A woman who was arrested and detained by the Police in Saudi Arabia for wearing a miniskirt in a trending video shared online has been released.

She was filmed wearing a miniskirt and a crop-top as she strolled through a street (with no one) in a city in Saudi Arabia, the Ridayh police said.

The woman told investigators that the viral video was published on social media without her knowledge.

She has now been released without a charge and the prosecutor's case closed, following an outrage sparked online, Drinosblog reports.

Saudi Arabia requires all women, including foreigners - Muslims and non-Muslims - to wear a loose gown, but the law was clearly not followed in the video.

If it's release will my result be in good condition?

According to Drinosblog source, The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has denied saying that the Federal Government will ban the overseas production of Nigerian movies and music.

Mohammed noted this on Tuesday evening while reacting to an outcry by artistes over reports saying he hinted at the ban when he visited the headquarters of the Copyright Society of Nigeria in Lagos.

During a briefing at the end of a two-day Creative Industry Financing Conference, with the theme ‘Financing the Film, Television and Music Industries,’ held at Eko Hotels, Victoria Island, Mohammed said FG would not tamper with the aspirations and rights of the artistes and producers.

He said, “At COSON, I said that I would work to amend the National Broadcasting Commission’s code to ensure that if a product is designated a Nigerian product, it must be produced in Nigeria. I didn’t say that, henceforth, all music and films would or must be produced in Nigeria.said Drinosblog reporters.

“All I said was that if a programme is designated as a Nigerian content programme, we will amend the code to ensure that it is produced in Nigeria. I didn’t say I’ll ban the production of Nigerian movies and videos overseas.”

The 19-year-old man, who allegedly posed as female sex worker was nabbed in the early hours of Monday,along Kaunda road, Malawi and is currently in the custody of Kanengo Police.

The suspect identified as Van Gomani dressed up like a woman complete with hair extension, stood along the road where he was picked up by a man who thought he was a lady.”They went together and booked a room. It was in that room that the other man noticed that the person he picked is not a lady but rather a fellow man.” a source said.

Sabi Burno was allegedly caught defiling Mistura, 11, in a container on Ibikunle Akintoye Street, Apapa. While Mistura and Yinka attend Methodist Primary School, Randle, Apapa, Mary is a pupil of United Christian Primary School. .

Drinosblog learnt that, The three victims have been admitted to the General Hospital, Apapa, for medical tests. The Togolese’s container-apartment is on an abandoned plot of land. The victims pass through the place to go to school every morning. .

Mistura, who lives with her grandmother, had, while going to school on Thursday, gone into the container around 8am. A landlord, whose house is beside the abandoned land, said he had observed her loitering in front of the container.s aid Drinosblog whilesblowers.

He said, “He has been taking advantage of the girls since he got there about a year ago and I think no one suspected anything. But this morning, around 8am, I was in my house when I saw this girl, who was supposed to be in school, loitering in front of the container. .

She was in her school uniform. Not up to three minutes, the Togolese asked the girl to go in, while pretending to be sweeping. Within a few minutes, he also went in and shut the door.”said Drinosblog whilesblowers.

The landlord said he rushed to Methodist Primary School to report the incident. The school’s head teacher sent a teacher with the landlord to the scene. Burno was caught in the act and was held by the teacher. .

Policemen from the Apapa Police Station, were alerted. The girl was taken to her school and some female teachers checked her private parts and found semen. During interrogation, Mistura confessed that it was not the first time that the security guard slept with her. .

She mentioned the names of her two friends whom Burno had been sexually assaulting as well. Yinka and Mary were invited for questioning, and they confessed that the suspect had been defiling them as well. .

“Yinka said the man had slept with her for more than 10 times. The other girl said he had slept with her twice. A classmate of Mistura and Yinka told police that the two girls always flaunted money in the classroom.Drinosblog Reports.

Mrs Husseina Mohammed, a civil servant in kogi state, has been issued with a query by the state government, for allegedly misinforming the public about the excess salary mistakenly paid into her account. .

The sanction is reportedly coming through the instruction given by the State Auditor General, Alhaji Yusuf Okala, who noted that Mrs Mohammed misinformed the public that she had returned the money to the state treasury even when she did not received any alert to confirm such transactions. .

The Auditor General explained that the officer only returned N1.6M on 3rd July, 2017, out of the N1.8M she claimed to have returned, saying “the information has caused confussion in the system”. .said Drinosblog reporters

He also directed that her salary be put on hold over the wrong information she gave the committee. Meanwhile, the family of Mrs Mohammed have expressed their disappointment, insisting that the allegation against her has brought disgrace to the family. .

It was also gathered from a close family source that Mrs Mohammed has been barred from speaking to the press or risk further punishment from the government. .

It was also learnt from a family source that, the said money was paid to the state coffers, but were surprised that weeks later, the cashier who performed the transaction failed to confirm that a particular digit was missing in the account number which the money was paid in. .

According to Drinosblog reporters, "The husband has not been paid for more than 15 months yet they were honest. This family barely feed three square meal just because of the harsh economy and the non payment of salary in kogi state. Are we supposed to blame them or blame the cashier?

The government should also blame their personnel for this defects instead of suffering an innocent soul when she made the state proud. It is unfortunate that they are getting this at this time instead of being honoured for their honesty.

Going by what is happening, if something of such happens again, people will be scared to come out and return such money because they don’t want to be disgraced," the family source stated. Drinosblog Reports.
