Dis is same thing that the pharisees and saducees did, hence they criticise Jesus for healing on sabbath day. Dey would rather watch ppl suffer than healed because of a stupid misinterpretation of a law.. Those same ppl would rescue their animals on sabbath day. Man was never created to be slave to the law, rather laws are given to guide us and make our lives better. There is no direct law in the Bible that forbids blood transfusion.
Must it be direct before you follow?
There may not be direct law that forbids it, but there is/are direct commands in the scriptures that are against it...
Just like there are no direct laws that forbids smoking, there are underlying Principle that echoes the Bible's view of such habit... That's why we need the holy spirit to help teach us and help us understand the truth of the Bible because not all that God expects of us are directly or explicitly spelt out in the scriptures.....

Religion / Re: Can A Christian Man (marry (two (2))wives? Is It A Sin? by prinzfavian(m): 4:05pm On Apr 09, 2018
See, My Brother... Polygamy is a practice only common in Africa and among Muslim believing people. The practice of a man having two or more wives has been practiced almost as long as man has been on earth. So, just because polygamy has been here a long time does that make it Alright? No!
Okay, look at it this way... Sin has been with man longer than polygamy. Is sin alright? No! Just because something has been here a long time does not make it right. For a thing to be right it has to be accepted by God.
Now, What is God’s attitude toward polygamy? His opinion is definitely needed because He instituted marriage in the first place. He made the first man, Adam (Genesis 1:26). He saw that it was not good for him to be alone. He then made a “wife” for Adam. Notice God did not make “wives” for Adam. If He had wanted Adam to have more than one wife, He would have made him more than one. One was enough. God knows best.
Man in his different cultures and traditions has brought many ideas about marriage into the world. Some of man’s ideas agree with God’s plan, Some of man’s ideas do not. This is true with polygamy. Polygamy is a “man-made” idea. It is not in agreement with God’s plan for marriage. Anything that does not agree with what God has done or said is SIN. God’s plan is ONE man and woman (wife) for life (Genesis 2).
There are many examples of polygamy in the Bible.... To get the fact let's examine them...
The first person to be a polygamist was Lamech (Genesis 4:19-24). He lived six generations after Adam. He was a murderer. Nothing good is said about him.

Abraham was also a polygamist (Genesis 16:1-5). His wife, Sarai, was unable to have children. She gave her slave, Hagar, to be Abraham’s wife. Hagar had children for Abraham. Sarah then became jealous of Hagar. This marriage was then full of troubles.

Another polygamist was Esau. He was the firstborn of Isaac and Rebekah. Esau married two Hittite women (Genesis 26:33-34). They caused much grief to Isaac and Rebekah.

In all sincerity, Polygamist marriages affect more than just the man and his wives.
Gideon was a great and brave leader. He had 70 sons from many wives (Judges 8:30-31). What kind of a father could he be to 70 sons? Not the kind that God wants us to be.

King Solomon had 700 wives, princesses, and 300 concubines. His wives turned his heart away from God (1 Kings 11:3). His downfall as a king was a result of his practice of polygamy.

Nowhere in the Bible can we find "polygamy" doing any good. Everything that is said about it shows it causes troubles. That has not changed. Today polygamy still causes many marriage problems for those who practice it. Let us see some Bible principles that teaches against the practice of polygamy.

Genesis 2:23-24 says that a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife. God did not say that man was to be joined to his “wives.” He said that man was to be joined to his wife. That is one and only one!
Paul compares the husband and wife to Christ and the Church:"For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church...(Ephesians 5:23).

In Ephesians 1:22-23 we are told that the church or congregation is the body of Christ. There is only one body (Ephesians 4:4) so there is only one church. A man could have had as many wives as Christ has many churches. But fortunately, Christ has only one church so a man can have only one wife. Nowhere does the Bible speak of a man (one) being over wives (many) and that being right with God.
Matthew 19:3-9 speaks about divorce and Jesus Christ went on to show that God never wanted man (or woman) to divorce. The same is true with polygamy. God does not want a man to have more than one wife. Jesus said that a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh. Jesus spoke of one man and one woman marrying. He said that marriage is made up of one man and one woman. The two make one flesh. When a man has more than one wife he is sinning. God hates Sin.
In 1 Timothy 3:2 we are told that an elder must be the husband of one wife. Why not two or more? If it is a good practice, then why should not a church leader be a polygamist? The reason is that God does not want that kind of a marriage. Those who practice polygamy are sinning in God’s eyes. They cannot be church leaders nor church members. Let us notice some problems with polygamy in the Bible. First, it causes strife and jealousy. We see it in the lives of those who practice it today. Joseph was sold into Egyptian slavery by his brothers because of jealousy from a polygamist marriage. Second, no man can be a proper husband by being a polygamist. Third, he can’t be a proper father as God intended. If a man has many children how can he be a father who brings them up chastening and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4)? Fourth, polygamy causes a man to go away from God rather than closer to God. We should do nothing that causes us to go away from God. What must a polygamist do if he wants to become a Christian? First, he must realize that he is a Sinner. He then must believe in the ransom sacrifice of Jesus Christ and as the son of God (John 3:16; Mark 16:16). Following his belief in Christ, he must repent (Acts 2:38). That means he must get rid of all sin in his life. Including his marriage, he must get rid of all his “wives” but the first one.. (Proverbs 5:18) as this is the only one of all his marriages recognised by God.
Thanks.

That is the concept of marriage, two people becoming one. The bible never said anything against becoming "one" with more than one woman.
Please na, if you're already one with one woman, how can you be one again with another woman without detaching yourself from the first one... And yet, God hates divorce....

Did God really need to send himself to sacrifice himself to save us from himself? Come on, he spoke the universe and everything in it into being.

Did he really need to go through that stress. All it needed was to say the word. If a programmer writes a bad code, it's his duty to debug it.

It defies all logic. Brethren help me understand this.
Hmmm.... This logic is faulty, so let me prove it to you...
First, I'm not a Trinitarian... Hence, for me according to the scriptures God sent his Son, Jesus Christ and not Himself....
So here is my first question to keep the discussion going...
At the bolded part, what word prescisely do you feel he should have said... I need to get that first...

According to Acts 24:15, they will be resurrected as unrighteous and will be taught all they need to know about God along with other righteous one under the rulership of Jesus christ for a 1000years....after this 1000years, the devil who has been imprisoned all thru the 1000years will be released again to test them (Rev 20:3,7,8 )... Those that fail will be destroyed in the Lake of fire along with the devil himself (Rev 20:9,10)... Then the whole earth will be filled with only righteous humans after then. (Rev 21:3)

I dont like commenting on issues like this but ur point made me to;

Now, trust does not grow on trees. Trust is earned bro. People earn trust and not the other way round. Now, people are having issues understanding the bases of relationship and marriage. Yes, privacy is your right even in relationship but cheating on someone is not ur right. U av the right to walk away and not to cheat on ur partner. The world is going crazy by directly and indirectly encouraging cheating.

This is someone he wants to get married to and he has right to know who he wants to get married to. People try to know if they are been cheated on so that they can find out on time and save themselves of unwanted and endless drama. U av heard stories of men who trained their babe in school only to find out at the last minute that the said gf has been cheating and got married to another.

It is important to find out if u safe except the relationship was defined from beginning to be an open relationship. This is not about acting like a modern person. What i dont support is over doing anything but lovers should be one.

My partner and i have access to each other's phones and laptops. There is nothing there. We dont av anything to hide. If ur hands are clean, u wouldnt av issues allowing ur partner check ur phone..

what if this young man is putting his resources, time, emotion and efforts into a relationship with someone who has the plan to marry another man? It is better he finds out now and not later bro.

In sincere relationship, both partners are one. The only thing i told my babe not to check are my business transactions. She is free to use my phone at will.. She also gave me such right...

See, I always tell people, it is not by force to be in a relationship. If u want to enjoy full privacy, dont go into a relationship for god sake. Just remain single so that no one would ask for ur phone. It is that simple...

When i wasnt ready to answer questions such as where are u? who did u call? Who is this? etc, I remained single. I avoided any committed relationship. But when i was ready to compromise privacy, I went into a serious relationship.

If u want to enjoy full privacy, pls, dont go into serious relationship or marriage. Whatever u are hiding from ur partner, explain that to him or her and u both can work on that.

Heart breaks are on the increase becus humans have refused to be sincere. This thing is not hard, if u want to cheat, go ahead and breakup or dont even go into relationship or marriage.

Dear OP

if ur partner is hiding her phone from her, im sorry, she is cheating or about to cheat. Let me just advice u.... Put the relationship on hold for now until u are able to resolve this issue. Never marry a cheat. If u are doing same, u dont av the moral right to judge her then...but if ur hands are clean, and she is not willing to be open to u and be sincere, breakup, seriously, there are good ladies out there. I mean, loyal, honest and serious ones. I wish u all the best.
I would be lying if I say I don't agree with what you said....
Guess I was just looking at it the wrong way...
Thanks for the calm reply, it radiates maturity and experience... I really appreciate that. smiley

In my own opinion, those with trust issues shouldn't bother going into relationships cos it doesn't make sense to keep being insecure for flimsy reasons...
What if she switches off her phone everytime she is with you, how's that a problem? What if she just wants to be with you with no disturbance whatsoever? Why should you even try to collect her phone is the first place for investigative purpose?
Trust her even when she doesn't deserve it otherwise why should you be in a relationship with her in the first place?
Now I'm not trying to defend your fiance here for her acts, or trying to confirm your fears about her, I'm only trying to help you understand what trust means in a relationship...
