All My Salary going to him ![]()

The last time we saw Harry Redknapp in the news in a big way was in 2018 when he was the winner of reality show I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here (along with untold interviews through his car window), but there’s a new rumor floating around that’s as tantalizing and juicy as Harry himself. According to ESPN, the former Tottenham Hotspur manager has been linked with a return to management for the first time since he left Birmingham in 2017 — and it’s with the Nigerian national team. Good old ‘Arry is reportedly wanted by the Nigerian Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports to take over for current manager Gernot Rohr, who is the middle of a disputed process to extend his contract which expires in June. There’s an expectation that Rohr will receive and possibly sign an extension within the next week, but if things were to fall through, Redknapp is apparently being lined up to take over the Super Eagles as they head into a rescheduled African Cup of Nations year, as well as World Cup 2022 qualifying. If appointed, this wouldn’t be the first time he’s managed a national team. Back in 2016, he was named interim manager of Jordan and managed them in two 2018 World Cup qualifiers — an 8-0 win over Bangladesh and a 5-1 defeat to Australia. The source article makes it sound as though Redknapp is only a contingency plan in the event that things with Rohr really go south, and all parties expect Rohr to agree to a new deal within the next couple of days. But come on — who among us wouldn’t love to see Harry Redknapp wearing a Nigeria tracksuit and telling players such as Victor Osimhen, Wilfrid Ndidi, and Alex Iwobi to “fackin’ run around a bit”? I enthusiastically raise my hand. https://cartilagefreecaptain.sbnation.com/2020/5/26/21271010/premier-league-news-tottenham-hotspur-former-manager-harry-redknapp-return-nigeria#comments https://www.espn.com/soccer/nigeria-nga/story/4100279/nigeria-racing-to-re-sign-gernot-rohr-amid-links-with-harry-redknapp

Smartchoiice:What's your definition of Stupiid? Because i can unequivocally state that your messages so far are synonymous to it. It's a Saturday morning, quit trolling and find an Owambe to attend. |
Smartchoiice:So you would rather be concerned with the innocent actions of the lady in question than the con artist who is a wolf in sheep clothing? If you have nothing of note to contribute, i would suggest you abstain from showcasing undiluted ignorance. |
Binikingdowm:You're a staunch Messi fanboy, You'd rather see him win the balon d'or than Barcelona lift the champions league!!! Glory Hunter. If people like you were supporting barca before Guardiola era, Ronaldinho would still be here!!! |
Binikingdowm:Go to the messi fanboy thread, this one here is for FC BARCELONA |
Binikingdowm:Where in my comments did i say he should be relegated to the bench? I would implore you to go through the message again. Let me break it down for you, Messi is currently a Key player in the squad and the team has quite rightly been built around him, but we are entering a new phase and need someone that would take us to the next glory days, we need to effectively ease him out of the team doesn't mean benching him. It means reducing the amount of play and passage that goes through him, Our over reliance on him will not end well like we have seen. I stopped reading your post when you said he has 5-7 years more, if you really do believe that then you're in delusion and i have nothing else to say. |
Binikingdowm:If you don't have anything to counter my points, kindly continuing wallowing in utter "fanboyism" and keep away from my mention. Thanks for your understanding. |
moshino:You're either deluded or you just choose today to be quite ignorant. No one in their right senses wants to stay in this forsaken entity called Nigeria. If i had my way, i would have been out of here a long time ago. Be rest assured tho, my children will not call this country a home. |
I know this wouldn't be a popular opinion here, but people who know me know i absolutely don't care. I really do think we need to start easing Messi out of the team and need to relegate Suarez to a super sub option. Arthur and De jong are the future of this team and should be built around them, we've absolutely no business starting Suarez when it means hampering the productivity of Greizmann by shifting him to the LW. Defensively, Pique and Busquets are not what we need against top teams as we have seen over the past two years. We need to swiftly move on from them and utilize the potentials in our youngsters. Those two might seem capable in games where there are little to no pressure, but are quite a liability when we face the real deals. |
Yeye dey smell, Is she worth celebrating? ![]() We should sell this whole country to the highest foreign bidder, divide the money equally among ourselves (obviously some morons will still cheat us) . So we can find our square root individually. That is the only way forward!!!! We aren't independent!!!! I have not the slightest of hope for this country!!! |

bykebyke:How Nice of You to start Changing Ringtone, I don't remember you singing this song back in 2015 about Rakitic. When I said Paulinho is better than What we currently have, You argued otherwise(Which Says a lot actually). Rakitic kept Misplacing passes and he is damn slow at least with Paulinho we have someone who is a ball winner and quite a Technical Player. You foresaw nothing of note, You were part of the bandwagon calling for the head of Enrique, now that he is gone we are actually worse off. Valverde takes the blame here, how can you try a new tactic against the best team in the World, it felt like the Players were Sulking. What was it You Foresaw again? You Seem to Change Prophecies quite a lot. You were in the Sell Neymar team, then you changed it to You only said we should Sell Neymar then get a Controlling Midfielder.(Which controlling midfielder is available now? factor that with Suarez decline) You are Everything in this thread but a seer, You are tactically Blind actually and a glory hunter too. |
bykebyke:Matic, Vidal, and Messi are around the same age as Paulinho, they haven't declined rapidly like Rakitic is currently doing, so your first point is gibberish at best since players don't decline physically at the same Age. Last time I checked Paulinho has been very Good for the Brazil NT. Selling Neymar and Getting a Controlling Midfielder of Barca's quality? Tell me which Controlling Midfielder Suits that Narrative and is Currently on the Market. Stop jumping to Conclusions, No one is trying to Justify Paulinho's signing, Hell even the Board can't unveil him until they complete the signing of Coutinho and Dembele. The only Consolation is he is better than what we have presently. |
bykebyke:Like we saw yesterday, Rakitic has lost his legs, Sergi Roberto and Paulinho aren't in the same league and they aren't even identical Player. You are quite deluded if you think a Midfield of Rakitic and Roberto will win us the League. If I Remember Clearly you were one of those Glory Hunters(Self Acclaimed Saints) that were championing for Neymar to be Shipped out because he was a snake , you do have a disgusting reputation for illogical Reasoning. |
google1:Or we Could look at it this way At 29, we are getting a player at his Peak. since you brought it up which Attainable Young Ball winning midfielder would you suggest? |
I miss the days when this thread had mature discussions, Not even one person has given a reason why they think Paulinho is a bad buy. So many glory hunters here. Now whenever I come to this thread I either see Someone Rubbishing Barca and Worshiping Messi or Calling Neymar a Snake, Learn to View from Other peoples POV, it really Helps. We need a Box to Box Mf in this team someone in the vein of Vidal and Kante, if any of Brazil's qualifiers are to go by then Paulinho is quite okay although the quoted price is gibberish. Hoping to see something like this when the Season starts proper. Ter Stegen Vidal Pique Umtiti Alba Busquets Paulinho Countinho Dembele Messi Suarez. 4-1-4-1. |
scantee:It was the right sub!!! Rakitic was Culpable for both goals ![]() |
weedtaker:Casemiro scored na ![]() |
Cnuts that didn't last long ![]() |

Victek66:Thanks. |
Victek66:I use Tecno l8+. Which service provider offers that? |
Victek66:Was Really Pissed, wanted to subscribe so I can stream the Madrid Match, had to shell out 5h for 3gb. ![]() |
Is this why they discontinued the #100 1gb weekend plan .Now I have to go to Glo weekend Plan ![]() |
Get IN. ![]() Up Arsenal ![]() |
bykebyke:I fancy our chance against Monaco, the number of times city sliced their defence was up to 6 in the second half. With MSN we would go through. Athletico would be a boring game, and we would still loose. I want an Attacking team like Monaco and Dortmund. |
bykebyke:Pheeew. I almost had a Cardiac arrest there. Abeg no put that kind statement here. ![]() |
bykebyke:You didn't give any reasonable reply, you were just Ranting about Nothing. What has Sampaoli achieved in Club football to make him the Ideal Coach for Barça? This is not a Minor setback it's a dent on his CV that would take another year to repair, remains to be seen if it will be at Barça. |
