Please read this chilling investigative piece. It has brought back to my memory a meeting I had with some persons in 2018.

It was in 2018 I made a post on Facebook, out of internal anger, to shade the Ooni. A friend close to him called from the Palace advising me against such. I could not clearly articulate my grouse because there was no solid base upon which I could stand to either present or challenge the allegations against him.
Journalists and activists get stuck when citizens are too afraid to challenge authorities.
I have had no choice than to drop a lot of stories that get to me because the direct victims just want to talk about them but do not want to take decisive actions to save the rest of us who are just for a short time indirect victims.

For example, there is a serial molester/rapist in charge of “dispensing justice” at top level in Lagos State now. The direct victims reached out at the time of his appointment. Were they ready to take it up? No. Not really.
Today, we are all victims of that silence.

Nigerians must learn how to fight to save what’s left, instead of outsourcing the fight. With this piece, I’m happy some are rising. Even though we still have a lot waiting for the cock to crow.

Sowore is a graduate of Geography and Regional Planning in the University of Lagos

He further bagged a few post-graduate certifications in Public Administration etc. just to name a few

How can a lecturer in an ivy league institution as Columbus University in the USA have only WAEC as qualification

A mild inferno has erupted right behind the walls demarcating the College and the shuttle road leading to the Nigerian Army reference hospital Myhoung barracks right now. The fire broke out at about 09:15 pm, sources disclosed

The fire fighting agencies within the locale are on top of the situation, even as we can confirm that there has been no loss of lives in the incident

Students resident around the affected area (in Akata) within the College earlier expressed fears as the fire began to rage with reckless abandon. They were seen packing their belongings out of the hostel, under panic

We have it on good authority to report that a part of the Akata female hostel has been affected by the inferno, as well as fringe parts of the NASU food canteen

Students are advised to stay clear of the burning area to reduce any form of collateral damage, even as we trust that the fire department would act accordingly in response to the emergency

Internal wranglings within the Take It Back (TIB) movement and the African Action Congress (AAC), movement and party platform of the controversial Omoyele Sowore has taken a down turn that has led to the resignation of a member of the Take It Back (TIB) movement's National Working Committee (NWC).

In a public resignation notice signed by Jawosimi Oluwasegun- the erstwhile Deputy National Mobilization Officer of the TIB movement stated that the party is 'unfortunately far from the shadows of sanity and equinamity'

He expressed this dissatisfaction on his Facebook page, where he thought that 'the TIB/AAC would be an alternative and model for other political parties and platforms.

He went on further to declare that he is quitting the party, even as he wished TIB/AAC a continued success
