Will you guys stop contradicting yourselves!! none of you has proved me wrong about the CBN alleged acts on the #100, just show me 100 naira currency dated from 2016 upward simple!!!. Maybe its your Buhari that you need to be educated that restricting the usage of #100 note because a language was taken off is not much of a strategy that will result into something tangible (as you all claim) TAO11: Oga that writting on the Nigerian currencies is not Qur'anic. It's not even Arabic language.
You may find this out by yourself if you ask your sponsors to be honest with you.
Africans had writting systems even before the first Europeans set foot here to give us their own A, B, C, .. scripts.
Forget the narrative they try hard to shove down our throats, they met us writing.
Ignorance can actually cause you to be divided against your own self. Friend01: When people speak ignorantly it proves one thing, lack of understanding. The 'Qur'ān ' you see in those money are 'arabic letters known as 'ajami which means foreign in 'arabic. it helps the average northern who does not know other counting (English) method to easily identify which money is which; the purpose is not to Islamize Nigeria. It's only an idiot that still believes such thing that there is Islamization or an Islamization agenda because of some simpletons choose to like one nonsense written by an unexposed ignoramus.
Well, filthy things attract much flies. |

theoldpretender: So why are they printing the 5 to 50 naira notes that don't have Quran on then as well?
And the 100 naira notes are still in circulation by the way Oya, it's a challenge, show me one. it's a known serious issue that #100 note has been in short supply, most of the new note you will see of #100 are dated far back of 2015, so we had the note in massive production far back as 2015? why are they just being released? |

alfaman3: ... A wise man does not ask for wisdom. Someone who can see does not ask for sight.
If Solomon was wise, there are lots of other things he could have asked of someone who claimed to be omnipotent. Instead he asked for the thing he lacked most: wisdom... This part tells of your own intellectual status too man: 1. He wasn't "wise" before asking for wisdom, he became "wise" after the request Judging or rating his "wisdom" should be only his post-request action, Mr Judge 2. Not knowing your problem, is worst than having the problem Solomon at pre-request is obviously not even living in self-pretence 3. Wisdom is one of the greatest things a man can have, and you can't have it in sufficient, except you live in self-denial So it is the greatest thing a man can request for (after good health) I'm not a fan of how Solomon lived his life but that doesn't mean that he made the wrong "request", but how he choose to " use" it, you can crucify him for that. Do you even know what is achievable with wisdom? Forget how Solomon channelled his own, He could have conquered the world, Develop science to modern day level during that time Probably even have been the first man to step on moon, for real! Creativity, intelligence, understanding, etc all are housed in "ultimate wisdom" like the one Solomon is said to have gotten. |
Business › Re: How Old Were You When You Made Your First Million?, And How? by profstar(m): 6:57am On Nov 20, 2018 |
The10thMan: Was 26.
Graduated school in 2004. Then applied for various jobs. Any that was available. I needed seed capital for my dream. I recall trekking Trans Amadi in PH dropping CVs to companies. Many oil and gas servicing firms. I even went to Primary and Secondary Schools to look for teaching jobs. Come see shakara untop my 4.01 Second Class Upper. But I couldn't be bothered. I knew I needed to get a job first, then raise seed capital even if I wanted to start a business. Background was humble and family was just managing. Wrote various aptitude tests for banks like Intercontinental, other banks, Freisland, Diageo, LNG, etc. and another one with an Oil and Gas Agency. First Job was with a bank. Old Generation Bank still existing today. Got a job as a Banking Assistant Graduate Trainee. Went to Lagos for 1 month training and posted to the Eastern Part of Nigeria. While in the bank in 2007, the Oil and Gas Agency finally called. Their recruitment took super long. Left First Bank like crazy. Salary in the Bank was 59,000 back then. One of the lowest paying.
In my new job, housing allowance alone was back then was 1.6 Million annually. Salary about 200k monthly. Not to mention hazard, offshore, etc. allowances. I was 26. I recall I called up my friends in the bank and jokingly told them they are all small boys.. .Finances have never gone below 1 million naira. Savings alone with Work Staff Cooperative Society is multiple millions. ONE IMPORTANT THING IS I KEPT MY LIABILITIES AND EXPENSES LOW and still do. Never believed in the ''I need to upgrade so people know I have arrived'' mentality. Acquired 4 properties. 2 Lagos and 2 back home. Built first house in Lagos.Added two shops to the front section. Completed and rented all flats and shops out. I still live in a rented apartment.
However, money in the bank and dormant salary/income doesn't bring returns. Money is a messenger and money doesnt like being idle. You need to send it on good errands to bring more money, and the cycle continues. Also, there is time value of money and money depreciates. With all these at the back of my mind, I urgently needed to transfer a lot of my finances into assets that will generate income. This is still my biggest challenge today. I focused on greatly on developing my skills and myself professionally in my area of expertise. I eventually set up a Consulting Firm/Company in my area of expertise with freelance workers. I read a lot, pay for courses myself. Coupled with work sponsored courses. I love to read about wealth creation and financial intelligence. I have a crazy collection of over 20 books. Kiyosaki, Trump, etc. I love watching Grant Cardone, Tai Lopez etc. on Youtube at my spare time just for encouragement. My job is still there by Gods grace. Consulting firm is growing strong. Now Consult for both Upstream and Downstream Companies. Trying my best to brand the company with a good website, good band image etc. Currently, I have the desire to open a conglomerate to diversify to various sectors. Picture Dangote Group. Called up a lawyer for advice. I intend to go into a lot of business ventures. I needed daily revenue so currently planning to open a lounge/cafe/bar and plaza anywhere after Ajah Axis in Lagos. Searching for property currently. My Consulting brings money but you have to chase contracts and bids etc. Plus, contracts dont come easy. Also, price war between contractors drives down profit margins a lot. Need something with daily returns so thought I should open my own Lounge/Bar/Cafe with a small plaza for sharwama, asuun, nkwobi, fried potatoes etc. That is my next project. Also, intend to follow Grant Cardone's idea-''build multi-family dwelling housing instead of single units''. Intend to do this with the other land in Lagos.
ONE BIG MISTAKE I MADE WAS NOT LISTENING TO MY LATE MUM. She forces all her kids to learn a vocation/a skill regardless of how highly educated you are. Personally, she wanted me to learn welding. I felt I was too educated for it. Perhaps by now I would have been constructing Sky scrappers and handling huge projects with my current knowledge and exposure.
GRATEFUL

Culture › Why Do People Wear Wristwatch On Left Hand by profstar(op): 1:12pm On May 21, 2018*. Modified: 7:32pm On Oct 17, 2019 |
Why do people wear wristwatch on left hands
Even as a lefty ('left handler'), I normally wear wristwatch on my left hand which is a norm I grew up with and loved.
However, lately during my professional exams I had to transfer my watch to my right to enable me to keep writing while still recurrently looking at my watch for timing purpose.
When it was on my left I had to pause the writing and look at the time. You might want to suggest putting the watch on the table, but that's not the point and again it was convenient having the watch on.
At the end of the exam, I questioned the norm (why do I and most people wear wristwatches on the left) and then the answer to the question came quickly.
It occur to me that before things (acts) becomes norms (in a civilized environment) they mostly will have passed "Logical reasoning " then it continues for years and then the generation that did the thinking goes and the new generation just continue it, making "norm" to replace "reason for" and sometimes even turn to fashion.
Back to my topic, Majority of people are right handed and it is easier for them to engage the right hand full time and then the "less-busy" hand has the watch to keep them time conscious.
So I reasonably decided to now wear my watch on my right, it seems inconvenient for now but I will get use to it soon.

Martinez19: my secret is that I place happiness over money. From personal experience, If we make money the must important thing in our lives, as we have done inevitably at one point in time, the kind of worrying that will kill you is out of this world . Happiness and your passion should come first, that way you will most happy and fulfilled. |

MrMystrO: This question i cannot answer and i believe nobody Alive can. Nevertheless My contribution to this and to help with your post and these thoughts of yours, is that first of all understand, What are we all striving for? Plato said the Ultimate Goal of Man is to be Happy. So then, how do you find happiness? Happiness is Relative. One mans i don blow is another mans I'm in wreck!! First key to Unconditional happiness is to Understand that Material things DO NOT bring real happiness because they are never enough. They only activate a sense of self rewarding feeling but they do not bring True happiness. To me, i believe True happiness can be found in Appreciating to the highest degree, the Little things of life. Appreciate to the highest degree the sunrise and sunset, Appreciate the cool breeze that blows in the evening, appreciate the lovely stars that shine at night.. appreciate Art, Music and anything Artistic. Appreciate those special people in your life who love you and always care about your well-being. Think of Life as a whole as a work of art, including the happy times and the Sad times, Learn to appreciate this art and believe me you will find a very deep sense of fulfillment in every situation, deeper that any you've ever felt. Learn to Unconditionally appreciate this Chaotic Cage we've found ourselves in and watch yourself become free inside...
I do hope you Live free and find unconditional happiness my good friend. |
