Hello, I took the vaccine (Moderna) in my second trimester, about a month ago. Only side effect was pain in the arm, nothing else. Looking to take my second dose next month. impeccablerose: Good day, beautiful mamas. New to this thread.
Please has anyone here taken COVID 19 vaccine while pregnant (first trimester) or do you know of anyone who has? If yes, did you experience any weird reactions or funny symptoms from the vaccine? |

Hi Myra, How are you doing. Sent several emails but they didn't deliver. I used the drug; applied the full dosage and went for an ultrasound to check and see if the uterus was empty two weeks after. Didn't have to use anything other than the Misoprostol. Virtual hugs BlessedMyra: Aside misoprosol no other drugs |

Hey Mama, My heart bleeds for you cause I know exactly what you are going through. I have had two miscarriages that were due to a blighted ovum. I want you to know that this was not your fault. It is not because you didn't pray hard enough. It is unfortunate but there is nothing you could have done to cause it. God sees and knows everything. He will give you the babies that will stay, I know this for a fact, because I am now in my second trimester. Please take the time to grieve, especially with your husband. It willl be well. Virtual hugs. BlessedMyra: I didn’t know I will come to write this but unfortunately I am writing this God knows best Blighted ovum
All those symptoms God you know how much I cried and begged for this gift
You know how I rolled at your alter to ask for this baby why did u give it to me and it didn’t develop Y do I have to go thru this pain Baby y did you do this to me Y did u break my heart How can I brk this news to your father who is already madly in love with What will I do with the lovely nursery your dad has already set up
If you wanted to break my heart why didn’t you consider your daddy God I can’t bear this You said no one will experience miscarriage do you now lie You said affliction will not arise the 2nd My creator this is the 3rd time
What have I not done I was managed by a specialist Why am I so different in the family This is not in my lineage why me Biko somebody answer me
I am drained Mentally and physically Now I am waiting to either evacuate or my body pushes it out |

Yup, living and settled in Canada. Thanks for the response! Iyamefa: Are you already in Canada and settled? If yes,it’s not compulsory to notarize the letter of invitation. It’s not stated anywhere on the application that this letter should be notarized. I applied for my parents including this letter which I simply typed and attached and their applications have since been approved. |

Thank you so much for this!!!! Cheers 4Barr: Nope, you dont need to, just make sure that you attach your PR card (front & back) and in the letter's content you include the following; - Your full name - Your residential address (and include a copy of your lease agreement showing your name as tenant and also that your mum will be staying there with you with no recourse to public funds) -Your employment details (where you work, if its full time state it also, if not you can be silent on that) - Quote your mum's travel document number and the duration of her visit (ideally state that its for a month or two) - Refer to the purpose of the trip and get your mum to also write a separate letter stating her purpose of visit too and make sure the travel dates matches on both letters - State unequivocally that you'll be responsible for her expenses even if she's submitting her bank statements ( you can avoid this if you dont have a full-time job yet) - State her DOB on the letter and her contact information - Attach your employment documents, paystubs and bank statements (depending on your financial status) - Also attach your mum's bank statements (depending on her financial status too) - Finally include your detailed contact address, phone number and email address too. |

Hello. I want to invite my mum, and i would please like to know if i must notorize the letter of invitation. Would appreciate your response 4Barr: It depends on your own financial status. I processed Visit visa for both my mum and mother-in-law within a month and they were both approved within two weeks of completion of biometrics. for my mum's application she submitted her own bank statements while for my mother-in-law we submitted our own bank statements from Canada, employment letter and payslips. PS the latter will depend on your current financial employment status. |

Landing gist! Family of 3 left Nigeria for Toronto on Monday via Ethiopian airlines. We took a total of 6 boxes, 2 hand luggages. Hubs did all the heavy lifting at the airport. The flight was uneventful (which is what we all hope for anyways ). We arrived Toronto by 7am. However there was a little queue at immigration. The immigration officers were not ready for work that Tuesday morning. They were just gisting and chilling. Seriously, we spent 2.5hrs on that queue (one lady even missed her connecting flight to Ottawa). One guy kept complaining and eventually asked one officer the cause of the delay. The officer replied "good question", and walked away . There was a lady just before me who spent 1hr with 2 officers. Seriously i became scared cause i kept wondering what was going on. Hubs kept reminding me that everyone's case is different. Eventually it got to our turn and it lasted for like 15mins. He didn't ask any serious question, just wanted to know the total value of cash we were carrying. The officer even expressed surprise when he heard we had been waiting for 2.5hrs. I just dey look am with one eye Eventually he said the magic words "you are now a permanent resident of Canada, welcome to Canada" We moved onto canada service for our SIN, and after collecting our baggage, hubs opened an account with CIBC at the airport. They gave both of us SIM cards with public mobile and $60 voucher each. We are currently at the BnB and its really nice. My daughter cried the first day from the cold, but she is adjusting well. We were able to get more warm clothing from shop. So far so good. Trying to find an apartment. All in all, enjoying Toronto. |

Had the same issue when booking earlier this month. We had to reserve and pay for the booking at their office in VI. The staff there mentioned they had stopped accepting debit cards from Nigeria because of fraud. MissEmmy: Please I'm trying to book my flight through Ethiopian Airways. The payment options doesn't include debit card, and I'm not familiar with the options provided. Can someone put me through on how to go about this? Thanks |

I think you should be alright. My husband left Australia last month and his super came in a few weeks after that. Its part of funds we will be showing on landing. If you can get a statement from your superannuation confirming how much you would have access to upon leaving the country. That should work. Good luck soulhighman: After reading Teecann's post, I am beginning to think I already have more money for my POF than I thought.
My situation:
I am currently in australia on a temporary visa. There is this scheme known as superannuation fund in which your employer is expected to contribute 9.5% of your income to a fund which will be invested on your behalf.
Normally, you shouldn't have access to this money until you retire. But if you're on a temporary visa and your visa has expired and you're leaving or you've left the country, you can get your funds.
After reading Teecann's post where he says his pf said in the letter that he can access the funds four months after retirement, I guess I can get my superannuation fund to get me a similar document.
I believe it should be acceptable by CIC. |

Hello. I used the funds in my mutual fund as my POF. In order to get the letter, you need to pay N2,625 to the asset management account and send the proof of payment to them via an email. See below; Bank – Stanbic IBTC Account name – Stanbic IBTC Asset Management Account number – 0001373656 Branch – Idejo Forward the proof of payment to assetmanagement@stanbicibtc.com, Mutualfunds@stanbicibtc.com Also indicate who you would like the letter to be addressed to. Hope this helps 30watts: Please has anyone applied with Stanbic IBTC Mutual Funds specifically the Guranteed and Money market funds? Does Stanbic print the statement alongwith the letter required by IRCC? . Is only the pof letter sufficient? I am asking because I recently added money from my saving account (650K on October so as to top up to the required amount and I got ITA today despite not expecting to.
Secondly, who do we write to to request the pof letter. I am current outside the country and cannot visit their office for this. Please help my 60 days has started counting..... God bless |
