Envy is a terrible character flaw that everyone who has accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour must completely give up. Envy can lead to the murder of the one being envied or the murder of his or her dreams. Many polygamous families are wrapped up in envy. The mark of a place where there is envy is confusion and evil. James 3:16 says:
“For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.”
As much as it lies within your power, avoid such places, because the Spirit of God will not stay in a place where there is confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33). In such places, people go to any extent to discredit, poison, afflict and destroy their own out of envy. If you are driven by envy, you are on a satanic mission: a self-destructive mission that will definitely lead to regret someday. Today, some churches are envy-driven. Do you know that some pastors go to set up their own ministries out of envy? The foundation of such ministries is faulty from the beginning, and if you dare to check, God is completely out of it. Are you driven by envy? What are you doing as a result of envy? Repent and amend your ways today before it is too late.
 
There is a great price the envious always has to pay. This price could have a physical, emotional and spiritual component. The price for envy can be very costly! You would be amazed at what that tiny envy in your heart towards your neighbour can take out of you. Envy can erode the blessings of the envious. If you do not want to lose your blessings, completely abstain from it. Korah, Dathan and Abiram paid dearly for the envy that led them to rebel against their leader - Moses (Numbers 16:1-3). God publicly set them aside to show everyone that they had done the wrong thing. God, who earlier appointed them as leaders under Moses, openly discredited them. Thereafter, the ground swallowed them up together with their households. Envy made sure their generation was terminated. That envy in your heart can terminate your future generations! Greed and envy are two tools the devil uses to destroy future generations and destinies! Gehazi’s greed brought leprosy to his generation (2 Kings 5:27), while the envy of Korah, Dathan and Abiram completely wiped out their generations. Check your heart! We should also consider Deuteronomy 6:16 , which instructs the
Israelites to be careful that they do not to tempt the Lord.
Likewise, Malachi 3:15 refers to the wicked who tempt God with
their evil lifestyles. Jesus even quoted the Old Testament
Scriptures when He warned others not to tempt the Lord (e.g.,
Matthew 4:7 and Luke 4:12 ).
Today we mostly use the term tempt specifically to mean to
“solicit to do evil.” However, the term has not always been quite so
narrowly interpreted. In the Bible this word conveys that idea at
times, but at other times it means to “put to the test.” The context
helps to determine which meaning is intended.
James clearly stated, “God cannot be tempted by evil ” . The phrase “by evil” is important because it highlights the
point James was trying to make. This clearly indicates that God
cannot be enticed to commit evil.
In the other passages above that referred to tempting God, the
writers were using the term to mean we must not put God to the
test. Here is the line of reasoning:
1. God has said He will judge sin.
2. When we sin, we are putting God to the test to see if He will
respond to our sin by doing what He has said He will do.
3. We must not “test” the extent of God’s grace but instead obey
what He has told us to do.
Now, along with this question of whether or not God can be
tempted, another potential dilemma arises, which is often stated like
this:
1. James 1:13 tells us God cannot be tempted by evil.
2. According to Luke 4, Matthew 4, and Hebrews 4:15 , Jesus
was tempted by evil.
3. Therefore, Jesus was not God or this is a contradiction.
There are two keys to understanding this mystery. First, we must
keep in mind the hypostatic union of the two natures of Christ.
That’s a pretty fancy way of saying that Jesus was fully man and
fully God at the same time. Jesus had a fully human nature (but
sinless), and He had the nature of God.
Second, it is important to understand the difference between internal
enticement and external enticement. When Jesus was tempted, His
temptation came from an external source: Satan (Luke 4:2 ;
Matthew 4:1 ). When we are tempted, this comes right from within
our own hearts due to our own sinful natures, although the
temptation to sin can be kindle by something external. James 1:14
tells us, “But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his
own desires and enticed.”
So could Jesus sin or not? This question has been debated by
theologians for centuries, and although all true Christians agree that
Jesus did not sin, they do not agree on whether or not He could
have sinned. Other than agreeing that Jesus did not sin, Answers in
Genesis does not hold a position on this debate. We would urge you
to carefully and prayerfully study Scripture and consult with your
local church on this subject.
There are three common views on the subject. Some hold the
impeccability position (Latin non posse peccare ). This view
states that Christ could not have sinned, and thus was not even
tempted, during the “temptations.” Others hold the peccability view
(posse non peccare ), meaning that He could have sinned. A
third position attempts to find middle ground and is based on Christ
having both a human nature and divine nature. This view says that
in His human nature, He could have sinned, but in His divine
nature, He could not.

1.SPIRITUAL EQUALITY.
Numbers12:1-10 speaks of when Miriam
and Aaron almost led a rebellion against Moses based on their assumption of hearing from God in addition to Moses. Thus, they thought Moses should not be the main visionary to give overall direction to the people.

Though it is true that the Spirit of God
speaks to all who are children of God
(Romans 8:14-16) the guidance for a
church is not promised to anyone except to the senior leader and, under their direction, the elders of a church.
2.MULTI-HEADED SYNDROME.
In Numbers 12:1-8 Aaron and Miriam
were tempted to be equal with Moses
and be co-leaders because they were
older than Moses and judged him
according to the flesh and not by the call of God. (AGE IS NOT THE BOTTOM LINE IN SENIOR LEADERSHIP.) Having more than one senior head quickly becomes a TWO-HEADED MONSTER. I have never seen dual headship work for more than a few years. When "No. 2" men aspire to be"No. 1" men it divides churches and gets ugly! Some "No. 2" men are not gifted enough in leadership to ever be considered "No. 1" men. It takes humility and obedience to the Lord to recognize the limits of one's leadership and measure of authority (Rom. 12:3-4).
3.SUPER SPIRITUAL.
Some think they are more spiritual than
the senior pastor.This is usually because
all they want to do is jump into the river
and soak. They want deep teachings and long, passionate worship, but don't care about evangelism, new people or
practical management issues. They only
selfishly care about themselves and want to experience an exclusive believer's service every Sunday. These people hide behind super-spiritual talk and always say they are inspired by the Holy Spirit when they speak and give direction to the church. They subtly bring correction to the pastor and leaders in their conversations and pray accusatory prayers against leadership, but their main agenda is to commander church government and give direction to the church.

The simple gift of prophecy as described
in 1 Corinthians 14:1-3 doesn't include
directing other believers or the church
but only involves edification,exhortation
and comfort. Since God is a God of order
He will give overall direction primarily to those who are part of the leadership.
Satan comes as an angel of light through those who hide behind "spirituality" to point the congregation towards themselves and their "superior
spirituality" instead of submitting to the
leading of the Lord through the senior
pastor and elders serving with them.
