Coronavirus: Pastors are not ordinary people, anyone who assaults a pastor is in danger – Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has warned against the arrest and assault of Pastors amid the outbreak of Coronavirus in the country.

The founder of Loveworld Ministries a.k.a Christ Embassy said this while reacting to a report of Pastors being arrested by government officials in a bid to enforce social distancing in churches.

Narrating a recent incident which played out, Pastor Chris recalled how a member of a taskforce boasted about arresting a Pastor.

The Christ Embassy Founder said;

“He was excited he arrested a Pastor. Terrible! But he is not the first to arrest a pastor. Jesus was arrested and Jesus was doing what the people didn’t want Him to do and the Apostles did what they were not allowed to do. The Government said, ‘Don’t preach in this name anymore’. They went on preaching. Right?! They arrested them.

"So it is not enough to say, well, if you do what the Government say not to do, then we have the power to arrest you. Arrest! That Pastor was not the first person to do what Government said don’t do. When I heard of it, I didn’t judge him because what if he was praying and that was the guidance he got?"

Pastor Chris who stated that those who arrest Pastors are in more danger than they can imagine, added that Pastors are not ordinary people.

He said;

“Let me tell you, it is not everyone that will take some of the steps that we might take. Not everyone. The Holy Spirit knows exactly how He wants things done. It’s up to Him. What I’m always saying is that, anybody who assaults a pastor is in danger.

“He is in more trouble than the Pastor. Pastors are not ordinary people. If you like you can call them ordinary men, that is up to you, but the Spirit that works with them, when that Spirit is fighting you, nobody can help you. No amount of prayer, no one can help you.

“It is only people who say they are Christians that fight ministers of the gospel. Others when they know, they remove their hands, He is a pastor. They shift away, but the one that is a Christian is bold, he enters the church. So, if you are a pastor and they assault you. Don’t feel bad, you are not the first, don’t feel bad. But, for the rest pray for your pastors, remember to pray for them. Never condemn a pastor. Never. Don’t ever do it. Don’t do it. Don’t join those who do it. Don’t! Keep your mouth to yourself.”

I can't believe I actually read 3/4 of this write up.

Politics / Re: Buhari's Picture Doctored To Add Face Masks To Deceive Nigerians by Princemichael93: 8:54pm On Mar 27, 2020
ceejayclas:
A photo circulating on Facebook in Nigeria appears to show President Muhammadu Buhari shaking hands with the nation’s Code of Conduct Bureau Chairman Mohammed Isa while both men are wearing face masks — a seeming flouting of precautions during the novel coronavirus pandemic. This is not what happened. The image was doctored using an old photo, taken long before the pandemic.
The image was used in several Facebook posts, including this one by Scannews, which has been shared more than 400 times since it was published on March 21, 2020.

AFP has debunked multiple Facebook posts from Scannews in the past.

In this post, the text accompanying the image called on Nigerian health officials to educate the president on precautionary measures against the spread of the virus that has claimed nearly 20,000 lives since it emerged in the Chinese city of Wuhan in December 2019, as reported here by AFP.

The text reads: “Buhari: What is the role of his doctors and officials of the Federal Ministry of Health? You cover your nose, but shake hands. They should properly educate President Muhammadu Buhari on the precautionary measures to be taken.”

The image also appears in posts shared here, here and here on Facebook, here on Instagram, and here and here on Twitter, alongside a similar claim.

But the photo has been doctored. AFP ran a reverse image search and traced the original photo, which does not include face masks. It was shot during an event in May 2019, months before the start of the pandemic.

In a news report published May 27, 2019, Nigerian newspaper The Punch captioned the photo: “Buhari receives asset declaration form from Chairman of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB), Prof. Muhammad Isa.” This photo was slightly cropped, but an uncropped version can also be found in a Facebook post published by Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity Femi Adesina.

A side-by-side comparison of the two images shows the viral image has been manipulated to add masks to both Buhari and Isa’s faces.

Key phrases such as “Code of Conduct Bureau”, and “Asset Declaration Form for Public Officers” that were written in bold letters on the cover of the document held by the two men in the original photo were blacked out in the doctored version.

With Nigeria’s number of confirmed COVID-19 cases rising to 46, including one death, as of March 25, 2020, the nation’s centre for disease control urges Nigerians to adopt the use of “no-touch greetings” as a form of social distancing to reduce the spread of the virus.

Just take a look at some idiots jubilating on this thread! A very common characteristic of IPOB criminals.

For example , take a look at one Kingsley Moghalu, who on twitter, said, Boko Haram has defeated the Nigerian army.
And I wondered how someone who should have Nigeria at heart, a patriot, a presidential candidate could utter such!

I'm glad Nigerians rebuked him and I'm also happy that we dodged a bullet

An image which circulated on Iranian media in the aftermath purporting to show Quds commander Qassem Soleimani's hand after the strike in the early hours of Friday.

Two officials from the Iran-backed People's Mobilzation Forces (PMF) said Soleimani's body was torn to pieces in the attack and a senior politician said his body could only be identified by the ring he wore on his left hand.

The ring bears strong similarities to the ruby ring worn on Soleimani's left hand in other photos.

It's like the northern politicians want their own country and yet want to continue funding it with resources from other parts of the country. They want an Islamic republic but they are not willing to let go of the resources from the southern part of the country. I think it might be time for all Nigerians to have their say on whether or not we want to continue with this nonsense. We need to put an end to states operating like sovereign countries within our country. We cannot have a constitutional democratic, secular federal republic and within it, an Islamic republic in the north! Maybe it's time for a national referendum on our unity!

Why are the northerners always afraid of dividing this country. So you can have Islamic country where government funds are used to renovate mosques and cemeteries

Nonsense

What rubbish is this now? What nonsense will we not see in this rubbish country.
Imagine a local vigilante arresting a Police officer in a hotel where he went to have his private time and privacy.

This people should stop this madness, as no region has a monopoly of madness.

The greatest irony is that these laws are meant for their poor masses, not the elites.

What of their politicians that carry four small girls to hotel, will they cough one bit? Never

If they feel they want to implement their Sharia law, let us all divide and every region to your tent, so that nobody will be bordered about what the others are doing.

I have said it, the proponents of Sharia and full Islamic tenets should push for and Islamic country, where Shari and Islam will be implemented 100% without interference.

Ever since Buhari took over power, the proponents of Islam and Sharia are firing from all angles. From the CJN now to this Hisbolah vigilante.

In this 21st century where people are discussing how to settle in Mars, look at the things we are prioritising.

Lord Lugard just merged Progress and backwardness, and the resultant effect is stagnation which is equal to Nigeria.
The last paragraph is Nigeria in summary
