PoliticsRe: Buhari Is A Terrible Mistake: How He Caused This Crises by proeast(op): 1:23pm On Sep 08, 2023
OAFMods:
With all the flaws associated with the 2023 election which consist of

The Presidential
Senatorial
Gubernatorial

Judging from 1999 pls state which election is fairer in Nigeria than that conducted by Abass in 2023. Pls be specific, today I weekend and I have plenty of time to discuss rationally with any ipob n obidient alike. I am challenging every Igbo on Nairaland to come out n state which is fairer aside that of 2011.
People like you with dead conscience and extreme selfishness are the bane of the Black man. You people are the reason why Nigeria will never truly develop to its potential.

You see white and call it black, and vice versa, depending on what butter's your bread. There is no need wasting my time in trying to argue logically with people like you.

Goodbye!
PoliticsBuhari Is A Terrible Mistake: How He Caused This Crises by proeast(op):
Many people don't even realize that Buhari is the worst thing that happened to Nigeria. This man is not only useless to himself, but also useless to those under him. This man destroyed the second republic in 1983, when he seized power, even though he was a complete dunce. He ended up under the shadow of Idiagbon, his supposed vice!

He contested for president in almost every election since 2003 yet was unpopular among Nigerians except his fellow ethnicity and religious fanatics. When he lost in 2011, he caused the death of hundreds of innocent Nigerians. Looking back in retrospect at this man's desperation, one would only spit at realizing he had nothing to offer yet so desperate to rule?! What an irony!

Now, during the build up to the 2023 election, this useless old man raised the hope of Nigerians, including those working under him, that he would organize a free and fair election. Some of the top men in government that believed him ab initio were Godwin Emefiele and Mahmoud Yakubu. I'm saying this based on deep psychological evaluation. Emefiele knew that under the free and fair election promised by Buhari, that Tinubu won't be able to win. So, he carried out his fiscal policies with passion but unknown to him, he was working with a gullible and foolish old man who can't even get anything right.

On the part of Mahmoud Yakubu, he initially believed Buhari's rhetorics about free and fair election in 2023. So, he went about telling all Nigerians and indeed the world (at Chatam House), that he was ready. He promised young Nigerians that new technological innovations backed by electoral reforms will ensure their votes will count. Both Mahmoud and his partner, Okoye, didn't hesitate to host interviews and press conferences where they kept ellaborating on how 2023 elections would be the best in history. He sounded so sincere and passionate about it. Nigerians that have become pessimistic over time, eventually believed him. I believe, at some point close to the election, this man was threatened. He realized that Buhari was neither here nor there and wasn't capable of protecting him, so he bowed to those that threatened him.

Mahmoud Yakubu, obviously wanted to make a name for himself and that's why he passionately assured Nigerians and the global community. Unfortunately, he lacked the courage to effect it. He gave up when they threatened him. Godwin Emefiele is suffering today because he listened to a timid and foolish old man. Likewise, Mahmoud will have a heavy burden to carry in his conscience for the rest of his life.
PoliticsRe: Fake Likes: How Did Nairaland Degenerate To This Level? by proeast(m): 5:42pm On Sep 07, 2023
Lol, are you just observing it now? It has been happening since, particularly before and after the 2023 election. Sometimes they use bot, other times they backend through compromised mods. This place is a jungle with zero credibility.

Whenever I see those childish acts I laugh. They want to run a government with full time propaganda. Some of those things are being stipends while some others are doing it due to tribalism.

Wasted generation!

RenaissanceGuy:
We can't even get proper assessment of comments any more, because of fake likes generated by bots.

Imagine someone would just use an emoji to book a space and their bots will give him 96 likes. He could later come back to modify the comment and it'd seem like he made so much sense that Nairalanders liked his post that much.

Seun acknowledged this last year and said he had worked to deactivate those fake likes, but it appears they're back with more vigour.
PoliticsRe: The North Unfairly Dictates Nigeria Destiny by proeast(m): 9:32am On Sep 07, 2023
Not anymore. Tinubu has seized control and just like he did in Lagos, he won't let go again. The way he subdued Northern politicians and now do things without considering how they feel also show he doesn't rate them.

Buhari didn't actually back Tinubu. The few Northern politicians that supported him like El Rufai and the rest did so for selfish reasons even though it has backfired.

Watch how Tinubu will use subterfuge in sabotaging North while pretending to be in bed with them. Those that can think deeply has seen it already.

Peter girigory Obi is not difference from warmonger Ojukwu that massacred 3 million igbos and terrorist Kanu nnamdi that commanded Igbos to kill their fellow igbos for biafra, they were all made by igbos. After Supreme court judgement, he will be forgetton completely.

PoliticsRIP To Our Democracy by proeast(op): 9:12am On Sep 07, 2023
Many people don't even understand that our democracy has fallen into coma and is about to die. When impunity is elevated to brazen heights, and corrupt politicians win elections not based on their popularity but on extreme violence then it's no longer democracy. When same politicians will rig massively in your face and tell you to go to court, only to double-cross you at the court and still use the judges to legalize their rigging then it's no longer democracy.

This country's democracy is either dead completely or about to do so. I will provide reasons why I arrived at that conclusion:

1. Wike rigged with impunity in Rivers State and nothing happened. He succeeded and likewise most others!

2. Edo state governor just conducted a selection he termed LG election, and violently installed his candidates in all the LGA's. He succeeded and nothing happened!

3. Imo State will soon have its "election" but the fact is that he is going to win landslide even though Uzodinma is grossly unpopular among the people. He will also use violence to have his way and again, nothing will happen! In fact, most Imo people will stay away from the polling units on election day since they already know it's a useless exercise in futility.

As it stands now, no governor or president can lose election again, regardless of how unpopular they might be among the people. Isn't it obvious this so-called democracy is dead?

You can all pretend but the sad reality is that desperate corrupt politicians have destroyed our democracy once again, same way they did in the 80's and 90's. It's just a vicious circle with no end, maybe because we were never one nation.

PoliticsRe: Why Was Peter Obi Absent At PEPC Judgement Yesterday? by proeast(m): 8:43am On Sep 07, 2023
Peter Obi is by far the most popular Nigerian alive! Everyone wants to use him to get attention, both friends and foes alike. From the likes of Reno on X to several others, they sleep and wake up thinking about Obi.

This op didn't see Atiku at the tribunal, neither did he see the drug lord yet only Obi is where his attention is.

Take it or leave it, Obi has assumed a god status in Nigeria!

Tinubu and those supporting him are the real enemies of Nigeria. You can't have a country where most of its people are disillusioned. Peter Obi, through the Obidient movement was a last ditch attempt to reclaim Nigeria from criminals but desperation of the corrupt politicians didn't allow it.

Mark it today, any ruling that doesn't remove Tinubu means our constitution is dead. When you make peaceful and legitimate change impossible, you only create room for chaos and anarchy. The failure of the judiciary today, will cement the failure of Nigeria. A full state capture is in process but if they will succeed or not will depend on the extent of push back by Nigerians. Obidients are the largest movement in Nigeria today. They're everywhere both within and outside Nigeria. For those that call them Igbos, the events that will unfold in the coming days, weeks, months and even years will shock you.

The only thing that may stop Nigeria from breaking up completely is full autonomy to the constituents.

Firstly your post reeks of inferiority complex, unreasonable and unwarranted topic, just to feed your complex issues.

Forget that WAZOBIA cliche, it's a slave mentality cliche the white man used to deceive you, today we have six zones, WAZOBIA is dead. Read my first post again, being powerful is not by being a curse to a country, a liability or problematic, we know the two problematic zones in Nigeria today is North and East...a people that can't coordinate themselves to enjoy peace and prosperity in their region, is not powerful.

World most powerful nations, America, UK, Switzerland, Russia, France etc... enjoy peace in their nation. Stop empty bragging. Am enlightening you, it's possible you were fooled by the wazobia slogan, but that was an arrangement of the British colonials, and it is dead. Prosperity, progress, peace and tranquility in a region are characteristics of a powerful tribe, nation or people. You are just following the wazobia bandwagon...go to Lagos today majority of street beggars are from the North, majority of people constituting nuisance in Lagos...take care of your poor people, make them stay in your region and thrive there, that is power...not your empty talk.

North Korea is not powerful only troublesome, they can be destroyed. Isreal is powerful because they enjoy peace and prosperity inside Israel, it's people are not running away from their region in droves...what normally makes people leave a place is either poverty or insecurity, so the north and east should deal with those basic internal problems first.
Lol, you've come again with propaganda to hide the real facts. Recent official data already proved that SW had more violence and fatalities than SE.

Russians are far poorer than most people from Western Europe, yet the Europeans can't dare Russia. If Russia coughs, Western Europe will catch cold. So, even if the average Northerner is poorer as you claim, it doesn't mean they're not powerful collectively.

Lol, "North Korea is not powerful, they can be destroyed"? You're not even informed at all. Even United States can't dare North Korea, talk more of attacking them yet you're here saying gibberish. Go and read about MAD, i.e. mutually assured destruction.

You said Israelis don't leave their region? Another ignorance. Jews are the most traveled people in the world!

envy reared its head and Aguiyi Ironsi enacted his decree 34 that put Nigeria where it is today.

Lol, Igbos are good whether in Nigeria or Biafra, they will remain a great nation. However, the day Igbos mistakenly leave Nigeria, that's the day Illorin situation will be replicated across the entire yorubaland.

Your leaders know this fact and some of your enlightened people also know it. That's why the very idea of Igbos leaving Nigeria is like a nightmare to them.
