learnt in life is
Women should NEVER be given power

In bible, it was a punishment to be ruled by a woman.
A society that gives women too much freedom
They will abuse it always.

Back then, a Queen can wake up feeling grumpy and once you greet her and she doesn't like your face. She will send you to be executed. Women abuse power.
They are not created to handle power.

Rape accusations happen because these girls know they will go Scott free.
No consequences because she is a girl..

That is too much power
That is why they abuse it and yse it to kill and tarnish people live
Just like the Queen, when women are given such power
A woman can wake up grumpy one day and decide to lay false rape accusations for attention. Because society will not punish her

Now I understand why Islam don't give women rights. They must have suffered terrible fate in the past and they vowed to chain women and never give them any right.
To prevent that mistake from happening again
What have men done with the power given to them in Nigeria ? grin
No light till date after over 60 years of men rule grin

Nigeria is such in a mess since APC took over. They are so focused on media propaganda.
How can U be sleeping under heat or buy gen and still drag the gen downstairs to pump water and still buy bottle water? And still struggle with network and still pay over 30 percent of total tax while the ruling politicians live large, enjoy and have their life style funded by us? Nigeria will drain u. Run if U can. It is a pathetic and cursed nation.

Nigeria is not cursed. It is the thinking of the hopeless and incapable that are actually cursed. And sadly, such people want others to buy into their hopelessness and become useless like they are. The smart and intelligent ain't buying.

Everyone knows one's environment or situation does not improve all by itself but by the action of those who want things to change and are willing to work for it.
Hahahaa, Baba, I'm not poor. I live well, drive good car, travel out. Did U get it? I earn well abroad. So, think well.
Nigeria is cursed for lacking the capacity to fix her smallest problems. It is a cursed nation because it is already a disaster. As I speak now, no electricity in a major state capital. My neighbor and my gen are on as we speak. Is that life ? Make U dey there dey write rubbish. Money I spend on fueling na people yearly salary sef. So, U see, the country is fucking cursed.
In 2026, I had to on gen to get electricity, inside that, I still need to battle with poor network for my work, even though I use a WiFi service. Shame no dey catch Una for this country ?
It is a cursed nation because even many countries poorer in natural resources have these basic things for her citizens.
Nigeria is cursed for having useless people as leaders.
Over 95 percent of Nigerians sleep under heat every night. That is a cursed nation. Infact, the life styles U live here, if Dutch citizen should live it for 5 days, he will run mad immediately.
This one na life ?
I go suffer bring my gen down from upstairs to pump water almost every three days. I go suffer take it upstairs. I will still buy bottle water to drink.
And Ur useless govt takes all kinds of taxes from me. Is that not a cursed nation ? See this one talking about smart people grin
If U know my work, U wont even mention that smartness near me because U can't even dare do it if U are half smart.

But I think hope is what makes life meaningful though!
Bro, the hope u have is the hope of life. Nigeria has no hope, it will eventually collapse beyond disaster.
With the rapid growing population and extreme hardsship, it may head towards Somalia path. Practically, on a daily, people are being massively kidnapped.
Let me give u a crazy scenario bro. Did u know that a relative of mine, a teacher with police education department, for them to write promotion exams, they had to travel to Abuja. Like for what? Like u kow how deadly the roads are, how bad the roads are, how kidnappers are using Nigerians to do bread and butter, yet, u get mind ask people mama and papa to enter road to Abuja or take flight to Abuja for promotion exams. Like, why do we love to make things hard for our selves? Who are these old men and women who have refused to embrace development? Now, a vehicle coming from Enugu for this same exam had terrible accident along Lokoja road. Gush! Why cant they just write the exams in their place of residence? Like why travel to far places for this? Why cant we embrace digital life? Must we center everything in Abuja?
Guy, i dislike the older generation. I so dislike these beasts. They bleeped up my generation and wasted us. I will never forgive them for their crimes against my generation. They ruined this country!

Nigeria is a frustrating country...

The unfortunate thing is many Nigerians have become used to their situation and now see it as normal.

It's like a slave that has fallen in love with his shackles.

Many Nigerians don't know what normal even is as they have lived abnormally all their lives.

Even the barest minimum basic amenities taken for granted in other countries are luxury in Nigeria.

It's a pity. I hope things change for the better!
No need to remain hopeful. Nothing will get better. The country is part of the wonders of earth. It will get worse. I mean, it is already finished. No one can save it.
The few elites are all secured baba, they have properties and houses and investments outside Nigeria to last generations.
Have u ever heard that an ex president went to Jail? In South Africa, ex president has gone to jail, in South Korea same thing. Here, no way. They loot away and stay relaxed. It is like we are foolish. I am sick, tired and frustarted of this shithole. I will never say anything good about this hell of a country, I am not doing badly money wise but this country, it is hell. Some of us believed in it and refused to leave, I am regreting now.
Like bro, I am running on gen for hours in 2026 and some people here get mouth dey lambast Namibia whose citizens cant relate to stuff like this.

I wrote a piece three years ago when the russian Ukrainian war started. I said Russia will try to scatter the bread that France and her allies are enjoying in Africa. For many decades,, Russia didn't care to go outside eastern African. They left west to do their dirty games. But since west still no gree rest and came for exact russian interests, Russia will try to scatter their plans in Africa which is their main strength. Russia has done France so dirty this past year.
This was also the real reason behind trump sudden interest in Nigeria. West Africa is now so important for military operations for the west.

I said it was a crime committed by South Africans, it wasnt targetted because someone was a foriegner. The law has apprehended them immediately. At leats, better than our own where over 200 will be killed and no one would be arrested. till date, no one has been arrested for slaughtering over 165 Nigerians in Kwara state. Is that not a shame? Supposing we apply the same measure here in Nigeria what do u think will happen.

Killing is killing no country can solve all their problems.

PoliticsRe: Aso Rock Solar Project: Is The Nigerian Government Betraying Nigerians? by Princedapace(m): 11:04am On Feb 13
WizardOfNG:
You're simply speaking emotionally and ignorantly. FG does not have the money to "fix electricity" because even the inadequate supply we enjoyed was as a result of subsidy in the power supply sector. As simple as that.

This is why the power sector has been totally deregulated to allow States craft their own unique power solutions.

The hope is that a mix of FG effort allied with State taking full responsibility for their own power needs and then Nigerians complementing this, by a readiness to pay for power, will create a power generation and supply market where investors seeking ROI (returns on investment) can come to invest in the Nigerian power sector in a partnership that works for all.

Full deregulation of the oil downstream sector saw Dangote refinery rise with BUA refinery and others on the way and not far behind. We now no longer have fuel scarcity with things even looking to get better, with greater competition driving down price, when other Private refineries are fully productive.

That is a microcosm of what must be achieved in the power sector. Same way unavoidable removal of fuel subsidy means you have to pay more for petrol to ensure reliable supply.

Concept is same for power sector with Nigeria needing full removal of subsidy so private sector investors, with cash and expertise, can come in to "fix electricity" if Nigerians are ready to pay a fair amount for power they use once subsidy is gone fully.

What I explained above is of course far more complex but hope you get the gist to begin educating yourself and stop talking ignorantly. We are in an information. Expecting FG to "fix electricity" is a hideously ignorant, irresponsible and unfair statement for any adult to make.

Lastly, Solar power is a vastly under-utilised contributor to our power solution mix considering God has blessed us with favourable weather to make much more of solar power.

The FG is therefore leading responsibly choosing to power Aso Rock with renewable and greener energy that will save Nigeria a lot of money in the long run. Nothing like "quiet abandonment" as the lazy article tries cajoling readers to believe.
FG does not have the money to subside electricity, but has money to budget cars for politicians, right? Oga, u cant fool me. Nigerian politicians are wicked, take it anywhere.
They budget billions for cars and their pleasure and budget penny for education and health.
So, FG is saving 47b for Nigerians right? So, what happens to Nigerians them selves who fund FG?

Do u know or should I break down the mouth watering packges designed for politicians? Like even past politicians, we spend heavily on them. So, Nigerians were created to work while politicians enjoy? And u are justifying this rubbish. How can the sit of power abandon her core responsibility of providing stable electricity to use our tax payers money to build 17billion naira solar for them selves. Haaaaa and u are justifying this shit? Like Nigerian politicians are among the highest paid on earth while having some of the poorest and under paid citizens.

Do you think at all? Have you articulated reasons why any government in the world would by 'solar' for its citizens? Is this really a thought out alternative? How much do you expect this to cost and who would fund it? Do you think it's government job to buy solar panels for individuals? SMH.
Do u think as well? Govt around the world provide electricity for citizens and not buy solar for them selves

Fixing electricity is not mutually exclusive to reducing cost, the two can happen together. State house using solar or not is not what will fix electricity.
Then the govt should provide solar solutions for Nigerians while they are fixing electricity. Nigerians also deserve to sleep with AC / Fan on. It is not designed for politicians alone. They use our tax payers money and resources to give them selves comfort and ask us to suffer. That is evil. There is nothing to celberate here.
Give everyone solar then. At least 17b was spent on Aso rock aside what is spent on president and his family houses, and dont forget, they will be taken care of for life.
So, they should provide us with similar facilities. At least 5m will be enough for each home.
