I think is better u don't talk about your dropping out of school.

just tell them that u suffered some lost which leads to you starting ur admission process late.

pls what's the name of ur school and did u made any tuition payment before getting your f120?
Dear expertman,
It is called I-20 (pronounced "eye-twenty"wink.

You are welcome.

Visa approved 6:30 am yesterday at the Lagos consulate by that tough guy in window 6. Those present there would have noticed I was the first person he approved that morning ( lady on lemon coloured blazers and black skirt) after denying the first 3 people he attended to. He was just dashing out denials like its his wedding invitation, while the female VO beside him was very lenient. I give God all the glory. Transcript loading.
Congratulations dear. I've been waiting silently to hear your success story.

Thanks biikeys. What about a prospective employer from naija and how about VO disposition to this?
I think stewee (on this thread too) was sponsored by an airline company in Nigeria to train in the US so as to be absorbed by the airline after his training as a pilot. That fact alone demonstrates a certain level of home ties which could come in handy during your interview. So...yes, it is to your advantage if your employer in Nigeria is sending you for further studies abroad. However, be ready to give a cogent reason why your company would be spending so much on your studies.
Good luck.

all they will do again is get another court order from the court to throw the guy out and police will do the rest. that's Nigeria for you, very lawless
No bro, no court has jurisdiction to make an order of possession based solely on the document above.
If a court does that, the decision will be quashed on appeal.
Properties / Re: Help Needed. I Was Given A Quit Notice To Vacate Within Seven Days by purplesummer(f): 6:56am On Jun 26, 2016
Allow him to serve you the court summons then you meet him in court. Notice to Quit and an Owner's Intention to Apply to Recover Possession (otherwise called 7days notice) are two separate documents which should be served separately. From the snapshot, I can see he merged both the quit notice and 7days notice together. That is very wrong.

By the way, did you sign any tenancy agreement before you moved in? If so, did you read the terms of the agreement?

I used the Flywire this year and found it pointless.......Not sure why it is been used

You log into and create an account with the student details and at the end it gives you a REFERENCE number

So the point of it all is that Reference number that would link your payment to the student ........Once it done then it gives you the FLywire account details for you to then go to your bank and make the payment or transfer yourself stating the reference number .

If thats the point why cant you just transfer directly to the school blc at the end of FLYwire you still go to your bank and do the transfer.... Through Form A payment or however bank transfer.

I though the site would allow you pay through a card system. Then it would have been a more useful site

Anyway enough of the rambling .......... In a summary that how it works
Oh, thank you very much. From the hand bill I received, flywire claims to afford one a reasonable exchange rate. Do you know anything about their exchange rate?

Pls has anyone here filled the Form A?

Did your school make use of 'FlyWire' ?.
I have a couple of questions.

1. If one one makes a transfer in excess of Tuition will one have the opportunity of getting a refund when you get there
2. Are you to make the transfer into Admission Office or Student Account?
3. How long did the transfer take.

Thanks

P.S. I know the school is in the best position to answer most of the questions but I want to know incase anyone has faced similar issue
My school makes use of flywire. If you figure out how that stuff works, please do let me know. Lol

I pondered how that is possible then i went to Wikipedia and saw they have an enrollment of like 300 student size. .... congrats although never heard of the school .

Just take a bank statement with you to show you can covers maintenance fee(if accommodation is not covered ) and have the i20 corrected . Make sure the i20 specify that is tuition is covered
I know about the school. It's famous for being tuition free.

Congrats dear, quick question hope dat ds160 issue is nothing because i did same on mine n will soon go for my interview
Hi dear, mind you I did not submit the old ds 160 when I used the confirmation number to book appointment. So when I saw the error, I only filled out a new ds 160 for lagos and updated my profile on the appointment page to reflect the new ds 160 code. The bar code on the appointment page was changed accordingly before I submitted the new ds 160. So, if you've already submitted your ds 160, it might be a different issue all together. Whatever you do though, be sure that the ds 160 bar code matches with the one on your appointment page.

I wanted to share my transcript when I'm more relaxed but...I can't wait grin

I thought I'd have issues with my DS 160/ appointment page bar codes. I filled out a ds 160 for abj consulate and used the confirmation number to book appointment for lagos. Lol. Anyway, I had it sorted out, ran to walspring and he allayed my fears. Told me everything is fine.

So, I was the first person to arrive the lagos consulate at 5:10am. I didn't enjoy the wait though. One of the security guys told me I look good and that if I could just add a smile to it...so I had it mind to smile even when I didn't feel like it undecided

So after biometrics and all, we waited for the VOs to arrive. I was 3rd in line so I thought I'd be interviewed by the woman in window 3 but nah, God had better plans for me. I and the 1st 2 persons were interviewd at window 7. The chubby white guy.
He approved the 2 people before me. It was then my turn.

VO: so tell me about your programme
PS(PurpleSummer): oh, I'm going for my masters in law. I'd be concentrating on Environmental law.

VO: how did you get to know abt the school?
PS: they sent me a direct email

VO: (looks at me) why would they do that?
PS: (I smiled) they saw my profile on the Law school admission council website so they contacted me and encouraged me to apply

VO: what courses would you be taking in your first semester
PS: I'd be taking courses on Energy Policy and Climate Change, Environmental Advocacy, Natural Resources Law, Toxic Tort (I spelt T-O-R-T for him so he won't think I mean thought. Lol. Vo nodded like...I know it's tort) and International Environmental Law.

VO: what was your undergraduate on?
PS: law

VO: When did you graduate?
PS: 2011

VO: what have you been doing since then?
PS: I attended the nigerian law school for one year, did my NYSC and since then I've been in active legal practice

VO: have you been called to bar?
PS: yes

When?
PS: 2012.

VO: (brings out white paper) I see you chose to collect your passport in portharcourt, (circles an address, handed me both paper, i-20 and sevis fee receipt) you'll need these at the point of entry...blah blah, I said thanks, he thanked me too.
PS: walks out like a boss.

Ps: School is University of Maryland, Baltimore.

I want to thank every single person on this thread, I dedicate this success to you all. A huge dosage of the thanks goes to walspring, Holudarey01, don4ye, bigfrancis21 (I gave him one helluva disturbance), OjaP, mystiqme (Your words were both visionary and prophetic) mekurexx, baodium et al. God bless you all!
