Actress Funke Akindele on Thursday celebrated her stepson actor Benito Bello, Igbere TV reports.
The mother of twins wrote a goodwill message to Benito on Instagram.
Sharing a scene from his movie, she wrote: “My son is a #superstar.Happy birthday Benito. I love you, darling. You will always make us proud in Jesus name. @jjcskillz like father like son.”
Funke’s husband JJC Skillz also celebrated his son.
“Happy birthday to my amazing handsome son @benito.a.bello wow you’re now 17 Very proud of your growth and the man you’re becoming. Lots of love from Dad and the whole #Bellofamily,” he wrote.
Born Abdulrasheed Bello JJC Skillz has three children from his previous relationship.
UK-based Nigerian pastor Matthew Ashimolowo has appointed his first son Tobi Ashimolowo as resident pastor two of Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) in London, Igbere TV reports.
Tobi will be assisting his mother Yemisi Ashimolowo who has been the resident pastor at the church for a long time.
A video posted on Facebook by Church Gist on Sunday showed Ashimolowo making the announcement to the excitement of the congregation.
Ashimolowo, who went through weight loss procedure last year, joked that his family may be retiring him soon.
It was not immediately clear when the appointment was made. However we learnt it was recent.
Tobi is one of Ashimolowo’s two sons. He founded the Vault, a high-end store for men’s wear and accessories.
According to him, he got a pastoral call in 2016, two years after he got married to Toyin Omotayo, a lawyer.
“For years I ran away from ministry as I wanted to pursue other dreams I had, however I surrendered to God in 2016 when I heard the call.
“In that year I was ordained as a minister and I began full time ministry,” he said.
Former Big Brother Naija housemate Ka3na Jones on Tuesday said that she is legally single but the father of her child who she simply calls Mr Jones remains her better half, Igbere TV reports.
The reality star said this on Tuesday while clearing the air on her previous statement about being Miss Ka3na and “not searching”.

Dancer Janemena Piles has revealed what saved her from the sex tape allegation made against her by actress Tonto Dikeh, Igbere TV reports.
In an Instagram post on Sunday, Janemena claimed that her “small boobs” saved her from explaining herself following the accusation.
“When they brought fake tape and picture and said it was me, do you know what saved me from all explanations? My small boobs.
“Dem no dey fake am. I’m super grateful for this body and I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world. I love y’all genuinely for riding with me. The real ones only.”
Janemena and Tonto Dikeh made headlines in September and October over the latter’s messy break-up with Prince Kpokpogri.
Tonto had accused her ex-lover of cheating on her and being a scammer. The mother of one also claimed that her ex-lover had sex tapes with the women he slept with including that of Janemena.
Unimpressed by the manner her name was dragged into the controversy, Janemena threatened to sue Tonto for defamation, demanding the sum of N500 million as compensation for the damages done to her name. Janemena also said she suffered a miscarriage due to the emotional trauma she encountered during the saga.
Veteran actor Olu Jacob on Friday shared loved-up photos with his wife Joke Silva, Igbere TV reports.
The 79-year-old who attended an event at the Glover Memorial Hall in Lagos shared the photos on Instagram.

Actress Lala Akindoju on Monday lamented the death of her loved ones, Igbere TV reports.
In a lengthy post on Instagram, the mother of one said that dealing with the death of a loved one has become a familiar road and it leaves one with a mind full of questions and sometimes numbness.
“Dealing with the passing of a loved one has become such a familiar road…and when you think you know how you’ll feel, you’re never really ready for the mash-up of emotions- pain, anger, gratitude, a mind full of questions… sometimes numbness.
“When one person passes, you surrender and as Yorùbá people say- Ojó á jìnà so ara won. So you stay hopeful that such a painful death won’t happen anytime soon..but life has many curves and turns that we really don’t understand,” she wrote.
Speaking further, Lala stated that death leaves one reflecting on their life and legacy.
“The one good thing is that you are forced to reflect and assess your own life. You ask yourself what will be said of you when you are gone. You ask yourself what legacy you are building and hopefully, you actually start living each day to the fullest, you start living circumspectly and hopefully you become more intentional about making the world a better place in whatever way you can.

Nollywood actors Chinedu Ikedieze and Osita Iheme were joined by colleagues in the entertainment industry on Sunday, December 12, for the premiere of their highly-anticipated movie, Aki and Pawpaw, Igbere TV reports.
The theme for the night was ‘Old Nollywood Glam’ and it saw some guests showing up in outfits that were popular around the late 90s.
Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality stars Saga, Liquorose, Anto Lecky among others all showed up to support the Nollywood stars.
Politician Bukola Saraki and his beautiful wife, Toyin, recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary and used the opportunity to mark their daughter's birthday.
Igbere TV reports that the young lady clocked 30 and she appears to have been celebrated during her parent's wedding anniversary event.
Dedicating a post to the celebrant on Instagram, Toyin shared a video that appeared to have been filmed during the private family event.

Deola Smart, daughter of Kogi Senator Smart Adeyemi, and her husband Olusola Awujoola popularly known as Malivelihood are celebrating the one-year anniversary of their white wedding, Igbere TV reports.
The couple had on December 5, 2020 held their white wedding at the National Ecumenical Center in Abuja, one year after their court wedding.

Nigerian blogger and writer Linda Ikeji is celebrating 15 years anniversary since she started blogging.
Recounting her journey as a blogger, Linda Ikeji said she started as a personal and lifestyle blogger in which she only writes about herself and her life.
Igbere TV reports that the single mother of one and billionaire media mogul, in her post on Instagram, revealed that she later started writing about others in 2007.
Her blog soon became a gossip and news blog making her one of the pioneers of entertainment news online in Nigeria. She also shared a screenshot of her first blog post which dated back to November 26, 2001.
“Exactly 15 years ago today, 26th of November 2006, I created a blog and wrote my first blog post… the best decision of my life!
“I started with introducing myself, then subsequent blog posts was me sharing personal stuff which was the order of the day back then but sometime in early 2007, I decided I wanted to stop talking about myself and start talking about other people…lol. And so, it became a gossip/news blog.. which was extremely rare in those days, making The Linda Ikeji Blog one of the pioneers of entertainment news online in Nigeria. A standing ovation please.

Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has said that she is all by herself, revealing that for the first time in her life, she took a business trip without her husband or her child, Igbere TV reports.
The 20-year-old said this in an Instagram post on Tuesday, revealing that embarking on the trip was difficult for her.
“This is by far my hardest trip ever, having to travel all by myself for the first time in my life without no companion…no mother, no husband,no friend and of course no child. But business calls.
“I am trying to build myself into a wonderful woman that everyone will be proud of most especially my son,” she wrote in parts.
A priest in the Anglican Communion in Ghana Obeng Larbi has appeared in a video kissing three female students during church service, Igbere TV reports.
Each time he kissed the women the congregants wailed.
The incident happened on Sunday at St. Monica’s College of Education in the Ashanti region.
The video of the incident has since gone viral on social media.
An unnamed female student said the priest kissed the girls as “a show of appreciation,” Ghanaian news website Star FM reports.
The report did not address what the appreciation was meant for.
It also quoted the female student as saying that the school authorities were looking for the student who recorded and shared the clip.
She said, “We were not comfortable with the situation, that’s why we were shouting. This is the first time he’s doing this. He gave the school chaplain a kiss and then did (the) same to the three female Bible readers. The third girl the father kissed is a virgin and that’s why she gave her cheek to the father to kiss but he forced and kissed her lips.”
However, in a statement on Tuesday signed by George Dawson-Ahmoah, the executive director to the Metropolitan Archbishop of Ghana, the church said it was “saddened” by the development.
“The Church is saddened by the news and wish to state expressly that thorough investigation has immediately been instituted into the matter and the action of the said Priest would be dealt with in accordance with the norms and values of the Anglican Communion where morality is extremely revered in the Church,” the statement read.
It also stated that efforts had begun to have the students counselled to forestall psychological issues that may arise over the incident.
Farida Fasasi, wife of late singer Sound Sultan, has said that she is still struggling with the death of her husband, Igbere TV reports.
The mother of three said this in an Instagram post on Tuesday evening as she penned down a tribute to mark the one-month anniversary of his death.
“My dear Aboo, my nights have been so long and cold since you left me. My sweet gentle husband, the love of my entire life, my world. Thank you for giving me the best of yourself for the past years. Our love was truly perfect and I am totally lost without you.
