Wise ones are already on the fence waiting for the bus at N5 station.

Someone solely sold 10m plus units today an you think someone with that weight of unit is uninformed?

The market movers are correcting the stock price to load more hence 5naira busstop
and someone bought d 10m +

What ever it is, FBNH has just started don't stand in the way of a moving train. The market is pricing in a lot of info, UBA at N8 where do you expect FBN to be? If you sold the analysts are more than willing to buy.

Bro. Analysts at AFRINVEST who are one of the top investment houses in the country are advising their clients to sell the FBNH as shown in the attachment below. They place its intrinsic value at less than N4.5 despite the things we see and warns that it will loose more than 10% of its value in a jiffy.

I saw all these b4 i decided and ported to dangoteflour. I have given Dangote a task grin . A return of N20m+ expected else i sack him.
dey also advised to sell Nestle, but see d price of Nestle even during d time of grand papa bear it was still high...one other investment house rated same FBNH as buy and they valued it at #7+, G.O Ihedioramma valued FBNH at #20+ and im with him on dis...so only time will tell who is right or wrong.God bless

Chibuking81:
Please where exactly did you base your point. Is it because the current bull favour FBNH, shocked cool
Based on their current earning performance:

1.Dangote has EPS of 53 kobo in Q1 2017 result,
while FBNH Q1 2017 EPS was in the region of 30 kobo plus.
2.Minus/plus FBNH will be targeting final year EPS of 120 kobo, while Dangote flour will be targeting 220 kobo.

Who has a better position of paying higher dividend this time around?
lets wait only time will tell.I will remind u of this post some day.

I can see many people are buying FBNH on JIJO terms or by speculation.

Let me give you an eye-opening calculation. FBNH 2016 Year End EPS was about 39k. This was after making a provision of about 240b for doubtful loans. Remember that these provisions are not just thrown into the Lagoon, they are still in the bank's books.

Now here is the maths:- Without any provisions, FBNH reported earnings after tax of over #250b translating to EPS of over #7! Incomparable in the entire banking sector for now! Of course, there will be impairments in business.

But the catch is that we are talking about an Elephant that is capable of shitting #7 for every share. So, as NPLs trend down from the circa 24% high, a greater percentage of that earnings ability will be available as EPS.

I need to make this clear so that when you know the value of what you're buying you won't be jumping in and out with little profit.

Its only a matter of time before FBNH takes its place among the price leaders in the banking sector if not the overall leader. Those who see the real value will position ahead of those who only begin to look when prices begin to move.

Brethren, enough said lest I be accused of monkey hunting for yours truly is over 95% heavy in FBNH.
bros u hav said it all...i hav been saying same thing here when FBNH was still #3 and they were asking me for FACTS,thanks for this analysis...God bless.

Bro,remember that ones food is another mans poison. There are people here who has nothing to do with fbn even if it trades at 10.00 just as i wouldnt near Transcorp even if it trades at 3.00.I am in support of fbn rally because of my fcmb.Fundamentally, its not yet ripe. There are so many stocks out there doing better than fbn currently in price and in fundamentals.Remember that UBA was once 4.00 and fbn 3.00.If you compare the two now, which one has given more returns than the other? yet i have not heared UBA faithfuls boasting.I just want to draw your attention to other stocks when you think fbn is the best for now.

All of us are making money this year.Gud morning bro........
i know there are so many gud stocks out but is just dat the way people talked of FBNH as if by now it will b trading at 1.50k..sir Loco rem im inside ur train heading to km 3.

Oga, I don't know why you want to kill us with this your trophy-win. I remember asking you "why" when you made this post. Just like you, alot of people made post like this and it turned out terrible( let's not mention names).

And please note that asking you "why" then, does not mean one is bereft of foreward-looking information and the hidden potentiial around FBNH. Some of us invested as soon as U.K EKE and Mrs Awosika joined the family and signalled the new strategic direction for FBN, and we loaded more when FXuser drew attention to it around 3.00 some months ago, and we bought more when folks were upset with the 2016FY result at 3.19.

FBNH is a good one but there are many that had done well YTD, starting with the stupid OANDO grin , Stanbic, ASL, UBA, Fidson and May&Baker.

In short, money is being made accross board. grin grin grin
bros u know some guys were discouraging others from buying then...its not a must everyone must invest in a particular stock but discouraging others from buying is what i dont like,u can advise dem to do their DD...do know how many persons missed dis FBNH because they were following some guys advise. Im happy for dat u are in the train, wish u all d best in ur future investments. One love.

I stand to be corrected the Initial Public Offer of GT was in 2001, they later had a public offer in 2004.
The company was listed in 2001.

Kindly do a google search or grab and read the annual report.
bros u are right, i tried 2 delete dis message but didnt know it has been posted.i hav made reserch ,u are very correct infact dey were listed in 1996 which i did not know, pls im sorry for d mix up..thanks for clearification. One love

You are very correct Princkez.
My error in price.
At N10.60 per share then, initial investment of N106, 000 (N50,000) becomes over N2m.
bros im wrong ,u are d one that is correct...i hav found out dey came to d market 2001 to raise fund at #5 and came d second time in 2004 which was sold for #10.60.im sorry for the mix up..thanks.

emmanuelewumi:
He is not correct check page 329 of the current annual report. The initial public offer was in 2001 and it sold for N5.00, I bought during the offer.

The one sold in 2004 was the second coming of GT and Zenith bank to the market just before the N25 billion bank consolidation by Soiudo.

Between the IPO of GTB in 2001 and public offer in 2004.

Gtb gave bonuses thrice.

2002 1 for 4

2003 1 for 5

Just before the public offer in 2004 another bonus of 1 for 3 was given to existing shareholders.

Read more about the share capitalisation history of GT Bank on pg 329.

As a matter of fact 10000 units of GT shares in 2001 would have grown to 71610 units in 2017.

I hope this helps.
yea ,u are right just confirmed dey were listed in 1996, and 2004 ipo was d second time dey came 2 raise funds.thanks bros.

luv ur analysis...dividend alone in GT bank has covered intial investment, you keep records
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Princkez: 8:42pm On May 26, 2017
OakPearl:
Let me begin by stating that you have got the right mindset for your plan as you sound futuristic.
The best investments for your temperament and expectations are in stocks with sound fundamentals and that pay interim and final dividends.

The idea is to not just depend on capital appreciation alone for the growth of your investment, but to earn regular dividends for reinvestment which will give your investment portfolio an assured but aggressive growth.

The following 5 stocks are my recommendation in no specific order of preference:
1. UBA - (Consistent interim & final dividend. Great room for capital appreciation)
2. FBNH - (Fundamentals being worked on by management. Dividend paying with serious room for capital appreciation)
3. ZENITH BANK - (Consistent interim & final dividend. Lots of catching up to do with GTB hence more room for capital appreciation)
4. UCAP - (Their recent success in listing Eurobond & Wealth For Women Fund comes to mind. Very substantial dividend paying culture)
5. DANGOTE FLOUR - (Verifiable progress recorded in turn around project. Huge capital appreciation expected as a consequence of consistent handsome dividend payout in the nearest future)

If you invested N50,000 to buy 10,000 shares of GTB during the public offer in 2004 when it sold for N5.00 per share, your bonus shares would have added and increased your shares from 10,000 to 59,181 shares without spending any more money!
Your N50,000 investested 13 years ago is worth N2,087,905 as at closing price of GTB today - N35.28!
This is without adding all the dividends received in the 13 years period.
You can never go wrong investing as planned sir.
Just keep the focus and you can be sure of a far better tomorrow.

I wish to bookmark this page, for a review of the performance of these stocks in 2-5yrs.
bros GT bank public offer of 2004 was sold at 10.60k...GT bank has neva fallen below #8.00 since it was listed...one love
