1. Make sure your internet connection is good, I once lost a good when my netwoek lost signal during second-stage interview. Trust it wasn't funny at all. You can also prepare a backup network just in case.
2. Mute your microphone, obly unmute when you want to talk.
3. If possible, open up ypur browser on your PC to the necessary information the interviewers will ask you while the app and meeting itself should be on your phone.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: How Are You Surviving? by psalms37(f): 3:06pm On Jul 29, 2022
It's been quite difficult o, but I've learnt and mastered some tricks which I will share.

1. I have 3 children, all under 10 so what I do now is to buy cereals, milk and milo in paint bucket. A paint of milk is 7500 and can last for 2 months compare that to the tin or sachet and you'll note a massive difference (its factory produced so the quality is the same as the one you see in stores)
2. Cook in bulk to reduce gas cost and store in small freezer plastic bags. Thank God power has been quite constant
3. Next term, I plan to change the kids school fees to one closer to our house to cut off school bus fees. I've done my due diligence and I have found one that has exceelnt standard albeit more expensive than their current school
4. No more going out unnecessarily. Work, home, run errands, church finish. Better to call people to stay in touch, rather than have them turn up suddenly on top say they wan greet una.
5. Other things sha

Am a graphic designer / Virtual assistant. I have been in upwork and fiverr for a few months now. I have not landed any job yet.
To get a job on those site are very competitive.
It best to apply for job with ur skills on any company. It very difficult being a Nigerian trying to make it legitimate online.
I source for clients offline now, where I design products package, Flyers, Posters, Cover book and Newsletter. At least once a week. I get job from friends or on Facebook. Currently looking applying for jobs.
To get Jobs on fiverr or upwork u will have to do some work free and build up ur profile to show u have done such work before. Again u need to optimiz ur LinkedIn, Facebook and twitter. Have a portfolio profile and website.

This is me right now, I always wonder if I'm doing something wrong. Thank goodness I'm not the only one

Phones / Re: What Is The Best Subscription For Heavy Downloads? by psalms37(f): 11:44am On Apr 23, 2021
post=101041511:
If you use 50 GB data and above monthly,
The Below has a breakdown of the very best data plans in Nigeria at the moment (2020) for heavy users.

Spectranet Unlimited Gold: ₦18,000 and gives you 8 Mbps guaranteed speeds till you consume 100 GB,
after which your speed is throttled to a miserable crawl.

Smile UnlimitedPremium: ₦19,800 gives you 4 Mbps maximum speed till the 80 GB mark, after which you crawl too. To get the 4 Mbps speed back, you have to recharge with another Unlimited plan. Gobe.

Smile UnlimitedLite: ₦10,000. This gives you 4 Mbps maximum speed till you use up 20 GB, and then you crawl.

Ntel Unlimited Monthly: ₦17,500. Ntel does not specify at what point they may throttle you, but says it will happen “If your usage of our unlimited plans is greater than a predefined amount during any 24-hour period (measured from midnight each day)”. It would be nice if Ntel would specify.

Swift Unlimited
: This is the only unlimited data plan that would be worth considering. For ₦19,500, Swift gives you unlimited data for 30 days. There is no mention of a speed cap or throttling. Do your research though. You just never can tell.

Airtel has since introduced a weekly version of their Daily Binge data plan. Airtel Weekly Binge offers users 6GB data bundle for just ₦1,500 for a 7-day vailidity period. That gives you 24GB of data for ₦6,000 monthly, if you renew weekly. To get 30GB a month, you spend ₦7,500. A monthly budget of ₦15,000 will give you 60GB to burn.

Glo has a similar daily plan to Airtel Daily Binge. It offers you 1 GB for N300 and the data is valid for 24 hours only as well.
If you subscribe once daily for 30 days, your bill will come to ₦9,000 for 30 GB on Glo daily Splash. And there is no speed cap. If you do 2 GB daily, you spend ₦18,000 for 60 GB of data.

MTN’s 2.5GB for N500 Bundle

The 2.5GB data bundle from MTN is another voluminous plan that will interest those looking for huge data on small budget.

In view of the volume of data that these plans offer, and the lack of speed caps to slow you down, these two daily offers from Airtel and Glo are the best data plans in Nigeria if you are a heavy user. Even if you consume more than 60 GB monthly, you will still find them to be the best value for money. Those unlimited data plans (perhaps with the exception of Swift 4G), just got real competition.

What may be a little annoyance is the fact that you have to subscribe daily. I haven’t tried them out to see if they offer auto-renewal. But if I were Airtel and Glo, I’d implement auto-renewal on those plans and smile to the bank.

Modify : almost times 8 actually.

We will look into this also.....
Thanks!

Thanks a lot Sir Prico.
We will look into that also.

I have to correct this, Ntel's modified data plans:

Ntel Unlimited plus plan- truly unlimited with no data cap or threshold, available for 25,000 and valid for 30 days.
Ntel Unlimited Family plan- Data threshold not 150GB and bonus data of 75GB in total 225GB. Available for 18,500 valid for 30 days.

Family / Re: What Will You Do In A Marriage Like Mine? by psalms37(f): 12:41pm On Jan 20, 2021
Madam, nobody is perfect and I don't think a divorce is the answer as every relationship has its own challenge. Having said that I have a few observations from your write up and maybe some suggestions too.
1. I don't think your husband is heartless, rather I believe you've been using emotional blackmail (crying, silent treatment etc) in the past and he has decided to become numb to it. See ehn, men can be funny at times, they can decide to teach their partner a lesson and do things to hurt that person even sometimes hurting themselves or doing what they aren't proud of in the process. This COULD be the situation in your case and h just wants you to let off his case a bit.
2. Have you considered thinking about things from his own stand? He may have his reasons for not agreeing to your mum of his coming over. I think you should stop talking about it completely and make arrangements suitable for your baby, you could hire mature nanny who'd come to the house to care for baby while you're at work. That way baby gets her full sleep and since he doesn't mind paying then I think it's perfect.
3. You need to have a talk with yourself and decide to be the woman he fell in love with. Decide to love him and love him even when he gives you attitude, seduce him is he not your husband. I believe he'll come around
4. You have to let him know physical abuse is unacceptable and you would not hesitate to involve the police if he lays a finger on you, love and being married doesn't turn one stupid, thankfully, you live in a sane clime so if he ever touches you again in violence, sistership, call the police and let him cool his anger in the cell. You also get angry at times and don't hit him so why should he feel free to do that to you. Take a stand on it and ensure you do the needful if he doesn't live up to his word.
5. Finally about the native doctor, there may be nothing you can do about this o except to keep praying for him and working on yourself. You could think about some of the suggestions above, pick up a few of them and act on it wait for awhile to observe his behavior to your new self then have a heeart-heart conversation with him to talk about your marriage and your concern s about his penchant for native things.
Being married for 6years in the abroad is no joke and you are a survivor but we are all works in progress and can certainly do with external help from time to time.

Culture / Re: Female Inheritance: Supreme Court, Igbo Culture In Head-on Collision by psalms37(f): 9:45am On Sep 08, 2020
Fathers should do well by writing a will before they die listing all their children as beneficiaries. As for those who say that a woman will cause strife amongst her siblings if she inherits from her own father's will, what exactly is the precedent? I am Yoruba and females inherit under our laws and except for hungry family members, fights rarely occurs between siblings. Worst case if the children are unable to divide the assets, they sell it all and share the money. My mum is the first child of her and her only brother happened to be the second to last, they sold off his assets when he died and shared the money EQUALLY amongst themselves. I don't why people stress themselves sha,

[quote author=Professorcplus post=84567655]With the little experience I have acquired I no scam when I see one and yes this is a pure scam.

First of all for those that have dropped their details, I advise you delete it (modify) because with this bad guys can spoof you.

What does he mean by data entry. He know what he's up to so he can't post the link here.

Nothing multinational about the company o. The greatest scam of making money on his personal fraudulent webpage by creating traffic on the page. The link he will send will probably be a website.

You will be required to register with your email and username. Quack you think.

After which a page will pop up for you to type the number you see on the screen. The more you type and click enter the more the money per click increases and new number continues to pop up and on and on That is the idea of generating traffic.

By the time you choose to withdraw your money. If the money is below $150 it will tell you, you can only withdraw your money above $150.

If you manage to meet the $150 requirement, you will be directed to another page to refer 40members to process the withdrawing.

After meeting the requirement you will be directed to enter your bank details Bvn, front and back number of your ATM. I know you know what that means if third party get hold of such info.

If you go ahead and give them the details it will now tell you to be patient as it requires 3 working days.

If you are not dumb by now, you should know this is a scam.

God bless you for this, it's such a scam that its ridiculous

So I submitted the applied on behalf of my sis and here's what we got:

Thank you for your interest in Relationship Hero and for taking the time to apply.
Unfortunately we have decided not to move forward with your interview process at this time. We receive many applications and are only able to hire a relatively small number of candidates.
Here are some common reasons why we might not accept an application:
Issues with English proficiency
Issues with typing speed or other technical requirements
Analysis of sample coaching situations isn't exactly what we're looking for

Pls what next, can she reapply?

Literature / A New Book Blog by psalms37(f): 10:32am On Sep 18, 2019
Hello Bookies and writers, my name is Tolu and I love reading so much that sometimes I forget to eat when reading a book. The spirits revealed to me that that rather than spending all my time on a 8-6 job that I hated why not turn my passion into something else. I admit that I have never written something and I don't think i need to be a writer to know a good book when I see or rather read one. Right?

So here's the deal, I wanna create a book review blog where books ( eBooks, audio-books, print-books etc) will be discussed and possibly the links to read the books shared. I would suggestions from people here to make it work. So please, please and please don't move to the next topic until you drop something here.

I guess they missed that
1. Quinine was discovered from the Chinchinna tree
2. Azadirachtin was discovered from Azadirachta indica that is neem ( Dongoyaro) Both of these drugs have antimalarial properties and are often used in the treatment of malaria
And lets not forget the Asian Ginseng which has a whole lot of medicinal properties
Let them conduct a proper research with several control groups to verify their claims and let the OP also be aware that there are still intelligent folks on this forum and stop coming up with sensational topics like the above.
