Ànambra is among the very few state with more than two city states in Nigeria,where you have over 3 urban cities at different senatorial zones namely nnewi southern, awka central and Onitsha northern, they also have sub Urban's like obosi,nkpor,ogidi,nkwere,oba,ichi,nnobi ekwulobia,Nimo,Enugu ukwu etc these places house many lock up shops numbering over 500000 in general, transport companies,over 5000 hotels, 5000 to 10000 companies,numerous schools and other business outlet, over 18 radio station ,anambra also have a lot of commercial bank branches in the state, second to only Lagos.
With all these , Anambra is expected to generate 5 times what they are currently publishing,
For instance in ogidi there are over 3 international markets with over 30 thousand lock up shops, the buidlng material and the baking material market, each of this shops pay more than 20000 annually, with other fees include the permit,the tenement etc. Same goes to head bridge,to electronics international market,the ogbo efere,the ochanja,the ose, and other numerous plazas at Onitsha main market, these markets pay so much to the government,
Then to nnewi, nkwo nnewi market is the biggest automobile market in west Africa with so many importers,exporters, manufacturers etc nnewi has many companies you may not have heard of because most of their goods are not produced for Nigeria market,some are still springing up as well as the popular innoson chikason,ibeto cutix PLC that we all know, there are many other big and small companies that are into automobile fabrication, machine parts oil and gas industries, etc.
Awka on its own grow at astronomical rate the springing of hotels,eateries and rendezvous with huge nightlife, media houses as well as eke awka market too,with plazas springing up at every nook and cranny of the state,
In ekwulobia,umunze,agulu,nkpor, nsugbe ihiala all have daily market and commercial activities with hotels and some sizable medium companies littered everywhere.
However with all these things, I'm more than shock to see the ridiculous amount published by Anambra state government as their Igr,
Honestly I'm very angry now,because I know how much I pay to this confused government as my rent yet he squanders and publishes token for us,
let's do the maths, if we all calculate the number of lock up shops in anambra state, say 500000 this is on a lower side,multiply it by 20000 at least per anum plus the taxes. This alone give you 10billion.
Then, the transport compaines pay dues both loading and offloading,the number of trucks and transport companies emptying into Anambra state is second highest in the country.
Plus the hostels in many campuses in the the state,the hotels and eateries,and the Almighty companies. Wow,how can a state with all these investment report the paltry sum annually? Ndi Anambra, are we the cause or coursed.

The Idoma People of Nigeria has distanced themselves from the inclusion of Idoma territory in the map of Biafra by the Nnamdi Kanu-led Independent People of Biafra.

The Idoma Youth Forum for Justice said the inclusion of Benue South in the map of the defunct Biafra was a deliberate attempt by the agitators to pitch the Idoma people against the Nigerian government.
IPOB had recently claimed that Biafra spans from Itsekiriland on the western boundary with Oduduwa to Bakassi on the eastern boundary with the Cameroons, and also stretches from Idoma and Igala land on the northern boundary with Northern Nigeria to the Bight of Biafra which is South of the island of Bonny.

In a 5-point communiqué issued in Otukpo at the end of a meeting held by the Idoma youth, they dissociated the Benue-South zone from the “so-called Biafra.”

The communiqué signed by Emmanuel Omonu, president of the youth arm of Idoma national apex association said, “We will not allow any inch of our land to be part of the ill-thought-out enterprise call Biafra.

He said, “We ask the IPOB and other secessionist groups to henceforth a halt to stop referring to Idoma community as part of Biafra as it touches on the collective sensibilities of our people and could provoke ethnic crisis.

“We are surprise that the likes of Kanu and his other Bifara supporters have not learnt their lesson after returning to Nigeria following the fall of Biafra in January 15, 1970 with tales of woes and horrors.
“The Idomas and other ethnic groups who have been carved into the maps being circulated by Nnamdi Kanu and his groups, we shall not tolerate any provocation from this group of persons as law abiding citizens of Nigeria and hereby wish to draw attention of the Federal Government and the International community to this fraud of a Biafra Republic to extort and criminalize our people.

“Our sons have held very high positions in Nigeria just like the Igbos and we see no reason for any secession anywhere in Nigeria, the right thing for all to do is to task our leaders in authority to judiciously apply the people's resources for the overall benefit of all whilst subscribing to the current administration's war against corruption.

Omonu said Kanu, who recently donned the Idoma traditional attire to a court hearing in Abuja was only using Biafra to enrich himself and family.

The group called on Benue South, political leaders and traditional rulers to “speak out now as their silence is becoming eloquent.”

“We want to make it empathetically clear that Idoma land was never and can never be part of the fraud call Biafra. We believe in one Nigeria and will do all within our power to protect the unity of Nigeria. Biafra died in 1970 and has gone into history. They should desist from dragging our name into their fraudulent business,” the group added.

The Yoruba Nation I know has been in the Opposition even since the inception of Nigeria and yet they are not the worst in Nigeria. After the annulment of the June 12, 1993, presidential elections won by Moshood Abiola, the powers that be tried to console the Yoruba by appointing Ernest Shonekan the head of the interim Government. Did Yoruba accept Shonekan? No, they did not. They did not come out on the streets with Gbedu Drums to celebrate Yoruba and Chief Shonekan.

Yoruba proudly told the powers that be that you can only be the Head of State in Nigeria through two methods: either through an election or through a successful coup d’état. In the case of Shonekan, he did not ascend to power through either of the above processes. He was therefore rejected by the Yoruba. Now, if it were the Igbo, would they have reasoned this way? I doubt it. In the struggle for June 12, Abiola was put in detention, and his wife killed. Several Yoruba people were in detention and some hounded abroad. Abiola was eventually killed. But did the Yoruba go to war or resort to self-determination? No, they did not. They fought back using common sense and the power of ideas.

In 1998 when the presidency was zoned to the South-West because the late MKO Abiola has paid the supreme price, the Yoruba preferred Olu Falae but the powers that be forced Obasanjo on Nigeria. Now did the Yoruba accept Obasanjo because he is a Yoruba man? They did not. This unique race rejected Obasanjo for the eight years he was in office, from 1999 to 2007. To date the Yoruba still believe that Obasanjo wasted their eight years. OBJ was rejected even in his own ward, in his local government, and in the whole of the Western Region. That is the Yoruba nation for you. Can the Igbo do this? I doubt it. After the 2003 elections, the PDP stole all the states in the South-West, leaving only Lagos because they were afraid of the trouble Lagosians will give them. The Former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, fought back like a wounded lion with his committed associates to reclaim almost all the States in the South-West. He did not stop there; he spread his intimidating political tentacles across Nigeria, forming alliances across building networks and bridges, and the result is what we saw on Saturday, March 28, and April 11, 2015.

Now, can any leader in the South-East achieve this feat? Where is the character? Where is the courage? Where is the wisdom and understanding? Where is the Common sense? Where is the discipline? Where is the capacity and capability?
