Now, if you know the country is in a bad way and you only manage to scrape by, why have kids you can't look after in the long run in case of emergency? Unlike the one who has few or no kids compared to the one with loads of kids, who do you think is gonna suffer the most from the rubbish economy?` We understand you but doing Jeg period those children have always been there. I think that's what is good for them anyway, since they decided to reward Jeg evil for his good despite what he did for them. Let them carry their cross |

I laughed so hard To be sincere with you, I was scared when I heard he is traveling to ivory Coast to watch the ball live I believe his handlers should advise him properly. Unless he said otherwise. ekineme: The best time for Government to step in is now, Things are gradually spinning out of control, You won't understand the frustration that set in when faced with reality that what you earn monthly can't even take care of your basic needs. The minimum wage review is taking too long, The stomach doesn't understand patience. If people in Niger where food is relatively cheap are protesting what is the hope of a common man in places like Port Harcourt, Lagos or Abuja? I was telling one of my customer about an hour ago that Nigerians are too peaceful, that I was expecting mass protest to hit the street by now. Am in Lagos things is really getting out hands now may be they are afraid of Tinubu boys here. Can you imagine a plate of food I used to buy 300 to 400 is now 800 and not talking about canteen this is just road side ones. Honestly it is not easy here. Let see if they will continue like this without a protest. |
Car Talk › Re: How Much Do You Spend On Car Fuel Weekly by Princewell2012(m): 6:48pm On Feb 05, 2024 |
lozanni: Most Lagosians living on the mainland, but work on the Island spend, on the average, 30k per week as fueling costs. Many have resorted to leaving their rides at home and joining the blue rail line which is faster and can reduce commuting costs to about 10k per week. Also, many are on the Gotv package now where they go for the cheaper packages of between 3k to 6k per month. Many who are on NEPA's prepaid meter billing system are also cost conscious now as they don't leave the lights in unoccupied rooms on and have changed their bulbs to low energy bulb, use more recent electrical appliances, refrigerators and Air conditioners, that consume less power. For those still on estimated billing system, sorry is your second name. Also Generators, when used, are usually on between 8pm to 11pm to allow children do their homework and other chores, listen to the news and also cool stored soup and stew in the refrigerator so that the do not go sour when NEPA disappoints. The above, and many more, are strategies the working class are using to cope with the tough times. we are on the estimated bill. This January they brought 96, 000 without even seeing the light. We are begging them to come and remove the wire. Buhari said we are going to miss him, we all thought it is a lie. Many people said God fobid that we should Miss Buhari. This man is not even up to one year in office. Believe me Nigerians in a deep soup. |

nairalanda1: They all did...the oil boom of the 1970's made oil the main the main. At the end of the 1980's, everything rose and depended on the oil price.
By the start of 1993, we had a deficit.
Nigeria's problem is simple. We are not a exporter of manufactured goods and service. We rely on oil, so when oil crashes, our economy crashes. When oil shoots up, we have to pay the debt back once again.
Even before oil, we relied on cocoa, groundnut and palm oil, and tin, and gold, and a host of other stuff. Nice, but we sold the thing to industrial nations, who processed it for larger profits.
The question I always wonder of our leaders, (which is why I am not impressed with any one of our leaders since independence) is simple....what have we done with the resources we have? The truth is, we have not processed them into goods that we can sell at a price we set.
THat is why as far as I am concerned, Nigeria has never had good leaders.
(NO, I am not here to abuse you or anyone for the party they support, or defend any leader. Every voting period we hope the new guy would be different. They ain't.).
Nigeria is a resource dependent nation, and it needs to break free of its resource dependency. God bless you you are the only one that made a valid point here. Our leaders have failed us simple. I don't know why I have the believe that Obi would have made a difference. |

Tallesty1: What I find crazy in all these things is that educated Christians who have access to the same Bible will still foolishly believe him.
The fruits offering found its fulfillment in Jesus. After being raised from the dead, he became the first fruit of those who had died. So, the first fruit offering, as it was in the Old Testament, is an adumbration of what is to come—a shadow of what will take place in the future. The fulfillment was in Christ.
Christians are not required to pay first fruit offerings because what it symbolized is God's harvest of souls. Christians are now Christ's first fruits offering to God according to the Bible. Hmm this is deep. |

psychologist: This story no clear
How can lastma arrest notorious robbers?
Eko for show
Modified for those quoting me
The post have it that, they were been chased by people, and they were driving recklessly to evade arrest
How did lastma arrest them? Did they chase them with their Vehicle? Did they throw spikes on the road, did they shot at them? Did they jump into the robbers bus and forced the driver to stop
Just explain to me, how a lasma did not just arrest a robber but a notorious one?
Where did they get such skill? Hmm what I can deduce from here is that those lasma were following due to the tip off given to them, They communicated their vehicle numbers to their colleagues and they eventually get hold of them inside the hold up. |

Happy Christmas to all. Well after carefully reading all the pro and cons. I will liken this to a war country where people are dying like chicken. Whoseever leaves that country at that moment is not to be blamed. Even citizens of US can japa if things gets out of hand. He that leaves and run away will leave to fight for tomorrow. This morning I saw citizens of Mexico leaving in their thousands to us border. So if Nigeria is good why should I leave. Can you imagine my nepa bill higher than my house rent? What if I tell you that those who refuse to japa could also be the weak one's. |
