Omg why are people talkin
about never gettin tattoos as if
it's like a death sentence or summin?
Wut negativity? I don't c none!!
I've got 2 special tats. The first is a lioness
head on the right side of ma lower back.
I got it cos I'm a LEO and I'm a lioness in body
and soul. I'm strong, I fight, I rule!!! It best
describes me. The second one is a hibiscus vine
running from ma left rib cage to the middle of
ma lower back. This I got cos I love the flower
and becos it signifies summin to me I'd rather not
put up here. Tattoos shud not be regretted if u
thot well before u got them, jus like anything else
in the world!!! cheesy cheesy

and 3 on each ear lobe. I've always wanted a nose

Is that "you" to me personally or a general "you"?
I'm quite aware of consequences and alla that.
I've got no problem with takin full responsiblity
for any thing I put ma hands into.

Family / Re: Pregnancy Before Marriage by PrincessMo(f): 12:56am On Apr 28, 2008
lol, abstainance,
well, let's put that aside for the moment.
Talkin about protection, shit happens yo!
Condoms rip, pills are missed, and such and such.
If a "mistake" happens, I believe it was meant
to be. I agree that people MUST be responsible.
Now back to abstainance, I'd be a fat hypocrite
if I preach it lol, so no comment there.
Family / Re: Making Love Before One's Wedding by PrincessMo(f): 12:47am On Apr 28, 2008
I don't see no problem with it.
Personally what I find indecent is
boy-hopping. I've been with one guy
for a VERY long time and it's only him I
be doin. I don't cheat on him, I don't crave
another,  jus him. Stayin faithful to one partner
I say is more important!
It reduces your risk of gettin the HIV virus and other
STDs, unwanted pregnancies (because well if u serious
with one dude for a long time, I'm sure u musta
talked about what would be done in the case of a
pregnancy . . . me and ma man do), etc.
Family / Re: How Necessary Is Marriage? by PrincessMo(f): 12:13am On Apr 28, 2008
The reason for gettin married shouldn't be for
havin babies or because u're being pressured.
I want to get married because I'm willing to commit my
body and entire being to another human being without
reserve. Not everyone has to be married!
Two people can be happy, have children if
they wish and have a lasting, powerful relationship
without being "married". It's what's right for who.
Fashion / Re: Underarm Hair On Girls - A Question Of Choice Or Just Plain Nasty? by PrincessMo(f): 11:59pm On Apr 27, 2008
Men shud shave too!!
Family / Re: Pregnancy Before Marriage by PrincessMo(f): 11:54pm On Apr 27, 2008
Betta to raise a child outside a marriage if the marriage is gunno be
traumatic, Ever thot of that? All I was tryna say there is that I don't
believe that two people shud be forced to get married because they
have a baby on the way.

Also, it isn't a question of whether or not ma daughter gun get pregnant.
I don't know if that's gunno happen. All I'm sayin is that if it does, I wudn't
call it a disgrace and throw her out like many parents do, mine included!

Family / Re: Pregnancy Before Marriage by PrincessMo(f): 11:31pm On Apr 27, 2008
I became passionate about this whole "omg what
a disgrace" thing when one of ma friends got pregnant
for her boyfriend. Instead of people minding their
EFFING BUSINESS or being of sum help, all they did
was criticize and bad mouth. She decided to keep her baby
(I SAY BRAVO TO HER!!), she decided not to get married to
her boyfriend just yet (actually they agreed to wait a while).
They're taking care of the baby together, tho they not married.
They gunno get married later if the love's still there.
It really isn't as bad as people blabber about. It's your business
how u want your life. All this talk about reducing "chances" makes
me wunna throw up and as mamaput rightfully put it, the
word "stepfather" isn't there for no reason. DAMN!
And tho I do not pray that ma own daughter wud get pregnant in her
teenage years, I wouldn't throw her out if it happens. NEVER!!!
Keep open minds people!!!
Family / Re: Pregnancy Before Marriage by PrincessMo(f): 11:26pm On Apr 27, 2008
I used to say that I wunna get married VERY
young (btwn 19 and 22), enjoy maself with ma
husband for couple of years and then start havin
babies. Now I actually don't care about the timing.
So if a surprise baby comes BEFORE I get married,
I see it as a blessing rather than a disgrace.
People that look at it as a disgrace are giving themselves
headache, I agree with mamaput!! That's not the
worst that cud happen to a gurl these days.
Culture / Re: Are You Proud To Be A Nigerian? by PrincessMo(f): 10:47pm On Apr 27, 2008
I'm proud to be NIGERIAN but highly embarassed
and saddened by the continious downhill fall that
our country's economy and other areas always
experience. We like to think that we are developing.
I say we are STAGNANT and not moving anywhere!!
Our day is coming, the day serious people take over
and do serious things is coming!!!

No matter what I'm proud of ma Nigerian heritage
and I always put the fact that I'm Nigerian first before
talking about my South African heritage or being born
in France because I feel more connected to Nigeria.
I lived there, drank the water, ate the food, learned the languages.
I can't deny that I'm Nigerian!!!! LONG LIVE NIGERIA!!! wink
Health / Dealing With Dyslexia And Other Learning Disorders In Nigeria by PrincessMo(f): 10:31pm On Apr 27, 2008
I've got two younger brothers both of whom are dyslexic and have got ADHD.
These are two very serious learning disorders than can hinder a child from
learning like his peers.

For those who don't know:

Dyslexia is a specific learning difficulty that mainly affects reading and spelling. Dyslexia is characterized by difficulties in processing word-sounds and by weaknesses in short-term verbal memory; its effects may be seen in spoken language as well as written language.  The current evidence suggests that these difficulties arise from inefficiencies in language-processing areas in the left hemisphere of the brain which, in turn, appear to be linked to genetic differences.

ADHD stands for Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder. This disorder leaves a lot of kids acting on impulse and being unable to concentrate on the task at hand. Major symptoms of the disorder include hyperactivity, impulsivity, and inattention.

I know that there are SO MANY kids in Nigeria that have this disorder (my brothers used to be part of that group till we moved out of the country) and because there is little (if any) provision for kids with special needs, these kids end up not learning, being written off by impatient teachers and ending up living meaningless lives (unless God intervenes).

I haven't been to Nigeria in a while and I would like to know if people know about these disorders (that are only 2 on the list of many other leaning disorders that a lot of people have) and what is being done to help kids with them. If nothing's being done yet, do yall have any ideas? I've got loads and I would love to share my ideas with whoever is willing to contribute to this thread. I think that is very important and should be a VERY big part of the whole Education for All campaign.

CHEERS EVERYBODY!!  smiley

Family / Re: What Level Of Education You Would Love Your Husband To Have? by PrincessMo(f): 9:51pm On Apr 24, 2008
We've all been brainwashed that degrees
matter so much, in truth they don't, NOT FOR ME ANYWAY.
I don't believe that his or my level of education will
make a happy home so I don't really care.
As has been proven by many successful people today,
u don't have to have a masters degree or any degree for
that matter, to be successful in life. I jus believe that ma
man shud have a successful career, with or without a degree.
HOLLA!!
Romance / Re: Should A Man Be Taller Than His Girl? by PrincessMo(f): 9:37pm On Apr 24, 2008
Some people's posts seem so closed minded to me.

1. "Ma man shud be taller so I can feel protected"
PROTECTED FROM WUH? and jus cos a man's taller doesn't mean
he can protect u from wuteva u think he's gunno protect u from.

2. "Taller men are just more manly"
HAHAHAHA!! From personal experience that's crap talk
and wishful thinking!

I'm 5'8. My ex boyfriend was 6'5. The height difference
bothered me and that's wen I realized that taller guys
infact do not appeal to me as much as shorter guys.
Ma new boyfriend is 5'6. I feel perfect with him!!
Men don't have to be taller than their gurlfriends. It's just another silly
norm like men supposing to be the ones to earn more money than their
wives (ma mom earns everything we own, so HAH!!)

, and I don't have to bend over to kiss him!! kiss

Romance / Re: Ladies What Comes To Your Mind When A Guy Says-'hi' by PrincessMo(f): 3:14pm On Apr 24, 2008
Depends on ma mood,
Usually when a guy says hi, I jus say hi
back while thinking "What's this gunno be?"
I don't judge immediately that he's gunno
chat shit unless he's daft enuff to make it so
bloody obvious from the first second,
Romance / Re: What Do You Call D Person You Love? by PrincessMo(f): 2:36pm On Apr 24, 2008
I call him "babe" and he calls me "babe" too,
that's the most common,
I call him the short form of his name a lot too, Just
because his full name is too long to say all the time.
