Hope you know Osimhen is not playing fora top 5 club
Cmanforall:

Nigeria needs to be strict on players, and those they invite.
Yes, there could be foreign-based players of Nigerian origin. Nigeria should maybe invite only those who play regularly for their clubs and their clubs are in top 5 of their respective leagues. Anything less than that,
Nigeria should just develop their homebased players for international football. They may lose at initial times, but with time they will understand each other. So friendlies should be reserved to build the teamand play well

Health / Re: Japa: Council, Nurses Begin Legal Battle Over New Certification Guidelines by Profayo: 10:52am On Mar 22
Nursing is a course studied in the University like every other course.
Is there any graduate of other courses being made to work compulsorily for 2 years before travelling abroad?
So why nurses?
There are student nurses who are married to spouses abroad, does this mean they have to stay in the country after graduation for two years? This is unfair.
There are nurses looking for jobs for over two years in the country, what is their hope?

The only thing is those whose final destination is not London may not benefit much.
Apart from having to find a different suitable connecting flight(in which there will be limited options in Gatwick)to final destination, having to claim your luggage and rechecking it back into your connecting flight is also another hassle

I am just wondering what is it with our super eagles players and signing for rubbish clubs, who advices them on their transfer moves?
Currently all super eagles players in EPL are battling relegation and their is a chance all of them could get relegated.

Everton - Iwobi
Leicester - Ndidi and Iheanacho
Nottingham forest - Awoniyi, Emmanuel Dennis
Southampton- Onuachu

Maduka Okoye made a stupid move to Watford last year despite them staring down relegation.
Watford ended up relegating key players like Emmanuel Dennis, and Ekong.

What happens to super Eagles when key players like Ndidi, Iwobi and Kelz gets relegated?

Ndid and Iheanacho stayed too long in Leicester, Iheanacho especially has never been trusted and should have moved.

I think our players needs to stop chasing money only otherwise their career will not eventually reach the peak, Okocha doesn't get the Legendary recognition his talents deserves, Martins deapite his enormous talent went to play for Newcastle that was always battling relegation.
It is very sad

RIP Atsu

I'm not trying to be insensitive but I don't understand why he's being laid to rest with military honors.

He was not a political leader. He was not in the military as well. Why the military procession?
He is a national hero!
And how do you know he hss not invested significantly in the nation's military?

Sometimes I wonder what could have been:

Defence: Akanji, Tomori, Alaba, Bright Osayi

Midlfield: Ndidi,Eberechi Eze, Iwobi

Attack:Saka, Musiala, Osimhen.

Bench:Adeyemi, Olise, Lookman,Moffi,Chukwueze

Coach: Pitso Mosimane of Alhly[Most successful coach in Africa] or Hervr Renard.

Every team will fear them, You cannot man mark any of the attackers because the others will terrorize you.Even the likes of Adyemi on the bench can come in and put the fear of God in any team.

Only if our NFF will stop playing politics with our football

For those always shouting Nigeria Army are wicked, in saner climes you can wear camouflage without being harassed, I hope you can see why u cannot do that in Nigeria
You're wrong! Even though this guy is not a soldier, he is doing what soldiers usually does in Nigeria which is harassing people without consequences. No one can challenge soldiers in Nigeria, that's what the impostor banked on to collect people's phones. In saner climes no soldier can harass you without losing their job. Therefore an impostor cannot even dream of it because he will be challenged.

Mourinho generally likes African strikers.
You don't expect him not to say something negative about an opposition player but believe me he like Osimhen alot, if he has money like he said, he will surely buy him

Sports / Nigeria Football Needs Overhaul by Profayo: 5:07pm On Nov 23, 2022
Seeing the level of performance of African teams in this world cup is encouraging.
Senegal giving a good account of themselves against Netherlands , Tunisia holding Denmark and Morocco holding Croatia.

Something tells me if it were the supereagles against either Croatia and Denmark, we would have lost like we lost 4 years ago against Coratia.Against Netherlands, we would have been beaten by Nothing less than 4-0.

Our current crop of supereagles lacks a winning mentality, lacks leaders who can help them stand up to big teams. For example against Portugal, Portugal fielded their second team and player for player, the team they fielded shouldn't be much more better than our team who had Terem Moffi, Simon and Lookman who are banging goals day in day out in their clubs.Ndidi is one of the best midfielders in the premier leage and Bassey have been a revelation for Ajax.So how did a second string Portugal team rout us 4-0?

First and foremost, if you look at the supereagles these days, when playing a bigger team, they play without any confidence and keep making silly mistakes. Even if we score first like against Algeria, we simply can't hold on or score more.As soon as they scored against Algeria, we started defending instead of pressing more.If you remember last world cup, we could have killed Argentina but the likes of Iheanacho and Ighalo just gets jittery whenever near the post. When last did the supereagles win a match after conceding first?
The days of Okocha and Kanu, they were big game players that are unfazed by the team before them.Kanu can literarily turn a game on it's head single handedly.Okocha was Bolton's captain and can bring calm to the team. They don't start defending after a sinle goal.Hopefully the rise of Osimhen will fill this gap and give us a true big game player.

Our NFF is not fit for purpose, we have been performing woefully in even age grade competitions that we used to perform well. Our Local Clubsides are not even getting to the group stages of CAF competitions. How do you expect a local footballer who haven't player a CAF champions league group game to stand up to Neymar or Even Mahrez?
NFF needs to improve our local leagues, we need a footballing philosophy that all our acdemies and local clubs will follow. It would be ingrained in our footballers from under 7.We need standard academies that will be managed by well educated coaches who knows our footballing philosophy. The tikitaka of Spain, the wing play of France, the high intensity of the Germans, the impenetrable walls of the Italians. We need a philosophy that defines our national teams.

Then we need a good foreign coach familiar with African football like Herve Renard till our local coaches are well trained and can step up to take us to the next level.
