Sagamite:I was thinking the goalie should have punched it out, a good goalie at least. But it was a quick lethal shot, though, so it may not be the goalie's error. |

Orikinla: ![]() Does your own sentence make sense to you? What you just wrote highlights a problem that has bedeviled Nigerian culture--wanting to appear bigger than what you really are, and behavior that shows that one is pompous, just like your sentence! Think before you write and use only what is necessary, for it will take you far.For me, I think Nigerian culture embodies a mix of people who like to party, like to travel, and who like to outsmart or out-hustle the next person. |
Geez! The poster is pretty much saying he is a gay dude. You might as well come out of the closet. |
Is it that people can't read, or can read without reasoning? Many people on this thread are interpreting "the match will be closed to the public" as meaning it will not be broadcast on TV." Geez! And what's with all the negativity, mehn! All the other World Cup bound teams, with the exception of teams with an insignificant number of Europe based players, all have three weeks to prepare for the World Cup. The European season just ended. And why are people treating friendly games like its life or death. Would you rather perform excellently in friendlies and flop in the World Cup? The last time I checked, the Onigbinde led team in the 2002 World Cup performed excellently in the friendlies leading to the World Cup but flopped in the tournament. Can't you guys be positive for a second and let the coach do his job, that is, using training sessions and friendlies to fine tune his team and select the best players for the World Cup. Relax, guys? |
mama-gee:You would not even know if you met those kind of men, for all they need to do to deceive you is rent a fancy car, borrow their friends bling bling, buy you a bottle of MOET with their entire salary, and let go of you once they are finished with you and before the cat is let out of the bag. And here you are running your mouth about you hardly meet those kind of men. Abeg, sit down somewhere; you are acting like you hang out only with a group of elite class of people that excludes ordinary security guards. By the way, what is your occupation before you can say you hardly meet those kind of people? yeye girl |
Because dem born am for U.K. we no go hear word. If you disagree with certain Nigerian beliefs, why not speak about those issues rather than categorically berating Nigerian culture. Abeg make you go touch your toe and point your behind to your boyfriend. |

You reap what you sow--how the dating behaviors African-American in their teens come back to hunt them when they become adults. The problem in America starts right from middle through high school. Majority of American black women are attracted to the losers and unintellectual kids, effectively alienating the articulate and intelligent black kids. These women also chase after material things excessivley at a very young age, so, rather than staying in school and attending college, many of these young black male kids drop out of high school to sell drugs and commit crimes to make money that will be used to attract young black females, and therein part of the problem lies. As a matter of fact, black women label young black men who speak properly and are academically brilliant as acting white. Since an estimated 70% of black children grow up in single parent homes, many young women do not know how to identify masculine traits; instead, many of these girls think that a black man who breaks the law or portrays an outward bravado, sometimes colloquially referred to as swag, is displaying a desirable a masculine trait. When these young women now become adults of marriageable age, they now seek a successful black men to date. The problem is that these women have forgotten that during their teenage years, their dating behavior inherently discouraged young black men to be successful, because they were seeking the unintellectual and irresponsible black man. In essence, their dating habits during their teenage years have come back to hunt them in their adulthood, for many of the intelligent black men whom they did not desire are now married to white women (white women love articulate black men, even at a young age). And since they did not seek responsible traits in black men at a young age, such as performing well academically, many young black men do not want to perform well academically or attend college because many young black men fear that young black women will find them unattractive if they perform well academically. Unfortunately, these women would rather date thugs. Lesson: you reap what you sow, and these black women are surely reaping what they sow. Unless the dating behaviors of black women change, the problem will worsen. |
iice:Grateful for what? You mean grateful for laying down there wide open enjoying while he does all the grinding and pounding? |
