While others with poor business plans that failed YOUWIN simply joined Team Buhari with the hope of collecting N5000 monthly stipend if papa wins. LOL I concur... Most of the Buhari fans i know personally are very frustrated human beings. Sometimes, i wish Buhari just wins let me see how these serial failures will still turn around to abuse him. Especially when Buhari's N5000 a month handout is no longer enough to buy Agege bread due to hyper-inflation. |

Politics › My Endorsement Of Jonathan In November Was A 'Spiritual Drama' - Rev Fr Mbaka by publisher(op): 8:27pm On Jan 03, 2015 |
Before his blistering New Year eve attack on President Goodluck Jonathan, with a demand he resigns or be voted out over Nigeria’s alarming insecurity and corruption, outspoken Catholic Priest, Ejike Mbaka, had a month earlier praised the president for “doing well”, defending him for not rescuing the abducted Chibok girls, a recording of the Church’s session shows.
At a November 2014 session of his Enugu parish, Father Mbaka told the visiting wife of the president, Patience Jonathan, that her husband had “done well”, and deserved a second term. He said Mr. Jonathan could have done more if not for “distractions”, apparently referring to the security challenges the administration has grappled with for years.
The cleric also faulted those blaming the president for not rescuing more than 200 schoolgirls abducted from Chibok by Boko Haram militants more than nine months ago. Campaigners had no reason asking the president to return the girls home since Mr. Jonathan was not keeping them, the priest said. “Jonathan is not a kidnapper,” Mr. Mbaka declared at a session also attended by deputy senate president, Ike Ekweremadu, and thousands of worshippers. A little more than a month later, the priest backtracked and urged Mr. Jonathan to “quietly resign” for failing to stem corruption and insecurity, and failing to provide jobs for Nigerian youth.
He also endorsed Mr. Jonathan’s main challenger in February presidential election, Muhammadu Buhari, canvassing support for him. It is not clear why the priest reversed his earlier position just within weeks. PREMIUM TIMES could not contact his office Saturday. But Mr. Mbaka’s blunt remarks on December 31 night appears a pointer to the uncertainties that may emerge as the nation moves towards February elections, which promises to be the nation’s most closely contested since 1999. The comments have sparked extensive debate in the country, the most intense yet for 2015.
At the November session, Mrs. Jonathan was the special guest of honour as the Enugu Church marked its 2014 annual thanksgiving and bazaar. She took a Bible reading from Genesis chapter 12: 2-3. Later, speaking directly to the First Lady as she knelt before the altar, Father Mbaka described her as a mother whose passion for Nigeria is widely acknowledged.
He said his ministry had always prayed for President Jonathan not only to win elections but to excel in leadership. “We are not stopping, because we want him to go back. Even if you don’t come here, we keep praying for him,” the priest said, addressing Mr. Jonathan directly. “Because the first one we did you were not here. We are not sycophantic. Because you and your husband have done well, in spite of the distractions.”
On performance, he said the president had done well, and could have done better, but for the “distractions”. “They are distracting you so that you will not achieve much,” he told Mrs. Jonathan. “You have done this without distraction, what of if there is no distraction.” He assured Mrs. Jonathan to “Go with the consolation of the Holy Spirit. The anointing of the Lord says God will make your family great.” While urging Nigerians to pray for the peace and unity of the country, the clergy lambasted those asking Mr. Jonathan to bring back the Chibok girls. “Jonathan must bring back the Chibok girls. Is Jonathan holding them? he asked scornfully, before turning to query the kneeling first lady, “Are they living in your house?”
When the congregation responded with a loud “No,” the priest declared, “So anybody positioning the concept of Jonathan must bring back the Chibok girls, then such people are holding the girls. They should release them. Not Jonathan. Jonathan is not a kidnapper.” Mrs. Jonathan later thanked the Church for the “spiritual intervention”, and said she was encouraged to “bring our people to the path of peace and unity at this time we are facing security challenges.” Mr. Mbaka later offered special prayers for the first lady and her husband.
But barely a month on, the priest accused Mr. Jonathan of steering Nigeria almost to ruin. “We need change, whatever it will be, let it be. This is my golden message to my beloved country,” he said in a sermon titled, ‘From good luck to bad luck’. “What actually is happening? The multitude of our youth; the quality young men, quality young women, brilliants youth – but nobody has plans for any of you, our so called leaders should come and apologise. In 2015, it shall not continue like that.” Edged on by the crowed that cheered and screamed, the priest continued, “During election, Jonathan will answer Azikiwe, Ebele and become an Ibo man and after election, the Ebele, the Azkiwe and Goodluck will vanish from his identity. Who is fooling who actually?
The priest recalled the November session with the First Lady, and said the “spiritual drama” he performed that day, using pigeons, showed the president would lose the forthcoming elections. He said four birds were freed from the cage to fly up but the one that represented Mr. Jonathan refused to move even though it was the healthiest.
“When God rejected Saul, David took over. Let me tell you, in the history of Nigeria, we have never experienced bloodshed as we have in the time of Goodluck. If Goodluck means bloodshed for Nigerians, are you waiting until your own blood is shed,” he said, as the crowad chorused, “No”. http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/174210-before-attacking-jonathan-priest-ejike-mbaka-praised-president-endorsed-his-re-election.htmlNa wa o... is the Nigerian Catholic church OK with this? |

Politics › #GoodluckCharm: A Must Read - "I Choose Goodluck Jonathan." [pic] by publisher(op): 10:19am On Jan 01, 2015 |
Bumped into this article just now, and even though I've always being Pro-GEJ, this write-up has strengthened my resolve to remain so.
I, @Publisher endorse this message. http://mrstanleynwabia..com/2015/01/i-choose-goodluck-jonathan.htmlI CHOOSE GOODLUCK JONATHAN.
My saddest experience as a Nigerian in this super-charged political dispensation is being constantly 'accused' of supporting Jonathan because I'm Igbo (even though Mr President is Ijaw). While Buhari continues to enjoy fanatical support from a certain section of Nigeria PURELY because of his tribe and religion.
I have pitched my tent with President Goodluck Jonathan and these are my reasons.
1. Privatization of Electricity sector was first muted in the 90s; other administrations foot dragged because of massive corruption in areas of awarding contracts to cronies to supply electricity equipments, transformers etc. Today, GOODLUCK JONATHAN has privatized the power sector and the new private owners are working round the clock to overhaul this 35-year crippled industry.
2. In Post-oil boom era of 70s, 80s, 90s and early 2000s, AGRICULTURE was turned into a social development programme where Government ‘begged’ citizens to return to farms while officials stole billions through fertilizer racket. Today, under GOODLUCK JONATHAN Agriculture has been transformed from a social programme into a BUSINESS. Fertilizer racketeering has ended while Farmers now receive Agricultural inputs from government through a modern E-wallet system. Nigeria’s food production has increased while food imports have dropped. FACT
3. For decades Nigerians traveling to the East spent hours stuck on the Benin-Ore Road, previous administrations including Buhari-led PTF looked the other way while Nigerians suffered and died on that road. GOODLUCK JONATHAN did not repair Benin-Ore road, his administration reconstructed it. Today, the once notorious Benin-Ore road is now a modern spectacle. Many more federal roads have been or are being overhauled or completely reconstructed, including the popular Lagos/Ibadan Expressway.
4. Before this administration, MOST of Nigeria’s vehicle assembling plants where dead and buried. Our economy wholly relied on imported cars through the ports or by land via Cotonou. Today, GOODLUCK JONATHAN’s automotive policy has revived the vehicle manufacturing and assembling industry in Nigeria. Hyundai, Nissan, and Peugeot have resumed car assembling in Nigeria. Innoson Motors, Nigeria’s first indigenous car-brand is being patronized and encouraged by government.
5. Previous governments starved and destroyed Nigeria’s Railway system so as to encourage use of Trailers on roads-a sector controlled by their cronies. Railway tracks throughout Nigeria were converted into ‘bend-down-select’ markets for second hand clothing. GOODLUCK JONATHAN’s government revived the rail system in incredible ways so much so that KPMG recently listed the almost complete Abuja-Kaduna Modern Rail System as one of the top 100 infrastructural developments in the world. When was the last time any Nigerian project received this type of international recognition?
6. Boko Haram was ‘empowered’ to bring this current administration to its knees; those who started the fire are now crying the loudest. Communities that once paid taxes to the sect and harbored members have now become constant target for the sect . Innocent adjoining communities and citizens are being killed, raped and kidnapped by these demons. The Nigerian army alongside brave citizens is constantly battling this evil sect, killing thousands thus far. However, no government in the world can prevent some of its ‘foolish citizens’ from wearing suicide vests and blowing themselves up killing other innocent people in the process. A few Northern Nigerian leaders that have the charismatic power to aggressively mobilize their people against Boko Haram have refused to do so until one of their own wins the presidential elections. GOODLUCK JONATHAN keeps on fighting terrorism.
7. GOODLUCK JONATHAN has built over nine (9) new federal universities; today EVERY Nigerian state has a federal university.
8. There was a time when Government Youth Empowerment programmes in Nigeria meant giving monthly stipends to young political thugs and their allies while the real Nigerian youth suffered. GOODLUCK JONATHAN created the YOUWIN scheme and for the first time in Nigeria's history, brilliant Nigerian youths with competitive business plans are becoming direct beneficiaries of government financial grants. The YOUWIN selection process is powered by reputable private consultants and as such bona-fide winners emerge without any connections with Abuja officials.
GOODLUCK JONATHAN’s government has outperformed his predecessors in spite of the horrible challenges of insecurity. Nigerians must not allow themselves to be hoodwinked by those pushing forward a re-branded religious bigot as alternative to President Goodluck Jonathan. Nigerians must not vote for an analogue leader, though 'probably' not corrupt but has a history of being easily swindled by his much more intelligent subordinates, be it in 1984 as a dumb military ruler, in the 1990s as PTF chairman and today as Asiwaju’s puppet.
So please, call me Igbo, TANoid, Jonathanian or whatever; if all Goodluck Jonathan gains at the 2015 polls is just ONE single vote, that would be my thumb print right there.
Vote GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN and NAMADI SAMBO in 2015.
Vote PDP

Politics › Under GEJ Nigeria's Entertainment Industry Boomed, Artistes Became Richer. by publisher(op): 10:29am On Dec 31, 2014 |
Today, you see Nigerian entertainers flaunting their latest jeeps, houses, watches etc. Yet, some misguided and 'failed' Lagos artistes chose to endorse Buhari. Azadus? Really?
As at 2009, Nigerians could count the number of artistes that had REAL money, all this changed when GEJ took over.
Goodluck Jonathan expanded the Nigerian economy and created more opportunities for the creative industry. GEJ's administration produced more middle-class Nigerians than could easily pay N5000 for a Nigerian music concert-such rates were once limited to foreign artistes.
Many companies blosomed under GEJ's economy such that they had excess millions to offer Nigerian entertainers for Brand Endorsements. Today, an unknown Nigerian artiste with just one hit song can become a millionaire over-night. This is because Nigeria's economy has become more advanced and fully accomodates and rewards creativity.
These are undeniable facts.
In a Buhari government only artistes like DANMARAYA JOS will be allowed to prosper. LooooooooL!!! |

The very foolish APC does not realize that Osinbajo's PR moves have begun to unsettle Buhari's core supporters up North who now feel that Osinbajo is actually being groomed to takeover from Buhari in a very short time.
Rumors of Buhari's alleged ill health and another 'Yaradua scenario' is now spreading in the core-North like wildfire.
This is because in a presidential system of government such as ours Vice-Presidents are more like submissive house-wives, to be seen not heard.
But when an Osinbajo who has not even become a Vice-President is already struggling for lime light with his boss Buhari then something is fundamentally wrong somewhere.
This just makes life easier for PDP. |

Politics › Strange Feeling Apc/tinubu Are Purposely Sending Buhari On A Wild Goose Chase. by publisher(op): 9:29am On Dec 26, 2014 |
1. No Northern power broker has stepped out behind Buhari. Most retired Northern military Generals including IBB, Useni, Abdulsalam are subtly in GEJ's camp.
2. How is it that Sule Lamido turned around to start campaigning for GEJ?
3. PDP and TAN have remained relatively quiet while they watch a muslim conservative Buhari 'forced' to put on suits and play with western gadgets.
4. VP candidate, Osinbajo has suddenly stepped into the lime-light with supposed grassroot campaigns. Even though we all know that if Buhari wins, his personal toilet cleaner at Aso rock will be more powerful than Osinbajo.
I feel a political compromise has already been reached.
I think the major concern of GEJ is how to manage GMB's fanatical supporters offline. GMB's online supporters are powerless and will fade into oblivion after the elections. But the illiterate and semi-illiterate core Northern supporters of GMB are the biggest issue now.
These are my personal intuitive observations, i could be wrong though. |
