babyosisi: Thank u Dr. osisi. The amount of ignorance exhibited here leaves me speechless sometimes. babyosisi:Someone will soon tell us afterall toothache is endemic in the south too. You forgot to add yellow fever too. i remember when we went to serve in the north, we were all forced to take immunisations enmasse. I couldnt help but wonder how we managed to remain the same country and yet so vastly different. |
Danmasani:This is untrue. The initial decision to split the viable and powerful regions into states was done by military fiat and against public oppinion. The present "desire" of every tribe for state creation is simply because of the free oil money that is handed out to otherwise unprofitable, unviable, corrupt individuals interested more in amassing ill-gotten wealth and getting federal/political appointments than in having a state. in today's Nigeria, the number of states rather than productivity now governs who gets what. Danmasani:False! Ondo has commercial quantities of crude oil and bitumen. Ogun has commercial quantities of crude oil and has already commenced plans to begin oil exploration. The lazy and sleazy federal government does not do any extracting or exploration of oil, rather it relies on foreign companies who then pay rent that we all share. the rest of us have learned our lessons from the Niger Delta experience, no one will be foolish enough to allow drilling of oil reserves in the west at least until the leeches in the north are no longer there. why do you think the west is the most vehement group in support of a federal system of government? You think they too do not like free oil money from the Niger Delta? Danmasani:there was no zoning in 1960, none in 1963, none in 1979, none in 1983. Zoning did not enter our lexicon until 1999 and that is a fact. Danmasani:We are no fools, we know what befell us when we attempted to reject a fraud in 1993. No one wants to pay the price for "democracy" again. Danmasani:Obasanjo was merely a stooge of the north. If you bothered to check the south voted enmasse for Olu Falae. Danmasani:This is irrelevant. The decision to stop vaccinations in the north had NOTHING to do with the trovan experience. Afterall the rest of the country recieved vaccinations from the SAME batch. The trovan incident was a drug trial and NOT a vaccination. Danmasani:Thank God for El rufai. Maybe he can inspire the other lazy almajiris to attempt at least primary school too. |
Kai! in the bid to be noticed some will go a long way to exhibit their ignorance. denex:appologies if i put it the wrong way, they are known to possess proven researces of crude oil. Mining of bitumen actually takes place in Ondo state. Ondo i think is also considered one of the oil producing states by the FG. denex:there is gold in ilesha, perhaps you need to direct this question to the ministry of solid minerals. denex:hmmm did anyone mention uranium here by chance? denex:Sickle-cell anaemia is a hereditary disease and thus cannot be lumped together with pathogen-borne diseases that are the result of poor hygiene. You cannot vaccinate against sickle-cell. that is why you should have taken biology class seriously! ![]() |
Danmasani:simple! i meant my response on the north had nothing to do with sharia or lumping everyone northern as muslim. i know very well that Benue is a mainly christian state, i lived with a benue family for 1 yr so i dont need you to tell me what gboko looks like. |
Danmasani:Those days disappeared the very day northern Nigerian retards masquerading in military uniform decided to ruin our federal system of government. Well before dear Yakubu Gowon split us into 12 states and unified government, the west could care less about oil drilled in Bayelsa. Danmasani:NO. Aboslute zilch! Bauchi and kogi states ARE NOT oil producing states. NNPC on the basis of the nauseating federal character policy has sunk billions of naira on prospecting for oil in Bauchi WITHOUT SUCCESS. Ogun and Ondo states have PROVEN oil and bitumen reserves. Danmasani:When did the nonsense about "6 geopolitical zones" start? Was it part of our national lexicon in 1993? The clamour for zoning of political office only became important when we all realised we were being taken for a ride by a bunch of illiterates who contribute NOTHING to the federal purse and yet claim that the presidency is their birthright. Abdulsalam Abubakar introduced zoning in 1999 in order to placate the south! Danmasani:Last i checked, all u've contributed to this thread is an exhibition of verbal diarrhoea. Keep it up. Where is the "logical reasoning" in ever post of urs? i wont also hesitate to point out your numerous gaffes each time you post. I notice you had nothing to say about polio and the north? Illiteracy and the north? Last i checked i did not introduce the concept of "educationally less advantaged states". Perhaps that is also a stupid policy introduced by those who would rather herd cattle than go to school. |
the dangers of long distance relationships. sit down and study your options very well. I would say to stay with the lady u've spent 5yrs of ur life with but what if the new girl is actually the one for you? If settling down is what is on ur mind then it shouldnt take you time to figure out which would make the best partner for u. The new girl is still a student while u're a worker. hmmm that on its own is a red flag. What if she goes to serve too and just like you, finds another guy that she is also into? Choose wisely, no one can advise u. |
I-man:true. Same can be said of Hillary Clinton too. But she will definitely benefit from having for husband a former president. |
If this is an example of how you approach issues then i am not surprised at the low literacy level in the north. Danmasani:Not really! those who carved up Nigeria into tiny bits did not put into consideration their economic viability. The 6 states in the west put together are also oil-producing states (Ekiti, Ogun, Ondo, Lagos!), Ondo also has huge deposits of bitumen. Osun state is a treasure throve of gold deposits. Put the entire north together, what have they contributed to the federal purse in 47 yrs? Pls do some reasoning rather than spouting uncouth verbiage! Danmasani:1. The south can clearly survive without the Niger Delta 2. When northerners want to start their usual tricks they attempt to split the south into south, lagos and niger delta. The Niger Delta is a bonafide part of the south! And No! the igbos and yorubas wont be like Niger without the Niger Delta because they too have oil resources. Danmasani:The usual northern trick of trying to separate Lagos from the south so as too perpetuate the untruth that afterall we are all on the same plane. Ogun state also has access to the sea! But for the leprous governments of ur corrupt northern rulers most parts of the south would have been like Lagos. What of Portharcourt? Danmasani:Last i checked the north alone accounts for 79% of the world's cases of the polio virus! Go figure! Danmasani:this is not even about sharia. |
I-man:I definitely agree. I however think the "inexperienced and naive" tag has been used much more on Obama than Clinton in 1992. Clinton was actually seen as a fresh faced alternative to the gerontocratic regimes of Bush senior. |
k0be:That is the excuse white america is preparing in order not to be seen as racist. Clinton and Kennedy where about the same age as obama when they won landslide elections and just as inexperienced. What experience does Clinton have? Was she not one of those who voted in favour of the Iraq quagmire? |
karaye:Reading this you'd think ladies are 2yr olds. |
denex:we thank God, you get lifeline. ![]() |
Danmasani:Not even you can deny that without the south, northern Nigeria is as good as being no better than Niger Republic. Please tell us how much the entire 19 states in the north contribute to the federal purse. The south is not flowing with milk and honey but it is not a cesspool of disease, illiteracy, poverty and ignorance either. |
k0be:He's said he will be willing to talk to America's enemies like Iran, Venezuela e.t.c. That has drawn flak from the likes of Hillary Clinton who is capitalizing on that to show him up as naive and inexperienced. What clinton advocates is the same Bush strategy that has not worked in the last 8 yrs! If Obama loses he still has plenty of time to come back and recontest. Hillary Clinton is definitely the best material out there now. |
@ kobe, I have the feeling that Obama's only stumbling block will be the democratic primaries. If he beats Clinton then he is as good as having won the presidency. I doubt if America will vote a republican back to office whether the democratic candidate is black or white. Many white americans will vote for Obama, the problem is a lot of blacks still think he has no chance with white voters and wont bother to vote for him since it will be tantamount to a waste of your vote. Give Obama a shot. He sounds like the fresh face America needs to sell itself to a world that is increasingly hostile. clinton wont do any better than Bush! |
see wetin visa refusal don cause. ![]() |
Paw-Paw: If going to school all expenses paid by the federal government is synonymous with being humiliated by white people then i'd rather suffer this humiliation than go through the "joys" of rejection by my own government. you can always reapply for a visa. If na so e pain u reach. |
Paw-Paw:hating Nigeria is impossible, its just that the attitude of most of you latter day naija lovers (simply because you have no other choice) is nauseating. |
Paw-Paw:Chei, i feel u too. I just wished Nigeria cared about u or even realised that you existed. |
Paw-Paw:No stress dear paw-paw, get ready to have ur wife decked in a black burqa for the rest of her life. Enjoy urself in the islamic republic of Nigeria. |
Paw-Paw:As if your Nigerian certificates are accepted in ordinary Ghana! ![]() Any idiot smart enough to cheat can gain entry to the typical Nigerian glorified secondary schools aka universities. Is any of ur homegrown schools among the world's top 1000 colleges? |
Paw-Paw:If to tell the truth is to "boast" then so be it. How many bridges have collapsed in Nigeria and no one has been bothered? How many times have floods, collapsed buildings in Lagos, pipeline fire disasters and Nigerian army explosions led to the deaths of thousands of Nigerians and we all pretend as if all is well. Less than 50 Americans die in a bridge disaster and the usual "cast aspersions on America" brigade are here pontificating. At least here i can go home at 11pm without looking out for armed robbers! And did i forget to say i'm 110% sure electricity, gas and water supply is guaranteed? Paw-Paw:your family members must be having it very rough. Since i've been here i've had not one single complaint. Is racism present in America? Sure! Just the same way racism aka tribalism exists in Nigeria. Solve your problems first before picking out that of others. Paw-Paw:If you are rich enough to afford it, those "undue priviledges" are urs here too. Paw-Paw:America is not paved with gold but if you are hardworking you can achieve whatever you set ur mind to achieve. Can we say the same of Nigeria? |
of all people to use as role models tupac a confirmed thug? Is anyone still wondering why the black race is the most backward in the world? |
denex: Your own visa is on the way. |
Iobafemi:Just like the lives of the Iranians, Palestinians, Saudis, Pakistanis, Sudanese, iraqis, Yemeni? Sorry i prefer to pass. |
@ reverend, in no way am i threatening you with hell. Not at all. why should you feel threatened if according to you hell does not even exist? You are absolutely free to believe whatever you wish. I just wonder why there is so much desperate attempt to prove that God does not exist if you are so sure. guilty conscience? Fear maybe? |
karaye:Is anyone still wondering why Nigeria ( and northern Nigeria specifically) is still under the curse of underdevelopment despite her massive oil wealth? If this are the calibre of people the hausas can produce what hope does the common man have? |
denex: Paw-Paw:@ denex, maybe you should be the one appologizing, of all things i thought you were i never knew blinded bias would be one of them. @ paw-paw, it is hypocrites like you that will be on the US embassy queue tomorrow. remember to tell the immigration officer that you dont care for americans and their visa. |
karaye:ur post itself is a public exhibition of illiteracy. So that your neighbour's wife wears trousers is sufficient excuse to cheat on ur wife? Freedom in America has a limit sure, but i havent seen the police arresting women who choose to walk around without bras. No one has been caught raping them just yet. And yes the arabs are dirt poor, no amount of revisionist history can change that. |
Ah here comes the association of spiritually blinded unbelievers aka "freethinkers". Pls let us know how hell looks like, perhaps the freedom to think freely exists there. |
BlkRaven:Not really, that you reap what you sow is not synonymous with being given the choice to choose between good and evil. Obviously no one chooses to reap evil even when that is what they sow. BlkRaven:This is a classic example of the muddled thinking of he who considers himself a "freethinker". Is it possible to NOT have to pick a father but merely acknowledge that a father exists? 1. Every "God" has clearly distinct conditions and requirements; how do you know which one to follow? 2. Is merely treating someone the way they wish to be treated the general criteria demanded by all "gods"? 3. There is no middle road between right or wrong. You either choose a "god" to follow or you choose not to follow any. That is the real beauty of free thinking. BlkRaven:God is not a mysterious spiritual phenomenon. Depending on what "religion" you believe in, God is indeed real, with specific concepts of how to reach Him and how He speaks to us. Like every appliance we use in everyday life, God has His own manual. To pretend to have a relationship with Him outside that manual is to decieve yourself. Even witches and devils can also claim to be reaching out to "God" through their own experiences. |
If na so e pain u reach.
