Lol, punch newspaper is really pathetic. Who does not know that Lagos is an unliveable city even by African standard? I've lived in Lagos and I told myself there was no way I could remain in such city without losing my sanity. The city is chaotic, overcrowded, lacks commensurate infrastructure for its overbloated population etc. If many Nigerians cant stand Lagos except when they cant help it, is it foriegners that could? Lagos is the only city in world with such population & yet still relies only on road transport to convey its citizens & Even the roads are deplorable. What about housing? electricity? Health care system? Sanitation? A city where people are easily lynched & jungle justice is a norm? Many areas are under the control of cultists & clashes are common? What about Badoo? What about "one chance"? A city where dead body can be decomposing on the road & people will be going about? Punch can continue asking emotional & sentimental questions to hide a known fact but nobody is fooled.

About why Yoruba language is the local language in Lagos is not a brain teaser, the language is native to the place so it has remained like that while other tribes learn it, however Igbo language is also very popular in Lagos.

What Ben Bruce (a smart and intelligent man in the midst of criminals who only think of how to milk Nigeria) is saying is that if we fail to find alternative means of generating income now, that we will be totally doomed in the coming years! Of course we will always have abundant crude oil, but it would have become useless as an income source! Oil is cheap today because of saturation, now imagine what will happen when about half of current demand is gone, as is going to happen soon, oil may become one dollar per barrel & cost of producing it would automatically outstrip that which means oil will no longer be profitable!! What will happen to the economy by then?? This country is finally doomed!! How did we get here? Thank God i'm earning dollars myself!!
